Ouran's Final Year

Description

PART 1

Kyoya's POV

I have been spending most of my holidays with Tamaki, showing him around Japan, and ensuring that I cater to his every whim. Oddly on the days I have off from the idiot, I sort of miss him in a way.

Just to think that on the first day we met he considered me his best friend, and on the second day he saw me as a god, I simply just suggested that for each holiday we would go to the one place he wanted to visit and do some activities.

Well that's Tamaki for you, I've gotten used to his somewhat crazy way of thinking.

"Hey Kyoya, I just had a brilliant idea! We should start a club together, I have it all planned out. We can start our activities in our first year of high school so we can finally put our good looks to use."

"Sleep first, then dream!" Kyoya scolded me.

"Hahahhahah, no Kyoya I'm serious! I already know who we should invite. We have to ask Honey Senpai and Mori Senpai in third year and those first year middle school twins. "

"Alright that seems fair, but did you ever stop to think, what would happen to this so called plan of yours, if they all did not want to become part of this club?"

"Ah, Kyoya No will refuse my offer because I will dazzle them with my charm, just like I did with you."

Kyoya's POV

Dazzle me with you charm I think not. From the very beginning I thought you were an idiot, even now I still think you're an even bigger idiot.

A Year Later

"Funny even after so much time has passed I still think he is an idiot. ...."

"Hey Kyo-Chan, what you doing standing by yourself? Honey Sempai yelled from across the room."

"Hmm... Oh it's nothing Honey Senpai just got a few things on my mind." Smiling back sheepishly hoping no-one would notice. Everyone seemed to leave him alone except one.

"There you go again; you got that worried look on your face. Kyoya what's the matter you been acting more wired than usual."

Tamaki slowly cups my face with his hands, his eyes start to water like his about to burst into tears. I swear, he thinks life is a drama or something. That puppy dog expression on his face is he waiting for me to give him some long sob story so that we can cry together.

"Is mommy dearest okay?" He whispered softly almost wanting to hug Kyoya.

"I'm fine you idiot, and why do you insist on calling me mommy, we not a married couple you know."

"Well Kyoya is just fine nothing unusual here. Lets continue with the game shall we Haruhi."

"Whatever you say Senpai."

Tamaki's POV

Still there something wrong Kyoya I can tell that much, but you won't tell me anything. Don't you trust me at all Kyoya?

School bell rings

"Hey! Hey! Hey Kyoya! Wait you went out so quickly I couldn't catch up."

"Hmmm... Oh Tamaki. Sorry I would have waited for you if I knew you were following me. Is there something you wanted to ask me?"

"Ya, I wanted to know if I could come over to your house this weekend." Tamaki said as he tried to catch his breath.

"Sure, I don't see the harm in that. Anything specific you would like to do this weekend."

"Oh, no just wanna hang out this weekend that's all". And besides this will give me an opportunity to find out what's really going on.

"Alright I'll let my sister know so that we can make the arrangements."

Later at The Otori Household

"So Tamaki is coming over, how sweet." Fuyumi said with a smile.

"There is nothing sweet about it! I'm telling you his up to something I...I just don't know what." Kyoya said as he paced up and down. "Fuyumi please stop rummaging through my clothes like that!"

"What...I'm not rummaging I'm just fixing your clothes for you Kyoya." Fuyumi said as she returned to pushing Kyoya's clothes in the drawer.

"Fuyumi, would you please stop just let the maids do it." Kyoya glared at his sister.

"If you kept your room clean maybe they won't need to do it for you." Fuyumi got up slowly giving up on fixing his clothes.

Fuyumi glanced at Kyoya, "I don't see what the big deal is with Tamaki coming over he used come over a lot when you two were in middle school."

"Well, it's not necessarily the same this time Fuyumi."

"Oh, Kyoya what do you mean by that, you make everything seem so serious."

Fuyumi knowing that Kyoya would not say another word got up off the couch and left his room.

Kyoya walked to the table about to start on his homework when he saw a pile of his shirts on the floor. "Fuyumi, why did you leave my clothes on the floor like that?"

Fuyumi popped around the corner like she had heard nothing. "My, what is it Kyoya?"

Kyoya pointed at his shirts that where on the floor. "Well, I'm not putting them back since it was you who removed them in the first place."

Fuyumi looked at her young brother and crossed her arms, "I tried to put them back, but your drawers are to full Kyoya once you pull something out you can't put it back in."

Now sitting at the table trying to ignore his sister Kyoya turned to look at her, "Well, then don't pull anything out." Fuyumi smiled and left the room, in the mean time Kyoya seemed lost in thought over something.

"Planning one or two activities would be a good idea just in case Tamaki changes his mind."

Meanwhile at Suou Household

"Master Tamaki dinner is ready!"

"For some reason I don't feel like eating tonight. Is it alright if I skip tonight's meal Shima?"

"Why certainly but Sir may I ask, is something the matter?"

"No, no nothing is wrong; just don't have an appetite for eating that's all."

"Hmmm, sir does this have to do with a girl? Could it be that Haruhi girl that you also mumble about?

"What! No, this has nothing to do with my dear Haruhi. I'm just worried about Kyo... ehm" Tamaki cleared his throat. "It's nothing Shima I will be going to my room now." Tamaki slowly walked off.

"Master Tamaki? " Shima seemed dazed at his behaviour.

"My, my, the Master has certainly gotten emotional the past few days." Susan stated as she folded the last of the clothes.

"I really hope he's okay; it's a bit heart breaking to see him act this way."

"Certainly is, I wonder who he was about to mention but his voice broke off before he could say their full name." Susan was thinking really hard her face was turning red.

"His voice never broke. Knowing him he did not want us to know who the person was so he stopped himself." Shima said looking towards the section leading to the main head quarters.

"Oh, so Madam Shima you know who was talking about then!" Maria's eyes were shining full of excitement.

"I do indeed; he was talking about Kyoya Otori his friend and class mate from school."

"Ah, the youngest of the Otori family. What could possibly be happening that would get Master so upset?"

"Susan! Maria gasped, you haven't heard. One of the Otori business groups went belly up."

Elizabeth, who was walking in from the back way of the stairs which led to the basement, came in and mumbled. "Oh, he made a risky investment and some person bought out the group."

"He did?" Susan appeared shocked.

