“Jie Jie!” I called into the phone.

“Yes?” Her soft voice answered.

“I’m at the airport right now. Do you think your manager could let you pick me up?” I asked.

There was silence on the other line. Oh dear. “Uh, I’m not sure Hua. Why don’t you take a cab to this address? No need to speak Korean.

Just write this down and show it to the driver.”

“Mkay.” I got out a pen and a paper. I wrote down the address and went outside to hail a cab. “Taxi!” I yelled in English. Thankfully I had

lived in the states most of my life and some people in knows some English. One taxi stopped for me and I put my bags in the trunk. “Uh,

here please.” I spoke in English. I handed him the piece of paper. He nodded and drove me there. I paid the driver and thanked him,

bowing down.

The people passing by stared at me. I felt uncomfortable so I went in the building. In front of me was a desk with a lady behind it. On the

wall was the word “SM Ent.” Oh so I’m in the SM building, where all the magic happens. I looked around the lobby and found myself sitting

in a sofa. I put down my bags and rested there.

Then the lady at the desk came over and asked me something. I didn’t understand because of the language barrier so I just stared at her.

She hesitated and went back to the desk and grabbed a piece of paper. She handed it over to me. I looked at the paper with a weird look.

There was Korean, Chinese, Japanese, and English on it. I read the Chinese section learning that it was SM audition form. I looked back at

the lady and smiled at her. I gave the paper back and shook my head. She pushed it back in my hand and pointed at the Japanese

characters. I suddenly got it. I pointed to the Chinese Characters and she nodded smiling. She held up a finger as if telling to wait and she

got into the elevator.

A few moments later she came out with Super Junior’s Kyuhyun. I knew Victoria was here somewhere. The lady said something to

Kyuhyun and he nodded, turning to me. “Ni Hao.” He started.

“Ni hao.” I said back, bowing a little.

“Uh, Did you eat?” he said in an accent and I giggled.

“Yes, I’m looking for Victoria. f(x).” I told him as easily as possible so he’ll understand.

He nodded and spoke to the lady. I heard “f(x)” and “Victoria.”

“Wait a little.” He said in broken Chinese. I nodded and sat back. Silence filled the air while the lady got Victoria. I heard the ding of the

elevator and Victoria came out with the lady.

“Hua?” she said.

I laughed. “Did I change that much? Because you did. You look so pretty!”

“Xie Xie.” She turned to Kyuhyun and bowed to him. He waved a hand and joined us. “What did he say to you?” she asked.

“Uh, ‘did you eat?’ And yeah.” I said. Victoria started laughing and hit Kyuhyun. She said something that made him pout.

“I’m practicing my dance would you like to watch?” She offered. I nodded and she said something to Kyuhyun.

 I was about to pick up my bags when Kyuhyun stopped me. “Wo lai  (Let me.).” I smiled in thanks and followed Victoria to the elevator.

While we were in the elevator another passenger got on. Both Victoria and Kyuhyun bowed. I quickly followed in suit. He eyed me carefully

and asked them something in Korean. Victoria answered something. The man observed me like I was a doll in a store. He nodded his head

said something to Victoria. She nodded. Then the elevator beeped and the man went out.

“Here it is.” Victoria said after walking to the dance room. She bowed to Kyuhyun and I did the same.

“What’s your name?” he asked me.

“Uh, Cheng Ai Hua.”  He nodded.

“How old are you?”

“1988.” I answered

“Eh?! Me too!” He stuck out his hand. “Friends.”

I shook hands and nodded. Victoria dragged me into the dance room. The f(x) members came running to Victoria. They pointed at me

and whispered. “Ni hao! Luna.” A girl with shoulder length black hair went up to me. “You’re older than me right? 1988.”

“Yes, how did you know Chinese so well?” Luna stared at me with a blank expression.

“Sorry, she’s still learning.” Victoria explained.

 “Sulli.” The cute one smiled at me.

Victoria said something to Amber and Amber went up to me. “Yo, what’s up? I’m Amber.” I was surprised. Victoria knows that studied in

the states for most of my life.

“Hi, I’m Krystal, I’m from the states too.” She smiled.

“Lucy.” I introduced myself in English. “Sorry guys, keep practicing.” I said to them. Krystal translated it to them and Victoria blasted the

music. They were practicing to the song LA chA TA. Towards the middle of the dance, I found myself dancing in my seat along to the beat

of the music. Victoria must’ve saw and grabbed my hand and made me dance. I was just standing there at first glaring at Victoria. Then

Amber pushed me lightly and made me dance. I only danced for about 30 seconds until the song was over and, I heard clapping. I looked

to the doorway and saw Super Junior standing there along with the man I saw earlier in the elevator.

“Oh, new f(x)!” Heechul yelled. Then the guy came over to me and motioned me to follow him. I did and I followed him to a room. He

called his secretary over and she
