When Choi Areum was 14 years old, she was asked to babysit and tutored a kid by her neighbour, Mrs. Kim. The older lady asked Areum to take care of her son while she was out working. Areum agreed happily, thinking it will be an easy job and she was indeed in need of money. Areum knew Mrs. Kim's son almost her whole life.