"He did. Elizabeth seeing that all ears where on her continued the story, "rumour has it his father started gambling and lost more money."

"Oh how dreadful. Do reporters know about this?"

"As soon as the media get a hold of this story Mr Otori will be done for, which in short means that there will be no need to find a successor and his two older sons will be in ruins." Elizabeth said with a sight frown.

"What will happen to Kyoya Otori young Master Tamaki's friend? Susan sounded concerned.

"Simple, nothing, he was never in line to be the successor of the company due to him being the third son, so he will have to direct his own path or try surpassing his older brothers which will not be an easy task." Maria said as she sat down to rest.

"That amount of pressure must be so hard for a young man to face and at such a tender age." Susan said looking at Maria.

"Aye, it sure is, and it seems as though this stress is getting to him hence the reason Master Tamaki is so worried about him." Maria responded back.

"True and trying to keep up with his wild ideas it must be tough for young Kyoya." Susan said with a chuckle.

"Master Tamaki does have an overactive imagination, for a young man his age." Elizabeth said as she walked off.

Tamaki's POV

What...could this be true? Kyoya....are you just putting up with me because you have too? Am I really making things difficult for you? You could be using your financial skills to help your father and your brothers right now, but by me always wanting you by my side I'm kind of stopping you from doing that... aren't I?

Next day

"Tamaki are you alright? You've been starring in to space, you're not dreaming about Haruhi again are you?"

"What no! I'm not thinking about Haruhi." Tamaki looked away from Kyoya as he gave is answer.

"Oh alright Tamaki whatever you say."

Quickly realising Kyoya was leaving he ran up to him and tapped his shoulder.

"Hey Kyoya, I was thinking it would be a good idea if we spent this holiday in Fiji. What do you think?"

"That sounds like a good idea; I will ask Fuyumi if she would not mind if the two of us tagged along on the week she is going down there. I don't think she would mind, considering the fact that she is highly fond of you Tamaki."

"Hey Kyoya you know you don't have to hide anything from me right."

Seeing the seriousness in his face Kyoya smiled, "Yes, I know that Tamaki, but there some things that you don't need to worry about alright." Kyoya said giving him a quick smile.

"Are you two just going to continue standing there and chat away", Lady Sherri asked lightly.

"Oh sorry pardon us; we were just discussing something private. So how can I be of service My Lady?" Kyoya asked gently as he took Lady Sherri by the hand.

Tamaki's POV

Well he seems to fine with my ideas so far, he is smiling so everything should be okay right? ....But why do I get the feeling that he won't tell me anything. Kyoya you would tell me when I have gone overboard right? You would tell me when you have had enough right?

Tamaki slowly walked out the door forgetting that the Host Club was in the middle of an event.

"Well, that was unexpected, is the boss okay." Hikaru and Kaoru look at Kyoya with a puzzled expression.

"Could you lovely ladies excuse me, I just have to go and make sure that our Prince Tamaki is alright."

Kyoya walked out the door following Tamaki. Upon looking out the window he saw Tamaki standing in the court yard. He quickly headed down to meet him.

"You know, you act like such a child sometimes. I mean I have no problem when you have one of your bizarre fantasies about Haruhi, however when you decide to walk out on customers like that during an event I have no choice but to address you directly. But, to avoid a scene I'm talking to you privately."

"Hey Kyoya can I ask you something, but you can't laugh alright."

"What is it Tamaki?" Kyoya could sense that this conversation was taking a turn.

"You and I are friends right?" Tamaki had his back facing Kyoya.

"What, why ask such a question when you already know the answer Tamaki."

"JUST ANSWER THE QUESTION! ..." Tamaki quickly fell silent.

"Well, of course we're friends Tamaki, what is this is all about."

"I heard... about how one of your Father's business groups has gone down, and how he gambled himself into some big financial trouble, also that your brothers stand to lose everything if this all gets to the media."

"Ah, so you heard. It's all true Father is quiet upset by the whole thing." "He... Kyoya was cut off as he heard Tamaki talking under his breath.

"Kyoya you could be helping your Father right now, but I take away all your free time...

Meanwhile the other host club members watched from the window, and the girls slowly gathered around to see what was happening.

Kyoya seemed to get more annoyed with Tamaki as he mumbled on... my crazy ideas have become too much so I think the best thing is to disband the club for a while till your family's situation settles down."

"SHUT UP Tamaki!" Kyoya yelled. "You're such an Idiot! What made you think that you where taking up my time, I mean sure some of your ideas are not the most cost effective. ....But...did you ever stop to think that I ENJOY SPEDNIG MY TIME IN THE HOST CLUB AND I WOULD NOT CHANGE IT FOR ANYTHING!" Kyoya diverted his gaze from Tamaki.

"Kyoya..." Tamaki ran and wrapped his arms tightly around him. "Oh I knew you cared!"

"Ahh, you idiot of course I do. Now could you let go Tamaki."

The two friends stood there for a moment as they embraced each other, this was surely the beginning of something new.

PART TWO

Spring was around the corner and as the Host Club was making preparations for their last event for the semester it seemed that all was going well. Kyoya was back to his old self or so it seemed.

"Hey Kyoya. Why did you cancel our trip to Fiji at the last minute?"

"I'm sorry Tamaki; it seemed as though my father had different plans in mind and decided that he wanted to have a father and sons outing." Kyoya said with little expression on his face.

"Wow that sounds like it must have been fun, but judging from your expression Kyoya I'd say you didn't enjoy that much."

Tamaki looked at Kyoya for a moment. Knowing he was concerned, he walked casually beside him whispering quickly into his ear. "Nothing happened, so don't worry."

Kyoya...Tamaki was cut off as Renge randomly appeared as usual.

"So, it seems that there is some brotherly love complex happening between Tamaki and Kyoya," she said as she took a sip of what seemed to be a cup of commoner's coffee. "Kyoya seems to be hiding a terrible and dark secret from his beloved Tamaki as well as from the other Host Club members, what will happen to our beloved Kyoya will he spill the beans or will it be too late!"

Renge let out an unusual laugh that made everyone feel uneasy, and began to descend down to her hiding place until Kyoya cleared his throat and stepped forward.

"Honestly Renge I really would appreciate it if you would keep such malicious rumours to yourself, and besides I see no reason for you to be going on about the personal business of others."

"Pardon me but not to be rude Kyoya Senpai, but don't you gather personal information about the Host club members and our guests." Haruhi stated bluntly.

