Heaven's Office

Description

Let’s just say that God isn’t what He is mostly described as, not wrong or anything. He’s really loving, wonderful, caring—he’s perfect. But he doesn't speak so Old Englishly, in fact, we're great pals. And ever since the population of the world blew up, He had gotten really lazy to write down His beings’ life stories. He had your prayers to listen to, your requests to fulfill, your mistakes to be forgiven, your hands to be emptied so you could grab onto new items and people, your departed loved ones to be sent to wherever they needed to be, and he had you…

And you thought a single algebraic equation was a whole numbers and letters of work. God had billions of people to look after, that’s why he has ME! His one and only, the most incredible… FATE! Yes, he hired me so his duties will be lessened. He hired Saints too, there’s Saint Peter, the keeper of the gates, and so on. I’m the most important of all. Because without me, your life would be so boring! Anyways…

Welcome to Heaven’s Office. As you all know, I’m Fate… But I dive down into the surface of the Earth as Brian Joo; I know you’ve heard of me! And I’ll be with you throughout the story; you’ll just not notice it though.

Step into my office, this here is my game board; this is where all of my magic happens. All of the game pieces are you mere mortals and I create your twists and turns each day, well it depends mostly. If your stories go well, I’m really encouraged to play more, but if it doesn’t, I’ll pretty much be bored and besides, I have a lot of you to choose from. It’s all because of your free will and intellect, and all these things you call “feelings”!

Playing the story to your life is like playing the Sims but it’s more of a Snake and Ladders ordeal, with all of the game pieces used to get to the top. I just don’t use dices; they’re too random and so off. I like climbing on the ladders without counting and I lance you off as I please.

And there’s you right now, lounging about in the living room doing something rather unproductive of your life. The room’s so fancy, so sophisticated. I bet God made you rich. Or are you above average?

Anyways, since God hired me just recently, I haven’t been able to attend to everyone’s life yet. But there I was walking to work one morning with eyes busy scanning the clipboard, checking the progress of everyone’s life and noticed your life progress is really poor. Your life is just wake up, get ready for school, breakfast, school, back from school, dinner, get ready for bed, sleep, and the whole process repeats in the next day. WHAT’S UP WITH THAT?!!

Some background, background… Ah, you have two half sisters who are the eldest, Yoo Inna and Inyoung, and an elder brother, Yoo Seungho, which make you, Yoo ~~~, the baby sibling. Your father had a wife quite older than him, and she died 2 years after having Inyoung. He remarried to your mother who was younger. Your father later died of old age, you were 7 then. So…

Thank God He hired me or your life is terrible and I’ll have to meet you went Saint Peter welcomes you in. Anyway, I’ll be here chilling out in the office and I’ll see you sometime around. Ciao!

Ever since the population of the world blew up, He had gotten really lazy to write down His beings’ life stories. He had your prayers to listen to, your requests to fulfill, your mistakes to be forgiven, your possessions to be taken so your hands could grab onto new items, your departed loved ones to be sent to wherever they needed to be, and he had you…

Who am I talking to?

Foreword

Characters…

You (Yoo ~~~):    A lazy, average girl who does normal things with your life. Your family is quite above typical. You’re pretty, clever, and very turbulent, but you don’t normally catch eyes. You like looking in the mirror a lot. You only had one boy friend all your life and are looking for cute but serious romance in a relationship.

Jo Youngmin:    He’s this head turner in school that you see quite often, but he isn’t that of a star. He has a twin. He looks elegant and charming, has nice clothes, but he’s the ‘don’t judge a book by its cover’ type once you get to know him. He isn’t that rich, but his level is much advanced than yours.

No Minwoo:    Your best friend who is always mistaken as, if not your twin or brother, your boy friend. You’re always together like two peas in a pod. He’s protective and your brother’s close friend. He also comes from a slightly above standard family. He lives quite far from you ever since college started.

Yoo Seungho:    Your protective brother who goes to the same university as you. He has taken the place as head of the family in your household. Though he baby-s you a lot, he equally teases you collectively often. He’s a part-time model to help with the expenses.

Brian Joo:    Also known as Fate.

Note:

If it's confusing, please let me know :) I love comments, please do leave some for me to read. This is just one of the plots I have, stuck in my head and I knew that I just had to write it down because it quite annoying to not being able to sleep due to the desire for me to write this. Trust me, I have a dozen of plots that bother me a lot. Well, I hope it just decreases by writing this one :D I hope you enjoy~ Pyong! ^________^
