CHAPTER 8

It was early morning in the Choi Residence, Siwon was eating breakfast and Seohyun hurriedly packed her things and went downstairs.

"Oh, Seohyun-ah, you're up early. You don’t have any classes today." Siwon says after taking a sip from his coffee

"Good morning appa!" Seohyun says happily "Nae, but I’m going to FNC today. Who knows, I might be the next Hyoyeon of SNSD!" She replied, grinning

Siwon chuckles "Arasso. I’ll see you later. I need to go now. The board of directors are probably there already."

"Okay. Goodbye appa! Goodluck!" she said, giving him a kiss on the cheek

They both went off.

Seohyun arrived in FNC and went directly to the Neoz Dance's practice room

She watched the boys practice. She stared at Chani, he was one of the best dancers among the group. He was really focused on their dance.

Seohyun started making funny faces, hoping Dawon would see and laugh, and mess up the dance entirely. He glanced for a bit but still did the dance perfectly.

"Daeeebak! They're so cool! They don't even flinch" Seohyun quietly said to herself in amazement

The song ends and they did a cute pose

Seohyun starts clapping "Wooh! Omo! Chani-yah you’re really good at dancing!" She compliments as she ruffles Chani's hair "If only I could dance better" she mumbled to herself and sighed

"If you want I’ll teach you again noona!" Chani smiled and said gladly

"Even if you teach her, she’ll still dance like a worm!" Dawon laughed out loud

"Yah! Oppa!" Seohyun slaps Dawon's arm and pouts in annoyance

"Aw...Aish!" Dawon shouts while rubbing his arm

Seohyun starts walking away but Dawon runs to her and blocks her way

"Yah, Seohyun-ah, y-you don’t have classes today right?"

"Yes and so?" Seohyun says with crossed arms

"Uhm…w-wanna go out and eat lunch with m-me?" Dawon nervously asked while rubbing his nape, not looking at her directly

"You mean like on a date?"

"Yah! I mean like a friendly lunch but you can also say that..." Dawon replied, whispering that last part

"Hmm... I don't know...." Seohyun smirked

"Fine! Then don't!" Dawon pouted

"I'm just kidding! Of course, I'll go with you!" Seohyun laughed

"Whatev--wait what? Really???" Dawon looking shocked

"Yeah, I’d love to! There’s this new pastry shop that I want to check out as well!" Seohyun replied happily

"Hyung, can I go with you?" Chani asked

"Y-Yah aniyo! T-The manager might notice if you go with us!" Dawon says, lightly pushing Chani away

"Aww, it's okay Chani. There will come a time when we will hang out too, just the two of us!" Seohyun says assuringly

"YAY! I'll be waiting for that day, noona!" Chani says joyfully

Seohyun and Dawon were in the mall around lunch time. They were busy strolling around.

"Oppa! I want to go eat ice cream!" Seohyun said like a child

"I thought you want to go eat cakes? Let’s eat lunch first okay?"

"Kaja! I want to eat! I’m hungryyyy~" Seohyun absentmindedly held Dawon’s hand and pulled him while walking

"E-Eh…Seohyun-ah?"Dawon is shocked and stared at her

Finally realizing what happened, Seohyun blushed and nervously laughed while letting go of his hand "K-Kaja oppa…I-I’m hungry."

Seohyun continued walking, still flustered by what she did while Dawon was still standing from the same spot, staring at his hand.

"I didn’t expect that one coming! Pull yourself together Lee Sang Hyuk!" Dawon thought to himself and ran after her

At the restaurant while eating

Seohyun sighed in disbelief and furiously munched on her food.

"Aish! Seohyun-ah! Why did you even hold his hand!?!?! Omo!" She thought to herself

"Yah! Seohyun-ssi! Easy on the food! Your tummy might hurt!" Dawon reprimanded her

Seohyun pouts and continues eating. She is still embarrassed about what she did.

The two of them ate lunch and watched a movie

"The movie was really good oppa! I want to watch it again!" Seohyun said

"Y-Yeah. What was it about again?" Dawon asks while he scratches his head

"Yah! You didn’t watch!? Aish…I understand that you're tired but too bad you didn’t see the best part of the movie! Anyways, I still need to go to that pastry shop that I told you! I need to get their cakes!" Seohyun told him

"Mwo? You’re still hungry after eating those popcorns?" He said while he is being pulled away

Seohyun dragged Dawon towards the pastry shop and went inside.