"Why yes, but I make it a point to only share the information with the members of the club if its necessary and I don't do it so publicly." Kyoya said as he fixed his classes.

Haruhi's POV

'Oh and by necessary he means last minute.'

"Besides whatever private issues are happening within my family should be of no interest to the members of the Host Club, now if you would excuse me for a moment." Kyoya bowed as he causally walked to the other side of the room to make a call or so it appeared.

"So you're still hanging around that Host Club are you?" His father stated rather harshly.

"Yes Sir is it a problem?" Kyoya asked calmly.

"I don't think I agree fully with the nonsense that this Tamaki Suou is feeding you. You could be here helping your brothers and I keep the company afloat however you decide to play house and fool around with silly minded young ladies."

"Father I have already told you that I do not wish to work in the company business and if you need help I am willing to assist you in any area, however you have made it clear that you do not need my help."

"Kyoya, you will be working for your brothers one day, and I need to understand what is at risk here. May I remind you that your so called relationship with this Tamaki Suou was only to keep a close tie with the Suou Group! "

"I know that Sir, but I..." Kyoya fell silent as he listened to his father.

"Kyoya Otari you are to return home at once, we will continue this discussion once you are here understood!"

"Yes Sir I understand." Kyoya hung up the phone, and stood in silence for a moment.

Tamaki watching from afar, walked up to him quietly and he asked. "Is everything alright Kyoya?"

"How much did you hear?" Kyoya asked still facing the window.

"Well, everything, I'm truly sorry that your Father sees me so negatively."

"It's not your fault Tamaki, he is just a bit upset about having lost such a big investment and now he is just taking out on me. It's not like I was not expecting this to happen." Kyoya turned around to face Tamaki, "Don't worry nothing will make me leave the Host Club, besides it is our final year we might as well have some fun right."

Kyoya smiled as he placed his hand on Tamaki's shoulder.

The school bell rings

Tamaki looked at the clock, "We better get to class next period is about to start."

Everyone begins to head to their next class.

Kyoya seemed to be walking slowly as he gazed longingly outside the windows as he passed by each frame. He seemed to observing something in the distance.

Haruhi noticed Kyoya and stopped to see what he was so captivated by.

"Hey Kyoya Senpai, what are you looking at?"

"Oh, nothing Haruhi." Kyoya said as he walked away.

Haruhi's POV

Huh I wonder what he was thinking about just now.

"Hey Haruhi what are you doing we're going to be late for class!" Hikaru and Kaoru shouted as the waved in Haruhi's direction."

"Oh...coming hold on you guys!"

The teacher began her lesson on English literature when a young lady walked into the class. The teacher stopped and smiled, "Class I would like to introduce you to a new class mate, who is transferring from Okinawa Girls Prep."

"Hello everyone I am Shiuri Hanoi, I'm happy to be here."

Kyoya's clutch pencil broke as he froze at the mention of her name.

Kyoya's POV

Shiuri, Shiuri, Shiuri Hanoi... from Ouran Primary class 2B. Could this really be her, why would she come here?

Kyoya slowly rose from his seat, the class thought he was going to welcome Miss Hanoi to their class seeing as he was the class president after all. However he seemed a loss for words which was a first.

"You're Shiuri Hanoi from Ouran primary class 2B correct?" he mumbled as he fixed his classes.

Miss Hanoi looking surprised and nodded her head, then an image flashed in her mind and she remembered. "Kyoya... Kyoya Otari, it's so good to see you I'm so happy we're in the same class."

Tamaki's eyes where shining with excitement over the fact that he got to finally meet one of Kyoya's childhood friends. He quickly came forward and welcomed Miss Hanoi to take the empty seat in the second back row.

"So, you're a childhood friend of Kyoya's you have got to tell me what he was like as a child," Tamaki said with excitement.

Shiuri giggled, "Hmmm, well he had a cute little face and he was a gentleman, he always treated me so well, and he made me feel like a little princess. Ah, there was the time he told me that when we got older that he would marry me, so he made me promise that I would wait for him." Shiuri smiled as she pictured the scene from years back.

"Kyoya, you really liked...." Tamaki was cut off.

"Honestly Shiuri I would rather you don't encourage his imagination with those stories. "

"My, my Kyoya you haven't changed at all still shy when it comes to telling stories about yourself, then again that's made you so cute." Shiuri said with a smile.

"Hey Kyoya we should invite Shiuri to come to the host club, I'm sure she would enjoy it." Tamaki had that look in his eyes.

"I'm sorry did you say a Host Club? You made Kyoya, Kyoya Otari join a Host Club." Yuki seemed shocked but happy at the news. Tamaki quickly sat down and explained.

"Well, you see Kyoya was the one who actually helped me start it during our first year in high school, he thought it was a crazy idea at first, however I'm glad he decided to start it with me. He's the vice president and I'm certain that the other Host Club members would be thrilled to meet you.""So what do you say Miss Shiuri Hanoi will you accept our invitation." Tamaki asked as he extended his hand to her.

Smiling, she extended her hand to Tamaki's and replied, "I would love to, only if Kyoya agrees." She smiled and tilted her head in his direction.

"Why it's fine by me." He answered back.

Tamaki's POV

My goodness Kyoya! You have feelings for Shiuri don't you?

Just then Tamaki, Haruhi, Mori and Honey entered the room, Kyoya and Shiuri followed close behind, that was when Hikaru and Kauro saw her. They both rushed to Tamaki to find out the news.

"Hey Boss who is the beautiful young lady, is she a new guest? Hikaru asked.

"Something like that Hikaru, she is actually a childhood friend of Kyoya's so treat her nicely alright." Tamaki said as he saw them walking in together.

"And this is Music Room 3, where we hold the Host Club and some daily activities." Kyoya explained to Shiuri as he gave her room to walk around.

Shiuri turned to Kyoya, "It's a really big venue Kyoya, so what activities do you hold?"

Kyoya looking in his little black book placed his pen in the centre and closed it. "Well, it usually depends on Tamaki the clubs king all club activities are approved by him."

All the other members watched as Kyoya spent time with his long lost childhood friend, he introduced her to some his clients, who were so excited to hear stories of what Kyoya was like as a baby and pulled her down to sit with them.

In a matter of minutes questions came from all sides.

"So what was he like as a child?"

