Flowers and Ferns
Description
Wheein and Hwasa come from two different worlds, but their relationship forces both sides to reconsider their differences. A fairytale.
Foreword
This story is inspired by a French film called Ernest and Celestine. It doesn't follow the plot, but only its broadest themes of difference and embracing differences.
This story attempts to follow in the traditions of the Brothers Grimm, Hans Christian Andersen, Charles Perrault, Angela Carter, and many others. As a simply told fairy tale, I encourage you to paint the world with your imagination as you see fit.
My inspiration for this story, aside from that wonderful, wonderful movie, is Wheesa's love. My personal wish is for everyone to experience the kind of enduring love that Wheesa shares in any form--romantic, platonic, familial, whatever floats your boat.
Wheesa love makes the world a better place :)
