I Love You

Description

This is a drabble of a story I had in the makes this summer, since school picked back up I have not touched it since then. I wanted to put something out there since I have only one story from 3 years ago haha.

Essentially, this is a song-fic, based off of Jin's cover of I Love You. What I imagined this story would be was something along the lines of Jin as a ghost who died in a car wreck with his girlfriend, and he follows the path of accepting his death and taking care of her.

Foreword

Warning, contains a car wreck with some mature details!

It was around midnight when Hansol and I started to head back to our apartment, which was about a half hour drive. We knew it was going to rain but nothing like what was pouring down on us now as we drove home. The country road we were taking was a small and had sharp turns every now and then, which would always scare Hansol, but I would hold her hand to let her know it will be okay. But this time she was asleep and I felt that I needed to have both hands on the wheel since the visibility was so bad. I look over at her to see her head rested against the window, she looked so calm. Smiling to myself I pay my attention back to the road since a sharp turn was approaching soon. I press my foot lightly on the breaks slowing down to a reasonable speed. The rain was probably at its worst at this time and I was starting to feel nervous. it up, I look out into the dark rain and I notice a pair of headlights quickly rounding around the turn. I noticed that they were not slowing down, and that put me in a state of panic. My fingers tightened around the wheel and I felt my arms lock up. It seems that it all happened in slow motion. Their headlights getting brighter and closing the distance between us. Their car started to drift out of their lane and into mine. Before I knew it, they were only a few feet in front of me. The next thing I feel is the impact throwing me forward, and then the sound wet tires skidding and the sound of crunching metal blasting into my ears. When I flew forward my forehead hit the wheel square on. During this whole time all I could think about was Hansol’s safety, I heard the wind get knocked out of her followed by a loud groan. The windshield broke while the truck rolled twice onto its side, sending shards of glass at us. Unfortunately a large shard found its way into my neck, along with small ones cutting my face. I heard Hansol let out a scream as the glass cut her face as well. When the truck stopped moving, we landed with us hanging from our seats. For me, everything started to fade out, and there was a loud ringing in my ears. I felt the pulsing blood flow out of my fresh cut and down my face. I couldn’t breathe, the interior was starting to fill with a thick smoke. My eyes were locked on Hansol, she was in a state of shock but when she came to, the first thing she did was look over at me and gasp. She looked around and saw that her side door had been crushed into a position into which she could kick it open. Unbuckling herself but falling from her upside down state, she looked at me with horror filled eyes. Her hands were shaking uncontrollably as she reached to unbuckle me. From that point the darkness had almost taken over my senses. I was starting to feel so cold, even though there were flames surrounding us. She somehow got the strength to pull me out and away from the wreck. The ringing had progressively taken over and I could no longer hear anything but it. Hansol was screaming for help as she knelt next to me. I was staring up into the rain, the drops filling my vision as it slowly faded away. I could only feel her shaking me harder and harder. Her hands cupping my face, and the weight of her head on my chest. I just couldn’t believe that this was happening, it just seemed so unreal. My muscles were starting to tense up so much that they felt like stone. I couldn’t feel anything anymore, my thoughts were becoming so cloudy. The darkness had finally taken over.