"Sanghyuk-oppa, I’m going to the restroom. My tummy hurts" Seohyun pouted while rubbing her stomach

"Aish! That's because you ate too much popcorn. Arasso, I’ll wait for you outside." Dawon said

"Thank goodness I’m still alive after eating all those foods" Seohyun thought to herself on the way to the restroom

Suddenly, someone tapped Seohyun’s shoulder while she was washing her hands.

"Oh, Seohyun-ssi. I didn’t know you’re here. How are you?"

Seohyun turned around to see who it was

"A-Annyeong Eun Gi eonni!" Seohyun greeted and bowed "I went out with a friend so…"

"Well then, you should sit with us. I’ll wait for you outside." Eun Gi said

While Dawon was busy ordering cakes and tea for Seohyun, he noticed someone familiar. The person approached Dawon while he was covering his face obviously trying to avoid him.

"Dawon? Yah! It’s you! Why are you here!? Aren’t you supposed to be at FNC!?" Jungshin whispered loudly

"O-Oh sunbae. M-Mianhe I’ll go back to FNC after this." Dawon bowed and laughed nervously

"Don’t worry, I won’t tell them! Are you with someone? Why don’t you go sit with us?" Jungshin offered

Seohyun followed Eun Gi and noticed that Dawon is already sitting at their table with Lee Jungshin.

“I can’t believe that you’re here Jungshin-oppa! Have you tried their cakes it’s really good~!" Seohyun excitedly eats her cake while fangirling

"Are you guys on a date?" Jungshin laughs and nudges Dawon

"A-Aniyo! We’re just friends Jungshin-oppa! I-It’s nothing like that!" Seohyun said while flailing her hands

Eun Gi smiles "The two of you look really good together."

Seohyun and Dawon were nervously laughing and slightly blushing

"I’m really glad that we saw each other again Seohyun-ah. It’s a shame that I didn’t get to talk to you before." Eun Gi said

"E-eonni, we used to be friends before right? I’m sorry if I forgot. Maybe I was really young that time." Seohyun apologized

Dawon felt relieved and awkward at the same time for he knew that Seohyun didn’t have a pleasant past with Eun Gi.

"Well, at least she changed already." He thought to himself.

"It’s alright. We can still be friends." Eun Gi smiles

Dawon noticed that it’s about time for him to go back to FNC.

"Joesonghamnida. I really need to go now. Manager-hyung might scold me if he found out that I did not attend the practice." Dawon said, standing up

"Arasso. Do you want me to drive you back to FNC?" Jungshin asked

"Aniyo, it’s fine sunbae. Thank you!" Dawon bowed at them "Seohyun-ah, kaja. You still need to practice with Chani right?" Signaling Seohyun to stand up too

"Ah yes. Annyeong Eun Gi-eonni, Jungshin-oppa!" Seohyun bows and follows Dawon out

"I’m really happy that you’re getting along with Seohyun-ah." Jungshin said

Eun Gi smugly smiled to herself while drinking her tea.

Jiyeon headed off to the Taerang Group building to bring dinner for her father who has been working nonstop since morning.

A lobby employee greeted her there

"Good Evening Ms. Choi Jiyeon. Mr. Choi Si Won is still at his office meeting with the board of directors. Would you like me to bring those for you?"

"Aniyo. I’ll bring it myself. He also wanted to talk to me." Jiyeon smiled at her

"You can wait in his office, Ma'am" the lobby employee directed her to Siwon's office

The lobby employee bowed and left. Jiyeon sat on the couch in her father’s office and slept. After a few hours, Jiyeon was awoken by the noise that the door made.

"Appa, how’s the meeting?" Jiyeon said sheepishly while rubbing her eyes

"Sorry if the meeting took so long. There’s a big problem within the company. That’s why we need to talk with our board of directors." Siwon said

"Waeyo? What’s wrong appa?" Jiyeon stood up with a worried look on her face

"Apparently there’s someone who is leaking reports from our company." He explained

Jiyeon was shocked "We thoroughly check the employee’s background right? It is unusual for us to receive those kinds of problems."

"Yes, we’re going to investigate further to address the issue." Siwon sighed

"You need to take a break from work appa. You’ve been working since morning. Here I bought you dinner." Jiyeon unpacked the bag and set the food on the table.

They both ate there then went home afterwards.