"Was he naughty as a child?"

"Was he chubby and cute?" a voice asked from behind.

"Oh, I'm sure he was adorable."

Shiuri directing the girls to calm down, and laughed at the question, "No, Kyoya was not chubby, and even though he may look it, he was not a naughty child, he was quite the opposite."

"Where you primary school sweethearts?" the girl on Shiuri's right asked with excitement.

"Um, well something like that, I remember he told me that he was going to marry me once we got older and that he would ask me to marry him right under the cherry blossom tree in his families' back yard." Shiuri recalled the memory smiling.

"Oh, how romantic!" the girls screamed.

"So you are like his long lost love that has come back to him. It's like a high school drama!"

All the girls where gone at this point, they began picturing overly romantic scenes in their heads. This was Shiuri's opportunity to escape before they asked more questions.

"Phew, I thought I was never going to leave, Shiuri said as she took a few breathes.

Kyoya was standing beside's her writing in his book, "Well, you seemed to enjoy yourself."

Shiuri glared at Kyoya, "I would not say that but wait...Where did you disappear to you just let me get hijacked by a group of girls, what a gentleman you are. "

Kyoya closed his book, "You where not hijacked and besides it would be of no interest to me to sit among a group of girls talking about how I was as a child, it simply doesn't appeal to me."

"I had a feeling you would be like this once you grew older, however I do miss the baby face Kyoya who would give me cute painted paper flowers, and how they would be all sort of colours but you never cared." Shiuri said as faced Kyoya for a minute.

Seeing the clock behind him she smiled, "Oh how rude of me I never got your names."

Coming up to her they each introduced themselves showing off their unique traits.

We're the Hitachiin brothers I'm Hikaru and I'm Kaoru, it's a pleasure meeting you, nice to know that Kyoya Senpai has a lady friend they said with a smirk.

"Hi, there Shiuri would you like some cake? I'm Mitsukuni but everybody calls me Honey. Hey where Takashi? Ah there he is." Pulling Mori by the hand, "This here is Takashi but everyone calls him Mori."

"Hi."

Shiuri looked at Kyoya and Tamaki; "He doesn't say much does he."

"Oh Mori Senpai is a man of few words," Tamaki moved gracefully across the floor." And last but not least we have... "Tamaki seemed to be blabbing on about something that was of no great importance.

To Shiuri's surprise a young man came carrying a tray, "Would you like some tea Miss?" Shiuri smiled, "No thank you but thank you for the offer. Looking and seeing that Tamaki was nowhere near finished she tilted her head, "So, how long will he take?"

Haruhi turned "He'll be a while, and I'm Haruhi Fujloka by the way. I must say it's nice to finally meet a friend of Kyoya Senpai."

"Well, I must say it was lovely meeting all of you. Thank you again for inviting me to the Host Club. Shirui gave a curtsy as she thanked them and walked out the door.

Haruhi who was collecting the last of the tea cups, walked up to Kyoya carrying a full tray. "You still like her don't you Kyoya Senpai."

The other members froze. What was he going to say?

Fixing his glasses and turning away he muttered, "Interesting notion Haruhi, what would make you say that exactly."

"Well, first you don't look at any of your clients the way you looked at her, and it seemed to me like you where pained and glad to see her. And besides you smiled a lot more today." Haruhi walked a few steps away from Kyoya and stopped. "You still have feelings for her, and I bet your just realising that you always had them you just where not aware of it till now." "Besides it seems like she still has feelings for you, so if you tell her it will be of some benefit to you." Haruhi giggled as she stepped out.

Honey and Mori were sitting watching as this all took place. "So Kyo-Chan is beginning to see that he still has feelings for Shiuri, but then Tama-Chan is still in the dark about his feelings for Haru-Chan."

Mori looked across to Honey, "It seems so."

"So what will happen between Hika-Chan and Kao-Chan they both like Haru-Chan too, but it seems like they are both not ready to admit it." Honey ended as he ate his piece of cake.

Mori taking a sip of his tea looked out the window, "It could because they don't want to ruin their friendship."

Honey Senpai shock his head in agreement, "But we're going to stick together right Takashi."

Seeing that Honey was worried Mori gave a slight smile, "Yeah sure Mitsukuni."

That evening at the Otari Household

Arriving home Kyoya, through himself onto his bed. Removing his glasses he covered his eyes with the back of his hand. Images like a movie projector began to play memories of Shiuri. The last time Kyoya felt like this was when he was about to start middle school. He remembers how he and his sister escorted Shiuri to the train station. He watched Shiuri board the train for the thousandth time, and as the train gained speed and distance, the image went black and faded away. Kyoya slowly opened his eyes to find that his cheers where wet, he was crying.

Kyoya got up and went to the bathroom; he splashed his face with a hand full of cold water. Letting out a light sigh, he stared at his reflection, as if to get an answer to the emotions swirling inside him. As he stepped out he found his sister Fuyumi standing in the door way.

"Kyoya dinner is ready." She could tell that something had upset Kyoya but she just gave a gentle smile, "You alright Kyoya?"

"I'm fine Fuyumi; I just had something on my mind" Kyoya said as he walked out the door.

Fuyumi waited for Kyoya to leave the room, she looked around and smiled. The last time he stayed in his room like this was when Shiuri had left to go to middle school in Okinawa. Fuyumi walked out his room and joined her father and brothers for another silent dinner.

Kyoya could not sleep as he tossed and turned, more memories of Shiuri seemed to emerge and he could feel his heart beating faster and harder at every flashing memory. He remembers how her smile made him feel, when she laughed how he would laugh with her. Then the painful memory, the day Shiuri left for Okinawa, he remembered how he tried stopping himself from crying. A flash of energy came over him, he remembers running after the train as it sped away. He never wanted to lose his best friend, he called after her but he knew she could not hear him.

Then there was a knock on his bedroom door, Kyoya sat up putting on his glasses and went to the rail edge of the stairs. It was Fuyumi with a tray of tea. "Thought a cup might help you relax Kyoya." Knowing that even if he told Fuyumi to go away she would still stay. Walking down the stairs he said, "You didn't have to do this Fuyumi, I'm perfectly fine."

Fuyumi tilted her head, "I'm not Father you know Kyoya, so you can tell me what's really going on." Letting out a sigh he sat next to her and took the cup of tea from the tray.

