Na Ra’s P.O.V

“What?! What is wrong with my plan?” I asked, pouting slightly.

“You are asking to use my body to talk to them! Why would I be okay with that?!” He raised his voice, making me see that maybe it wasn’t that great of an idea as I thought it was.

“But…come ooonnnn. It’s not like I will be proding into that most likely y brain of yours. I will just be like… a visitor in your body.” I said nonchalantly, as if it was the easiest decision in the world. He just looked less convinced than before.

“That sounds even worse! No, Na Ra. I am not letting you do it.” He shook his head, disturbed at the thought. “Can’t we just do the board again? It wasn’t that bad last time.” He suggested again, making me roll my eyes.

“Seriously? It was like how I used to talk to my grandma - super slow. It takes forever to answer something! That’s why I want to do this. It will be quick and easy. Pleeassseeee,” I begged, trying to give him the puppy dog eyes I used to always give my parents when I wanted to get something. They would always cave in but he wasn’t as easy.

“No.”

“DAMN YOU!” I yelled out of impulse, making him stifle a laugh at my outburst. “Then what? Just what do you think would be the best way?” I asked, crossing my arms over my chest. Let’s see what you think of then, I thought, cursing him out in my head. He pondered for a second, when his eyes landed across the room on his computer. He ran over and started to pull up a tab.

“What are you doing?” I asked, curious as to what this sudden great idea was. I watched as he pulled up this thing called LINE. It looked like a type of text platform between people. I hated to admit it, but I was intrigued.

“We can use this. It’s what I use to talk to some of my old friends and some of the others if there are connection problems. This should work perfectly!” He said, seeming proud of himself. “You can type, right?” He asked, getting out from the chair and motioning me to take his place. I slowly sat down, and after concentrating on my fingers, I was able to feel the smooth surface of the keys. I quickly tried to spell a word, a little happy that it worked so well.

‘Bewbs’?” Yugyeom asked when seeing what I typed on the screen. “Really.”

“What! I was trying to appeal to your friends.” I retorted, throwing him off guard. He rolled his eyes at my explanation.

“So, this will work then?” He asked, waiting for an answer.

“My idea was better,” I mumbled under my breath.

“What?”

“Oh yeah, this is great! Perfect!” I said loudly, giving him my fake cheery voice like I totally didn’t just say otherwise. He questioned me, giving me a certain look, but quickly gave up.

“Okay, I am going to go tell them that it’s time.” He said, heading towards the stairs to the second floor.

“WAIT!” I suddenly yelled, making him stop and turn to look at me once more. He raised his eyebrow, as if giving me a que to continue. “What are you going to tell them? That you talked to me and that we figured this out? They don’t even know that you can see me.” I said, pointing out the obvious. He stopped, showing that he didn’t really think of that before. “So what are you going to tell them then?” I asked, trying to find a way to make this work. I mean it wouldn’t be horrible if they knew that Yugyeom could see me but it would definitely raise some questions.

He bit his lip, deep in thought, as if thinking what he should do. I stared at him as I waited for an answer but when seeing no give, I spoke up.

“You know what, I will just send a text. Easy and simple. Then they won’t know anything and will just guess that I hacked you somehow.” I said. “Leave your phone up here too so they think I took it. It will make things easier.” I explained, heading over in front of him. I stuck my hand out, motioning for me to give the phone to me. Bewildered, he slowly reached into his front pocket and gently placed it on my palm. I grabbed it and set it back down on the desk.

“Now go! Before they think you are doing something weird up here,” I teased, catching him even farther off guard. His cheeks flushed slightly at the mention and then he quickly left without a word. I couldn’t help but laugh a little when seeing his face. How cute.

Yugyeom’s P.O.V

I ran for the door to the second floor, completely embarrassed. How could she say something like that? And make that face of all things? It had me confused for sure and I didn’t know how to take it. I tried to quickly shake the thought from my mind as I took the stairs down to the living room. I reached the bottom and was not surprised when seeing them set up the Ouija board.

They looked so serious, lighting the candles, and placing the board perfectly in the middle. If I didn’t know any better it was like the world was ending and this was the answer they needed if they were to survive. I cleared my throat to let them know that I was here, and they looked up confused.

“Why is your face red?” Youngjae asked, making me freeze. What?

“N-No reason,” I coughed slightly, trying to mask my embarrassment even further. Damn you Na Ra. They didn’t seem to believe me but they let it slide - thankfully.

All of a sudden, one of the guys got a notification from their phone. He quickly grabbed it and looked to see what it was.

“Wait. Yugyeom, what is this?” Jackson asked, bringing his phone over for all of us to see. We glanced at the screen to see a message from supposedly me saying 'Hello there boys’. They gave a glance at me expecting an answer but I shrugged, indicating that I had no idea why. Then another ding rang throughout the room, showing that 'I’ sent him another text. 'It is I, the friendly house ghost - Na Ra. Now you weren’t expecting that, were you? ;)’

The boys looked utterly confused and looked to me for answers.

“What is this Yugyeom?” Jaebum questioned. I gave them a look like I didn’t know what was going on.

