Since a lot of you (I think) are rooting for the 1st chap, here ya go!

Note: this is a very RAW chapter which means there will be a lot of grammar mistakes and typos. If you can't bear that then please wait for me until I am free enough to start editing (maybe by that time I will post the 2nd chap, who knows?)

Enjoy and good bye for now!

Edit: Oct. 25th

It felt like a dream. A really bad dream that he never thought that it came. A bad dream that felt like it was real, like it’s truly happening to him before. Like... he could actually feel the pain, not just physically but mentally.

And then, everything became blur. The warmth that he hoped he could felt for the last time was gone, and now all he felt was cold.

The wind breeze slowly around him. He could hear the rustle of the leaves, the sweet scent that surround the place, how comforting he felt. Slowly, he open his eyes and blinked for a few times. It felt like a thousand years since he open his eyes, that he need to closed it back so it could adjust to the sight. His body felt heavy, especially his left arm and at the centre of his stomach, just below the chest. Surprisingly though, his head felt lighter, and when his eyes already adjusted, he used his other arm to picked himself off the ground.

And then a thought suddenly came to his mind; what is this place? Where am I?

…Who am I?

He looked to the left and right, hoping he could see the answer, even though judging from the place, it looked deserted. He then take a look at himself, of what he was wearing. His clothes was white from the bottom to top, and the blouse was neatly tied on the left side of the clothes. It was flimsy and comfortable to wear. Nonetheless, he could feel that he already seen the clothes, or even wear it for a thousand times. He just couldn’t pin-point it at where…

A sudden light flicked on his eyes making it twitch, and he looked over to the ring that snug prettily on his ring finger. He frowned and reached out to trace his finger on the surface. He was mesmerized for no reason, and something about this ring make him felt much better than before…

A flash of man who sliced the body of a younger guy flash on his head, making his eyes widened. He jump and threw his hand away, where the ring still attach on his ring finger. He stared at it for a moment, like the ring could catch a fire any second, and then, an image of a girl who was lying on the ground with blood beside him appeared, and one by one, all the image turn into flashback.

Flashback of him playing around a big place that looks like a palace, of him bathing with other boys who half of them look a bit like him, of him and a girl who was petite but strong enough to actually knocked his head until it was bruising for weeks, of him learning and starting to fall in love with the same girl, of him who would do anything for the girl, of him celebrating his birthday with his siblings, of him meeting another girl who was much stronger than him, of him who found himself in forced marriage with that said girl, of him trying to recover from his heartbreak over the first girl, of him who start to fall in love with the girl he married after a few years…

He remembered. He remembered all of it. From the start, until when he’s finally here. On why he was in here.

He looked around him, finally realizing that the girl that he love was not with him. “Deok…,” he whispered, turning his head left and right. “Soon Deok-ah…,” He was franctic, scared that he might not see her again. Just the thought of that makes him terrified, and so he found himself on his own feet, walking aimlessly and searching for the girl, hoping that he would found her. There was a lot of things that he wanted to do with her, things that he should have done a long time ago. He’s not going to waste it for the second time; not anymore.

And just when the thought crosses his mind, he caught sight of a girl dress in a white gown on the ground. He stopped, his eyes fixed on the girl and his body froze. He was too stunned to do anything. He stared at the body with mixed feelings, knowing that it must be her. That girl who was lying on the ground is her, his wife; Park Soon Deok.

“Soon Deok-ah,” he said, slowly making his way towards her. After that, his feet seem to get faster, and after a moment he found himself running towards the girl while yelling her name, hoping that she would wake up just by the sound of his voice.

“Soon Deok-ah, Soon Deok-ah!” right now, he was feeling esctatic. All the bad thoughts that came on his mind a while ago immediately dissapeared when hr saw her. He raised her body a bit and leaned her head on his shoulder so that he could see her better. He tapped her cheeks while calling out her name softly. “Deok-ah, Deok-ah. Wake up,” he called after a few tries. At this moment, he didn’t care to wiped away the tears that rolled down his cheek. He was just too happy to see her alive and well, even though it was just a literal meaning.

“Buin, please wake up,” he whispered, still tapping her cheeks and trying his best to wake her up. And just like that, her body suddenly revolted like she just got hit by a thunder, and then slowly, her eyes opened bit by bit. Wang Eun, upon seeing this smile wider. He brushed away the stray hair of her face so that she didn’t felt suffocated, and he waited for her to adjust her sight of the surrounding. She blinked for a few times, looking dazed. Seeing her like this makes him realized that he had miss all those years by hating her and being in denial.

Right now, he definitely would not miss any moment with her.

“Soon Deok-ah,” he call her after a while, smiling softly when her eyes trail onto his face. Deep inside, he was worried that she might forget everything about her just like he did, and it didn’t help that Soon Deok kept looking at him blankly, like she was trying to figure out who he was.

She reached her hand towards Wang Eun’s face and smiled. “Wangja-nim,” she called back, and it felt like a heavy burden was lifted off of his shoulders. He sighed and hugged her, relief that she still remembered about him. He let go of her, and help her to sat properly. While he was busy brushing off all the dirt off her gown and hair, she turned around to look at him.