Kyoya's POV

What was Fuyumi going to do once I told her that Shiuri was back in town? One, she would properly hug me which frankly I'm not in the mood for, or two she could start bugging me about my feelings for Shiuri, which honestly at this point I'm not so sure of myself. I know that when she left I missed her terribly and I wished every day that she would come back, however, she never did. Could Haruhi be right in saying that my feelings for Shiuri have always been there, I just never noticed?

Fuyumi was looking at him worry written all a round her face. "What's going on Kyoya?"

"Fuyumi I have something to tell you, but you have to promise that you will not overreact once I tell you alright." Kyoya seemed serious but he was looking into his cup as he spoke.

Fuyumi froze Kyoya seemed serious, hopefully its nothing to do with Tamaki or with school.

" Do you remember Shiuri Hanoi from my primary school class?" Kyoya was still looking away.

Fuyumi smiled, Kyoya still missed her after so long how sweet she thought. "Yes I remember her, but why are you asking me Kyoya?"

"Well, it seems as though Shiuri has returned to Japan and she is attending Ouran Academy, to make things even more difficult she's in the same class as I am." "I'm not sure how to react to this but one thing is clear I can't stop thinking about her."

Fuyumi smiled and turned to face Kyoya, "Kyoya, I know that you usually don't take advice from me but listen when I tell you, that right now you need to do what you feel is right. Follow your heart and this may open up emotions you never thought you had. "Take some time to think about it but don't rush your decision, I'm sure Shiuri feels the same way you do right now."

Fuyumi placed the cups on the tray. She gave Kyoya a little nod before she picked up the tray and walked out the door.

Kyoya walked up the stairs to his bed, before sleeping he made sure that all the preparations for tomorrow's event where in order. The Ouran Host Club was celebrating spring and they were holding a festival, it was the last event of the term before spring break so the Host Club wanted to give the ladies a special sweet goodbye.

PART 3

The Ouran Spring Festival

The day of the Ouran Spring Festival had arrived the school was alive with handsome young men escorting their dates to the main hall and young ladies a buzz about the day; also they anxious to see what the hosts would be wearing on this special occasion.

The three piece orchestra began to play a smooth and romantic tune. Just then by the main entrance of the hall jasmine's and cherry blossoms began to radiantly fall along the stairs. On lookers, gasped at the beautiful colour display that was before them.

"Good day everyone, I hope that you are enjoying yourselves thus far, it is my pleasure to introduce you to the Ouran Host Clubs Spring Festival, couples are welcome and to those lovely young ladies without a partner on this fine occasion the Ouran Host Club is here for your pleasure as always. So please feel free to ask anyone of us to accompany you." Kyoya announced as the other members slowly made their appearances.

The room filled with soft whispers of 'Oh, Kyoya looks so handsome.' 'Ah no way, Tamaki looks so manly in his suit.' 'Hikaru and Kaoru are so handsome I can't choose between them.' 'Ahh, Honey's never looked cuter!' 'Yeah and I can't stop looking at Mori.' But you know, I think Haruhi is the most beautiful boy I ever seen!'

As the girls continued to whisper the orchestra began to play the Tip Toe Waltz. This sweet cheerful tune filled the quarters of the school, as couples walked out the hall into the garden they were greeted by a host of colourful hues and an elegant spring design. Tables where set all across the garden grounds and couples picked tables according to colour and theme.

Part 4

Host clubs made their rounds dancing from guest to guest seeing to it that each where satisfied to their heart's content.

Tamaki who sat with three lovely ladies seemed to be distracted by something and his guests could tell.

"Tamaki, are you alright? You seem worried about something."

"Yes I agree, what's the matter Tamaki? " the second girl asked.

"Please tell us Tamaki." All three of the girls begged at once.

Tamaki slowly lifting his and focusing his attention on them, replayed is a soothing tone.

"Please do forgive me, my princesses, I am just a bit worried about one the host clubs members, and like the family that we are I want to make sure that we are doing well."

"Oh, Tamaki I love how you care so much about the other members." One girl responded.

"Oh yes, it's just so beautiful!" The other two replied with a squeal.

"Now what is it that you would like me to do for you, my princesses?" Tamaki asked as he tilted his head slightly to the left giving a gentle smile, that made the girls squeal in excitement.

Meanwhile on the east side of Ouran Acadamy three girls seem to be rushing out a class, which seemed to be a home -room meeting.

"Thank you for coming girls, the Home Community needs more dedicated students like you." Miss Sahara said with a smile.

The three friends smiled and waved as they watched Shiuri  turn and disappear round the corner.

"Are Home Room Meetings always that long?" Yuki (was the nickname given to Shiuri) asked with a sigh.

"Sadly Yuki Chan they are, it's just how it is" Mika replied with an annoyed expression.

"Agh...remind me why we signed up for this lame thing again," Yuruwichi asked as she fell to the floor.

"CV credits!!" Yuki and Mika yelled at the same time.

"Well, I'm just glad that is over now I can...Yuki was cut off.

Ahhhhhh!! MIKA WHY DID YOU NOT REMIND ME! Yuruwichi yelled as she took a quick look at the time on her phone.

"Eh...what did I do Yuruwichi?" Mika seemed confused, looking at Yuki who also had no idea what was happening.

"You forget? The Oruan Spring Festival is today remember the Host Club is hosting the event."

"Oh! I totally forgot." Mika said as she turned to look at Yuki who all of a sudden was no longer there.

"There she is, trying to run away!" Yuruwichi yelled and pointed to the left.

"Where do think you're going Yuki-Chan?" Mika and Yuruwichi asked.

"Oh, I guess going to the festival with the two of you?"

Wise answer Yuki last thing I need is a hour long lecture by these two on the reasons I would need to go...besides a part of me hopes to see Kyoya there.

"But before we go I have a question. What exactly am I going to wear?"

Glaring back at each other Yuruwichi and Mika gave Yuki a Sharpe look.
"No worries."
"We have something planned."

Scary they had this planned? Meaning I was going to this festival whether I said yes or not.

Walking to the ladies room Mika opened her private locker and pulled out this gorgeous white Hiroyuki designer dress. It had rose shapped straps with a small white cream lance pattern on the front. It was long looked like it brushed the floor.

"I think you can wear this Yuki Chan, you and I are about the same size." Mika said as she held this beautiful dress in front of her.

