Foreword
“Why do you suddenly care what I think, anyway?" Mir asked, his voice getting louder, "You didn’t seem to care when you started yelling at me with all this crap about me calling you an . You wouldn’t even let me say my side of the story, and now you suddenly care what I have to say?”
“I always cared what you thought, especially when you started talking smack about me behind my back. When did I ever not listen to you?”
“I don’t know, maybe while you’ve been pissed for the past couple weeks? And I told you, I never talked smack about you,” Mir yelled, his fists clenched.
Joon ignored the last part, stepping closer to Mir. “Don’t even think about lying to me.”
A single tear trickled down Mir’s face. “Why would I lie to you? Do you really think I’m that kind of person?” he picked his bag up off the ground and walked past Joon to the door, but he grabbed Mir’s arm before he could get anywhere.
Mir heard Joon sigh. “Fine,” Joon began, “give me one good reason why I should believe you.”
Slowly, Mir turned around, and Joon saw tears streaming down his face. “Because I’m in love with you,” Mir said, “is that a good enough answer for you?”
Joon just stood there, a look of disbelief on his face. “What?”
“I said I’m in love with you. But it doesn’t matter, because you don’t feel the same way, and I know that for sure. Especially since Seungho told me about you and Park Bom.”
“Wait, wha-”
“Whatever. Your fault for asking.”
With that, Mir yanked his arm out of Joon’s hand and ran out the door. “MIR!” Joon yelled after him, but he was already gone.
Joon fell to the ground, letting his head fall into his hands.
Mir, you’ve got it all wrong.
I don’t love her, or any other girl like her.
I just love you.