“I have no idea.” I said, trying to be as convincing as I could be.

“Is it really Na Ra?” Junior asked, staring at the phone intensely. Another text came in.

'Yes it is me, you dimwitted bafoons. I took your friend’s phone so ta-dah, instant communication. I saw you setting up the Ouija board and no way was I going to sit through that again. Talk about last year.’

Some of the boys laughed at what she wrote, clearly amused. I couldn’t help but smile as well. She is such a weirdo, I thought.

“Well what should we say?” Mark asked. “And way to go on losing your phone ,” Mark teased me, making me smile awkwardly in return.

“Maybe we should ask her why she left so quickly last night? It’s what we wanted to ask right?” Bambam piped, taking turns to look at each of us. We decided that was the best thing to do and after Jackson typed the question we waited for a response. It came pretty quickly.

'Well, it had been awhile since I had talked to actual people so all those questions were kind of overwhelming. I freaked out and left because I was nervous. Even ghosts can lose their cool sometimes you know.’

“I can see that. We did kind of did bombard her last night,” Youngjae agreed, the others nodding their heads in agreement. “Should we apologize for that?” He asked, and Jackson started typing before we could finish talking about it.

'It’s okay. I mean I would be curious about the ghost living my house, so I understand. Just no more 20 questions, okay?’

“Well, there still is one thing I want to ask her though,” Jackson said. “She can’t leave until she does something right? Why won’t she let us help her then?” He asked all of us. I had to agree to be honest. I was confused when that happened as well. If anything, she should want our help to move on, but the fact that she refused it confused all of us. So, apologizing for asking one question, we sent it to her. My heart started to race in anticipation and my nerves skyrocketed as a text appeared on the screen.

'Fine, I guess I can answer this one question. Well, before ghosts move on, they have to finish the regrets they have left on earth. One of mine is already done as my killers have been put in jail but I still have another one. It’s really hard to talk about and I don’t think you guys would want to hear about it quite yet. It’s not something that can be easily done.’

We all stopped, reading the text over and over again. She has a regret and unless she does it, she can’t move on? That . Before we could even have a chance to type something else, we got another text from her.

'Well, that’s it for me tonight - typing is not an easy thing to do. I know you guys are probably more curious but if you wouldn’t mind letting it slide, that would be great. XD. Also, I am not one to pick in your belongings or to spy on you guys while you shower so no need to worry about that. I just hope that we can get along until I do this stupid regret of mine. But I should let the tall idiot get his phone back, so I will message you all again here soon. Don’t miss me too much ;)’

And with that, we stopped, more confused than before.

“Man, why can’t she tell us?!” Bambam whined, clearly frustrated.

“It can’t be that bad, can it?” Mark continued, starting to think about what it could be.

“It sounds like she will tell us eventually guys. So I think the best thing to do is to just leave it be for now.” Jaebum said, trying to make the situation easier. We all stood in silence, absorbing what she just told us. I then left, heading back up to my room to find Na Ra still sitting at the computer. I tried not to startle her as I walked closer to see what she was looking at.

She had pulled up Facebook and was looking at some of her old photos. Is that her family? I wondered as she was staring at a picture. I leaned closer trying to see better when she screamed.

“DAMN IT BOY. STOP SCARING ME!” She yelled, making me burst into laughter. She placed her head in her hands, groaning as I laughed. She threw me a glare, indicating that she was not happy with me.

“Is that your family?” I asked, pointing to the picture on the screen. Her cheeks flushed when I asked her the question - wait. She is blushing? She mumbled something I couldn’t make out before closing the window and getting up from the chair.

“Yes it is, why, want to make fun of me for looking at them?” She asked, folding her arms in front of her chest.

“What? No. I was just wondering.” I explained, confused as to why she thought I was making fun of her. “You look like them, you know.” I said, trying to help the situation. But when I looked up to see her face, her cheeks were flushed once more, making me the one embarrassed. Why is she getting so flustered?

“O-Oh. Well, thanks…I guess,” She whispered, playing with her hair as if to avoid this conversation. She then let go and grabbed my phone, holding it out for me to grab.

“See, it wasn’t so bad right?” I asked, trying to make the atmosphere between us less awkward. She nodded.

“Yeah, I guess. They weren’t mad were they? That I wasn’t going to tell you guys what my regret is?” She questioned, curious to our responses. I smiled at her, knowing fully well that they weren’t mad at all.

“Nope, they were just curious as to why we couldn’t help you but they will wait until you are ready to tell us.” I explained, making her exhale in relief. She smiled widely at me, creating dimples on the sides of her face.

“Thank heavens. The last thing I wanted was to be hated by you all. That would .” She giggled, making me the one to smile now. “Well, I am going to go for a bit, talk to ya later?” She asked, slowly lifting off the floor.

“Do I have a choice?” I sassed, knowing fully well that only she gets to decide when we talk next.

“Nope.” She then playfully winked at me before phasing through the roof, leaving me with a smile across my face. I looked down at my phone and glanced through the messages once more. I still couldn’t believe all of this was actually happening but I knew one thing for sure. I didn’t care what the regret was - I was going to help her, no matter what.
