Daughter of the Moon
Description
"There was a story, only once told. A story of love that bookstores hadn't sold.
It wasn't just a tale of a man that felt love's true form, but of a deity who shook the palace by a storm."

Foreword
Mankind had known of the story of Haesik and Daesoon, the poor orphaned children who became the Sun and the Moon, after Cheonjiwang, the supreme ruler of the world, granted their pleas of saving them from the white tiger who wanted to devour them. Since then, Haesik, the sister of the Moon, and Daesoon, the brother of the Sun, stood guard in the heavens, glancing upon the people whom they've left behind.
Soon after, the children grew. It had been years since then, and he hadn't seen his sister since---because he governed the night, while she, the day, and it was ominous to see the two of them in the same sky, for if he visits the day, the day will turn to night, and if she visits the night, the Moon would drip blood. Daesoon, the Moon, had 5 beautiful daughters. He didn't sire all of them, for he did not have a wife, but created them to accompany him in his lonesome abode.
The first, he named Joohyun, was crafted by the wind, the embodiment of a muse. She makes poets heart soar, and writers bleed words, for her beauty inspires creativity---as well as envy in the hearts filled with vanity. The Moon hid her, because he feared for her. Of what other divinities might do at the sight of her.
The second, whom he named Seulgi, sprang from the earth. She had been the seed of his tears---the tears that fell one bloody night when families purged each other and people cried for survival. Those tears took root and willed her into being, hence she embodied compassion and nurturing kindness, the subdued personality of the earth. The Moon had spotted her wondering in the human world, her otherworldliness causing many men to pursue her. Daesoon had sent down his servants with a silver palaquin to fetch her before she endangers herself and so that she could be with her sister too.
The third, not long after, was named Seungwan. She was made from fire, passionate in all the arts, but scary in her rage. He had made her with his sweet sister in mind, whose strong personality rivaled the physique of the Sun. She, much to his relief, had taken a liking to solitude. Prefering the familiar over the unfamiliar, and wanting to be with her sisters than to explore the world below.
The fourth, who was the most troublesome of all, was the daughter he sired. Born from his love. She came to life after he, at the height of his emotions, dipped down the horizons to place a chaste kiss upon the Sea. The waves then churned, and she emerged, a wailing babe with a voice so clear. He knew then he'd have to keep her too, for the Sea was her mother and the Sea was a curious being who kept reaching out for the shore, wanting to know the life beyond, but never truly knowing what it is. Her mother named her Sooyoung, before the Moon took her to his three daughters to be raised. He did it with the clearest of intentions for the land was terrible, a place filled with tigers. Daesoon feared that his child would be gobbled up, just like what the white tiger did to their old mother.
The youngest, who was the most beloved of all, was made by the hands of her own sisters. She was sculpted from ice and the Moon gave her the breath of life. She was undoubtedly cold in appeal, her face rarely showing a myriad of expression in a span of a minute. But she has the warmest of smiles and eyes that would twinkle with delight whenever she was with her sisters. Because Yerim, for that was the name bestowed upon her, loved her sisters very much.
"Now the Moon was a protective god, who kept his daughters dear,
So he forbid them from going past the palace gates, and to always keep near.
But his fourth child, curious as she was, wondered about the world below;
What the humans were like and the things they reap and sow.
Her troublesome curiosity then started it all,
When the fourth daughter escaped the palace by winter after fall."

I honestly should stop doing this. Lol.

Please tell me what you think. This is just a plot bunny I'm planning to write. But I'm not really sure if I should.
i don't even know where I should go with this. But I do know that this is going to be a short story. Maybe 3-5 chapters tops. Or maybe even less. The theme is korean mythology (though I'm pretty sure there are greek aspects in it as well. Honestly, RV seems like the equivalent of the Muses in Greek Mythology. Lol) and Korean history. I had written historical stories but they were mostly set in the western areas (Middle Ages and Victorian Eras for the world wooohooo!). So this is like a challenge. Hahah.
So please, pleeeeeaaaaase. Feedback would be nice.
