Mina’s head perked up at the sound of the doorbell ringing.

“Who could it be at this hour?” She muttered as she got out of the comfort of her warm bed and walked towards the door.

It was midnight and the girl was having a nice mug of hot chocolate and a book before the doorbell disturbed her peaceful activities. She didn’t fear the sound or anything like that as she lived alone for most of her life, with the fact that she also lived in a relatively safe and uneventful part of Korea.

The girl grumbled as she reached the door and looked through the peephole, finding that only the night was staring back at her. However, just as she was about to head back to bed, she caught a glimpse of what seemed to be a parcel just near the blind spot of the peephole. Seeing this, she unlocked her door and slowly opened it, the cold metal sounding with a creak. What stood outside her door was, indeed, a parcel. A large one at that. The size of the thing only served to pique the brunette’s curiosity as she scrutinised it for any labels. After a minute of examining the parcel, Mina could only find one label.

Mina scoffed when she saw the label.

“Is this supposed to be some kind of joke?” The girl groaned in irritation as she lugged the package into her house.

This may not have been the safest idea for our heroine, but the freezing temperature was more than enough to make the girl retreat back into her woman-cave. Lugging the heavy parcel into her living room, Mina huffed.

"What the …" The girl said as she retrieved a pair of scissors from a drawer.

However, she froze in her tracks when she heard a bump come from the package. Her senses sharpened and she flinched, now cautiously moving towards the parcel while holding the scissors in a stabbing manner. She slowly shuffled closer and closer, until the object was right in front of her.

The girl gulped as she prepared to cut through the top of the parcel. With sweat trickling down her forehead, Mina cut away.

The girl wiped the sweat off her forehead and opened the package, her eyes widening, the object inside leaving her at a loss for words.

What laid inside the box wasn't an object, however, it was a person. More specifically, a girl who was in fetal position and asleep, shivering due to the chilling temperatures.

"It's a….person?" Mina thought as her hands trembled, gripping the edges of the parcel.

"H-Hello?" Mina squeaked, not wanting to scare the girl.

As soon as Mina called out to the sleeping girl, the latter's ear twitched. It wasn't any normal ear, though, for the girl had cat ears, shocking Mina even further. If Mina was at a loss for words a few seconds ago, she was completely stumped now. She could only watch as the girl's eyes fluttered open. The cat girl slowly emerged from the box until she and Mina were at eye-level. They stared at each other for a long while, the cat girl unblinking. As their staring contest wen