Part 5

"I think you can wear this Yuki Chan, you and I are about the same size," Mika said as she held this beautiful dress in front of her.

Yuki staring at this long gorgeous Hiroyuki dress pondered in her head.

YUKI'S POV

I could never wear that, could I? I mean it's a Hiroyuki design only the most elegant of girls can wear those. I mean sure my family is wealthy but I would be considered new money type. You know the third class in the social cycle of the wealthy. We new money types usually get our wealth from off -shore trading or most popular for filling in the who knows who gap in the wealthy society.

A classic example would be Lady Eclair Toner who used to be a former close friend, (however that's of little importance) The Toner Group has been buying up small, medium, and large companies in and out of Japan. They usually focus on groups that are facing some type of financial difficulty. My Father runs the Amal Gin Industry Group.

"Yuki Chan? Are you okay you spaced out there, " Yuruwichi looked worried.

"Huh....what....I'm ....I'm fine just wondering if I really have the body to pull that dress off," Yuki responded with a sheepish smile.

"So you'll wear it?" Mika seemed ready to pounce on Yuki any second.

"Yeah, sure it's not like I have anything else to wear."

"So this means it's time to get Yuki into hair and makeup, we have to make sure that we stop Kyoya dead in his tracks when he lays eyes on you," Yuruwichi said with an air of confidence and ease.

"What are....you talking about?!" Yuki tried hard to cover her embarrassment, but she looked so cute as her cheeks slowly went a plush pink.

Yuruwichi and Mika sat right in front of her giving that look that only true friends give when they know your lying.

"Oh, come on Yuki Chan you like Kyoya a lot don't you it's so obvious, the way you watch him when-you think no-one is looking. "
Mika said as she twirled around in circles.

"Right, always making sure his okay, anxious to see him, never wanting to disappoint him, Yuki you really like him, so today Mika and I are going to help tell him."

Yuruwichi and Mika gave each other a quick hi-five as a creepy grin ran across their faces.

Help me tell Kyoya I.. lo....v
..
"Oh no! No, no no! I don't need the expertise of you so called love experts. I am perfectly fine with the way things are moving with me a Kyoya, so out ok!."

But seriously who was I trying to fool. Happy with the way things are if course I'm not, but what can Ido Kyoya so hard to read he always has been. I mean I want to know what he's thinking but that seems so far out of reach.

YUKI'S POV

I want to be that person that Kyoya can trust like Tamaki. I know he probably would not tell Tamaki everything but he knows Kyoya far better than I do at this point. So what if I'm a childhood friend he probably does not remember much about me.

Part 6

KYOYA'S POV

Why in the world can't I shake that ridiculous dream. The dream come and goes but why is it bothering me so much this time around? Could it be because Yuki is back in Japan.... I can't dwell on this right now the Ouran Spring Festival has started and I'm being extremely rude to my guests.

Smiling gently Kyoya welcomed two of of his regular guests to come and join him at a Elizabethen themed table set for three.

"Oh my Kyoya you look so handsome in your white suit, love how your tie goes with the whole colour theme of spring." Said the first girl who he had lead to the table.

Slowly following the next young lady who smiled and turned to Kyoya, "Kyoya which season is your favorite?"

Seeing the excitement in their eyes, he smiled while fixing his glasses.

"Well, if I where to select a season out of the four, I would personally say it would have to be Spring. I think watching the beauty of the Cherry Blossoms bloom is truly a majestic sight. "

Slowly placing his hand under his gin, he smiled as he ended.

"Oh Kyoya what a beautiful description, truly!!" The young lady on his left said with excitement.

"Kyoya I do hope you where picturing me with you while watching the Cherry Blossoms bloom." The girl on his right spoke over the other.

"Why I was certainly picturing the both of you, it would make for an ideal scene wouldn't you agree?"

"Oh Kyoya!" Both girls quelled in excitement.

Kyoya smiled, just then he spotted the Hitachin twins on the opposite side of the lawn.

"Kauro your tie is a little crooked, let me fix that for you." Hikaru said as he pulled Kauro close to him.

'Mmmmmm their doing it again, it's brotherly love!'

Two girls yelled from the side.

"Hey!! You have to watch this you may not get the chance to see something like this again," one girl yelled.

"Oh no, this is too much I can't take it!" The other girl yelled in excitement.

"Thank you Hikaru." Kauro responded with a slight blush and quiver in his voice.

"My Kauro, you always look so adorable when you blush like that. " Hikaru whispered.

"I...I do not,it's just you keep teasing me Hikaru." Kauro turned away from him.

"I'm sorry Kauro...please forgive me." Hikaru asked as held both of Kauro's hands.

"I...I forgive you Hikaru." Kauro replied with a smile.

Both smiling they turned to their guests.

"You two are so close. I have never seen brothers express so much love for each other."

"Well of course we're close, we are twins after all, besides my life would be pretty lonely if I didn't have Kauro. " Hikaru responded with a smile.

"Hikaru...I..." Kauro was lost for words and quickly whipped the tears that where filling his eyes.

"Awwww Kauro your crying."
The girls sang in unison.

"Ahh, Kauro what's wrong?! Are you okay?! Say something Kauro.
Quickly shaking his head and using the back of his hand to whip his eyes Kauro responded.

"No..I'm okay Hikaru promise. It's just what you said really meant a lot to me, but I'm okay really, all better see." Kauro gave Hikaru a big smile but tears where still in the corner of his eyes.

"You idiot, if you want to cry just do it." Hikaru said as his embraced Kauro.

"Eh....Hi..ka..ru...."
"Kauro.."

Seeing as though they where both up to their nonsense

Haruhi turned around to head to her table of guests when she noticed Kyoya smiling and talking with his guests.

He seemed to be his usual self but even in his smile something seemed off. Haruhi was not the only person who noticed but Tamaki seemed equally worried about Kyoya it was written all over his face.

Before Haruhi could return to her table an familiar voice was calling from across the lawn.

"Oh Haruhiii!! I'd like you to come here for a minute would you. "

"Hmmm, coming Senpai."

Arriving at Tamaki's table with a tray still in hand, "Hey Senpai, you called."

"Haruhi I would like to ask you something so I need your honest opinion okay."

"Sure"

What's with the formality all of a sudden? And what wwould he want to ask during an event?

"Haruhi does Kyoya seem different to you in anyway?"