“Where are we?” she asked, and after that he realized that he didn’t have any answer for that. He looked around, seemingly confused and have no idea just like her. At the end, he sighed.

“I honestly don’t know,” he admitted, and looked at her only to find that she was gazing at the surrounding. The place looks like a jungle, with trees hovering them, but it was a different kind of tree, one of which he couldn’t pinpoint of what it’s name. He never seen these kind of trees before, and the ground looks like a sand of a sea rather than a dirt. There were no traces of wild animals, not even a bird chirping. It was just the sound of wind and the rustling of leaves. Overall, the place was calm and safe.

“It’s a peaceful place, wangja-nim.” She said, snapping him from the thoughts. He beamed and looked at her.

“Do you want to live here then?” he asked, grinning at her. Soon Deok nodded her head eagerly, like the prospect of them living here would be wonderful. He chuckled at her and shook his head. Soon Deok couldn’t help but smiled wider at the sight of him, and she ducked her head, hiding her face from Wang Eun’s sight.

As long as you’re with me, I want to live everywhere with you, wangja-nim.

Wang Eun stood up from his place and held out his hands to help her stand up. He wrapped his arms around her waist and looked around. Soon Deok looked at him questioningly. “Let’s go,” he said and started walking, but Soon Deok didn't budge. Wang Eun couldn’t help but threw her a questioning look. “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing.” She shook her head. “I just want to know about where are we going?”

Wang Eun stared at her for a bit before smiling softly. He put his hands on her shoulders. “I have to admit that I don't have any idea about that, but, do you believe in me?” Soon Deok didn’t hesitated to nod her head, making his heart beat faster. He didn’t realized how she have always look up on him until now.

“Then, just stick close with me, okay?” he said, and after a while, Soon Deok nodded in understatement. Wang Eun straighten and reached for her hand, and then they started walking side by side.

They didn’t realized how long they have been walking, but it was nearly night when they found a lake. The sky was dark purple with blue moons and a few stars. It was such an odd but definitely magnificent sight, and by the looks of Soon Deok’s face, he knew that she instantly like the place. Maybe even more than the place where they both woke up.

“Are you tired?” Wang Eun asked, dragging her to sit with him. Soon Deok shook her head and looked over to him.

“Aren’t you?” she asked, and Wang Eun just shook his head. He had choosen a big tree, almost the same like a fig tree. It’s big enough to give them a shelter in case it might be raining – if this place even raining that is. Wang Eun looked over to Soon Deok who was staring at the lake and then to the sky, where the blue moon and stars were shining brightly after them.

“So…,” he heard her saying under her breath. “This is what after life looks like?”

He let out a breath and didn’t said anything. He just stared at the lake, so deep in thoughts about what had been happening to them that he never realized that soon Deok was looking at him. She didn’t knew what he was thinking, but she got the idea of it. She waited for a minute before slowly gripping his hand. That was enough to take his attention away, and she beamed at him

"Wangja-nim,” she started. “I couldn’t say this to you before, but now that you’re here with me, I just want to thank you,” Wang Eun looked over to her and frowned a bit. He didn’t understand what she was saying, but it looks like she hasn't finished yet, so he just kept quiet. “Thank you wangja-nim, for choosing to stay with me. I always thought that maybe I won’t get any chance to be in your heart, but lately, you show that I indeed have some space in your heart, so thank you wangja-nim. Thank you,” Soon Deok fumbled with her fingers, seeming unsure about something, but then slowly raised her index finger and smiled hesitantly at him.

“You are really an awesome person, wangja-nim,” she said, grinning when Wang Eun stared at her in the eyes. He meanwhile, feels a bit conflicted. The gesture he always make towards Hae Soo were now done by his wife, and he couldn’t help but feels dissapointed with himself. He was always hung up over her that he was blind to see how Soon Deok have always been observant when it comes to him and Hae Soo, and he couldn't help but feel ashamed.

He forced himself to give her a smile, and instead of raising his own finger, he thought hard on how to make a new gesture that only him and Soon Deok could used. He didn’t have any idea at all, so all he did was took her hand and spread the pinky, and then he wrapped his own around her. Soon Deok tilted her head, confused, but then she grinned brightly at him when he started talking.

“You too are an awesome person,” he said, and smiled softly. “…buin,”

It was enough to birghten her up, who for him looked more ethereal than the moon, or this place even.

He didn’t realized when he fell asleep, but the first thing he saw after opening his eyes was her. They were leaning on the tree trunk, with her head firmly placed on his shoulders. He smiled at her and scoot closer, when suddenly he heard a rustling, like someone was in there. He looked around, searching from where the source came from, but he couldn’t see anything. Curious, Wang Eun decided to check on what it was and slowly detached himself from her. After making sure that Soon Deok were still in a deep sleep, he stood up and started walking away.

He had walked around the lake, but he couldn’t find anything at all. He was pretty sure that someone or something had walked in here, but he didn’t find anything in particular. At the end, he gave up. Maybe it was just the wind, he thought and turned around when the sight in front of him makes him stopped dead on the spot. His eyes widened, and he could only gaped at the person in front of him.

Wang Moo just beam at him. “Eun-ah.”

That was enough to make him bolted straight to his brother’s chest.
