White Envelope
Description
Inspired by the manga 'Orange'. One hectic morning, Park Chanyeol receives a letter from somebody claiming to be his future self. At first, he doesn't believe it. A letter from himself ten years in the future? Bull. This has to be some sort of joke that Jongdae came up with. But when the letter begins describing events that actually end up taking place, he becomes less sure that this is another one of Jongdae's dumb pranks. Especially after it correctly states that a new student named Byun Baekhyun will be transferring into his class later that day.
As Chanyeol reads on, he realizes that his future self wrote the letter to prevent Chanyeol from making the same mistakes he made. His future self wants to erase his regrets, all of which seem to be tied to a certain black-haired transfer student.
Foreword
Hello~! I'd like to start off by saying that this isn't my first ever fanfiction, but it is my first Chanbaek/K-pop related one. (Also my first on this site!) I've actually been planning on writing this for a while but I've been too lazy to start it until now (Oops). The idea for this fic obviously came to me while I was reading Orange, but it's not going to be a copy of the manga. It was simply inspired by it. The basic idea and plot (The letters and such) won't change much and some details (*kinda spoiler alert* Like the situation with Kakeru's mother) will stay the same, but rest of it's going to be different (Because where's the fun in writing a carbon copy of the original? Plus I'm not even sure I'm allowed to do that lmao).
Also, English isn't my first language but I know I'm good at speaking it. Even so, I apologize in advance for any grammar mistakes and my god awful writing.
WARNINGS: Mentions of depression and suicide. Minor character death. Self-harm.
I'm sorry that this story isn't tagged with a trigger warning but to do that, I have to make it M-Rated, which I don't want to do because this story won't be that intense. At least I don't think. If it does get to the point where I think that it wouldn't be suitable for a younger audience, I'll M-Rate it, but for now, I would like to keep it as it is.
Please don't plagiarize or reupload to other sites without my permission. If you want to translate it, go ahead, but please make sure to include a link to the original (this) and send me the link so I can put it here.
Now, with all of that out of the way, let's get to the story, shall we? Press that button, I know you want to!