"What? Well... now that you mentioned it, it does seem like something is bothering him, but knowing Kyoya Senpai he probably won't want to talk about it so we better just leave it alone. "

"Hmmm your probably right Haruhi, just hope his okay." Tamaki responded as he looked down at his hands.

That's odd, no quick snappy come back or long elaborate story of what he believes happened. Gee Tamaki Senpai must really be worried about Kyoya Senpai. I wonder what it could have happened.

Bowing and saying goodbye to Tamaki's guests Haruhi returned to her table.

MEANWHILE IN THE LADIES ROOM

"Okay now that we got the dress and hair done, the final stage is makeup." Mika said as she stood in front of Yuki armed with a tube of lipstick and a eye liner pencil.

"Make me proud Mika!" Yuruwhichi cheered from the side of the room.

"Wait...Yuruwhichi your not helping?" Yuki asked looking worried.

"No my dear Yuki, we both made a deal that we both pick the dress then split the labour 50/50 so I did your hair -which was not an easy task and Mika is going to do your makeup. No worries Yuki dear your in good hands."
Yuruwhichi explained as she carefully applied mascara.

"Ne Yuki Chan, are you ready?" Yuki asked in a super excited voice.

"Eh...yeah I guess. Make me look pretty okay." Yuki said as she closed her eyes a d bit her bottom lip.

"Leave it to me Yuki Chan."

Fastfoword

Thick layers of mascara her eyelashes. Eyebrow pencil is used to trace her eyebrows. Liquid whipps across underlining her eyes and making them stand out. You can see her blue green eyes sparkle.
Soft puffs of blush are dabbed onto her high check bones. A lip colour pencil is used to outline her lips, then a baby pink lipstick is applied, with a coat of clear lipgloss to finish.

Mika steps back proud of her creation.
"All done Yuki Chan, wanna see how you look?"

Yuruwhichi gets up from where she was sitting and joins Mika.

"Okay on the count of three, you ready? 1.....2........3!"

Yuki's chair turns around and she sees herself in the mirror.

"Woah....Mika...I look amazing! Is..is this really my face?"

"Yup you look gorgeous Yuki Chan, Kyoya will obviously notice you for sure."
Mika said as she clapped her hands.

"You look amazing Yuki, see I told you, you were in good hands." Yuruwhichi said as she gave Yuki a smile through her reflection in the mirror.

"Now I just gotta do some touch ups myself then we're ready to go. "
Mika said as she jumped into the mirror applying mascara.

Yuki POV

Wow, I really look amazing. Hmmm Mika and Yuruwhichi may have their odd points but there the best friends a girl could ask for. I thought moving here to Ouran Academy would be tough because when coming here I knew no one. How things turn out I ended up finding Mika and Yuruwhichi in my English class and I was so hapay.

They have been my friends since middle school and I guess I complied about Kyoya a lot back then cause I really missed him. So....in a way I'm glad their helping me do this.

Alright Yuki, there's no turning back now you have to tell him now otherwise you have no right to hold on to him.

"Hey, Yuki you ready?" Mika and Yuruwhichi asked in unison.

"Hmm yeah let's go!"

Part 7

The main hall is filled with music and the atmosphere is full of laughter sweet smiles and humming whispers as girls talk softly or rather loudly about which hosts they like.

*Mind you this is whether they are with their dates or not.*

Yuki, Yuruwhichi and Mika slowly walk in. Almost as if it was set up to happen, the orchestra begins to play 'Tsumetai Yoru'. Appearing in a long flowing dress Yuki appeared in the door way.

*Tsumetai Yoru slowly continues to play in the background.*

Nervous knowing that all eyes are on her now, she slowly makes her way down the stairs. Carrying herself with an element of grace and elegance.

Loud whispers and gasps fill the room, as many wonder who she is and where it is she got her breath taking gown.

'That's a Hiroyuki designer dress is it not?'

'I wonder where she got it from?'
'Does is matter honestly, it only matters how amazing she looks in it.'

'True, her body frame works beautifully with the fabric.'

Yuruwhichi and Mika follow proudly behind smiling cause they did a good job,  *note that they themselves looked good.*

Mika dressed in a pale pink strapless gown designed by Kubota, one of the top designers in Japan and Europe.
Yuruwhichi was dressed in a slick black gown with an elegant sweetheart neckline. Designed by Homoto Moshe, known as the fashion guru of Japan and a good friend of Kubota.

"My my, it would seem as though we have some late arrivals." Tamaki noted as he slowly got up from his chair. 'Hikaru! Kaoru! Go and welcome the guests to the festival, but behave you two." Tamaki warns the twins.

"You got it, boss!" The twins respond as they go ahead to welcome the guests that have arrived.

"Welcome to the Ouran Spring Festival, please do come jo..in..." looking up as they extend their hands shocked to see Yuki standing in front of them.

"Yu...ki!" They both scream, bringing the whole room to a halt as people turn to see what the commotion is all about.

"What are you doing here?!" Hikaru asked in a shocked tone.

"Does, Kyoya Sempai know you're here?" Kaoru asked in a more friendly tone, giving Hikaru a harsh glare.

"What is it Kaoru?" Hikaru noticed his expression.

"You don't have to be so rude Hikaru! She is Kyouya Senpai's childhood friend so of course she is welcome to be here, besides she attends Ouran Academy."

"Gee, Kaoru I wasn't trying to be rude I was just asking...' Hikaru got cut off by Yuki.

"No, it's ok Hikaru, I know you didn't mean anything by it. As for Kyouya knowing I'm here, I never told him exactly that I would be coming, but I suspect he knew."

"Well, random introductions aside what do you boys think about the lovely dress Yuki has on!" Mika asked with excitement as she placed both hands on Yuki's shoulders.

'She looks great the dress looks amazing on her,' Hikaru and Kaoru said in unison.

"Sorry but I never caught your names." A small sweet voice called from the distance, it was Honey Senpai.

"Oh, Honey Senpai let me introduce you; this is Mika Kumauni; Third year; Class A, and this is Yuruwichi Yuri; Third year; Class A; they're in the same year and class as Yuki." Haruhi came from behind a group of girls carrying a tray of refreshments.

"Hi, I'm Haruhi Fugiuoka, it's a pleasure to meet you, hope I got your names correct." Haruhi smiled offering refreshments.

