Taemin skipped in front of me and the newly fallen snow swirled in the air around his feet as we walked our way to the bus stop. My apartment wasn't very far away, and during most seasons I walked there without bothering taking a bus. 

But since it was both cold in the air and ice on the pavement I'd decided to take the bus after all. 

Plus, I didn't want Taemin to get sick.

I watched his slender form as he skipped, no almost danced, in front of me, the strands of his hair catching the rays of the sun in a way that almost made it seem as if they glowed.

"Minnie?"

"Hm?" he twirled as a step in the intricate dance he was making up and bounced back to my side. "What is it, Hyung?"

He was so beautiful, his skin pale as always, apart from his cheeks that were flushed from the cold.

"You're really pretty, you know that, right?"

He blushed a little but then he pouted.

"But Hyung, I don't want to be pretty, I want to be manly. Like you."

He hit my arm lightly and I couldn't help but reach out and ruffle his hair affectionately, which he tried but failed not to blush even more at.

"You'll always be my little pretty Minnie. I like you exactly the way you are, you don't have to change a thing!"

"You're so cheesy, Hyung," he whined.

"Admit that you like it, though."

He just stuck his tongue out at me and faced the direction we were heading in instead of looking at me.

But I could see the smile tugging at the corners of his mouth, and few seconds later I felt his small hand reaching for mine. I gently accepted his silent invitation and took his hand, intertwining my fingers with his. His hand was cold, just like the winter air around us, but at the contact I felt my skin heat up.

And in my stomach the little butterflies started batting their wings.

We were going to spend quite a bit of time alone this weekend, I and the boy I loved