"Spot on actually, your name sounds familiar," Yuruwichi said as she took a glass from the tray, giving a nod to say thank you.

"Yu, remember that is Haruhi Fugiuoka the second year who joined the Advanced English Class with us!" Mika said with a smile, as she took one glass for herself and the other she handed to Yuki.

"Oh, that's right well it's nice to meet you again Fugiuoka." Yuruwichi could not stop glaring at Haruhi.

"Is something the matter you keep starring? is my outfit a mess or something?" Haruhi quickly checks herself to make sure.

"No, no it's not that...hey, Mika, Yuki doesn't Fugiuoka's appearance seem different from the rest of the guys." Yuruwichi whispered to them.

"Actually now that you mention it, he does look a girl!" Mika responded.

"Hmm, who looks like a girl?" Yuki asked as she turned around.

"Ssshhh! don't be so loud! I was just saying doesn't Fugiuoka look a bit like girl!" Mika whispered.

"Ah, yeah he does now that you mention it!" Yuki answered as she stared at Haruhi.

Meanwhile

The twins ran up to where Honey Senpai and Haruhi are standing.

"So, Haruhi you enjoying the festival?" Hikaru and Karou asked in unison.

"Ah yeah... but seriously you guys, does every event have to be a big festival, isn't this a bit on the expensive side." Haruhi answered as she hangs her head looking at all the decorations.

"Well, you know how Tama-Chan is." Honey Senpai responded with a smile.

"Poor Kyouya Senpai's probably having a headache trying to add up how much this would cost>" Karou said with a nervous grin.

'Seriously I know these guys are rich but do they think money grows on trees or something.'

Noticing that the girls were looking in her direction Haruhi approached them.

"Is everything okay ladies?"

"Oh, everything is fine Haruhi" Yuki motioned with her hands, "Just some silly girl talk among friends."

"Oh, well in that case, let me take you to see Kyouya Senpai, I think he would be happy to know you're here." Haruhi directs Yuki, Mika and Yuruwichi to follow her.

"Mhm...oh no, it's fi...ne..." Yuki got cut off as Mika and Yuruwichi grab her by the arms.

"Come on, Kyoya is this way," Mika said with an excited expression, Yuruwichi smiled in agreement.

"No...really! Haruhi... Yuruwichi...Mika...its okay I don't want to bother...Yuki was cut off.

"I don't think it would be a bother at all, he seemed really happy to see you the other day." Haruhi interrupted. "Besides you two probably have a lot to catch up on, so this would be a good time to sit and talk to each other. Don't you think?" Haruhi added with a gentle smile.

"Ah...yeah, that's true it has been a long time since we last saw each other, he was happy to see me." Yuki's checks turned to light blush of pink.

"Hmm, what are thinking about Yu..ki." Mika teased as she walked beside her.

"Ah...nothing! It's nothing...was not thinking about Kyouya if that's what you're thinking." Yuki responded with a nervous laugh.

"Oh, is that so, besides I don't recall Mika asking if you where thinking about anyone specific she just asked what you were thinking about." Yuruwhichi said with a grin.

"Oh! Is that so..." Yuki gave a nervous smile and walked faster.

MEANWHILE IN THE GARDEN

By the Elizabethan themed table that over looked the Cherry Blossoms Kyouya was sitting with two of his guests.

Just then Haruhi appeared with Yuki, Mika, Honey Senpai, Mori Senpai and Yuruwichi following behind.

"Now, where is Kyouya Senpai...?"

"Over there by the Elizabethan table setting. Kyo-Chan! Yuki-Chan is here to see you!" Honey Senpai yelled as he came skipping across the lawn to Kyouya's table.'

Metskuni.... Mori Senpai tried to stop him from running but was too late.

"Oh, how rude of me, Hello ladies I like cake would you like to have some with me?" Honey Senpai asked giving his adorable smile.

"Oh, he's just so cute!" The girls let out a little squeal.

"That's if you don't mind Kyo-chan." Honey Senpai looked to Kyouya.

"Not at all Honey Senpai and you said Yuki was here."

"Hmmm yeah...she's with Haru-Chan and two of her friends from class....Mmm mmmmmm." Honey Senpai responds as he eats a piece of cake.

"Well, if you could excuse me ladies, I'm just going to see an old friend who I heard has just arrived." Kyouya said politely as he rose from his seat and left the table.

"Ooohhhh, Kyouya is coming this way." Mika said with a huge grin.

"Now, get going!" Yuruwhichi gives Yuki a slight push forward.

"Kyoya...hi. This place looks amazing." Yuki says with a soft smile.

"Yuki, I'm glad you came. Would you like me to show you around?" Kyouya asks with a friendly smile.

"I'd like that." Yuki walks up to Kyouya.

They start by taking a walk through the main gardens just across from the lawn where the festival tables had been set.

Wah...this remembers me so much of when we were kids. Remember? How we would be playing in the garden and you'd be telling me the names of the flowers and why you liked them." Yuki smiled as she recalled the memory.

"I remember a certain someone running away from me because some flowers I picked had a bug on them?" Kyouya said as he fixed his glasses.

"Well, you can't blame, naturally girls don't like bugs!" Yuki says she folds her arms.

"I was a lady bug." Kyouya tries to hide the laughter in his voice.

"Even so...a bug is still a bug Kyouya."

"So, what made you decide to come attend school are Ouran Academy?" Kyouya asked looking at the horizon.

"My mother thought it was a well accredited school also she missed being in Japan...and so did I so we thought it was time to come back." Yuki smiles walking backwards facing Kyouya.

"You'll hurt yourself walking like that," Kyouya says watching her closely.

"Hmmm I'm just waiting," Yuki says turning around.

"For what exactly?" Kyouya asks.

"Nothing really, forget I said anything," Yuki says as she keeps walking coming to a clearing,

Kyouya knowing their out of sight of peeping eyes take Yuki by the hand and pulls her towards him placing his other arm around her waist.

Yuki blushes slight, "Ah...Kyouya...why are you being like this?... Yuki asked growing shy.

"I would like to have the pleasure of having this first dance with you," Kyouya takes Yuki's hand and kisses it softly.

Yuki blushed as her cheeks became red, all she ever wanted was to be close to Kyouya again, but this was not what she was thinking of, but she wasn't going to let this moment slip away, because who knew when Kyouya would hold this tightly in his arms again.
