Being the mother of a group full of guys was hard. Taking care of seven guys was even harder, but having to take care of a guy that could use chaos as a second name was the hardest. That´s at least if you asked Kim Seokjin.

It wasn´t that he didn´t like taking care of others. In fact it was quite the opposite. Ever since he had been a child, he had found great pleasure in taking care of others. First it had just been his mother he had help as often as possible, his favorite place being the kitchen where he had spent hours helping her cook. However, as soon as he started kindergarten, he had started to care for his friends as well, making sure they were feeling well and didn´t fight. He had heard a few adults calling him weird but his friends hadn´t cared and so hadn´t he.

When he had joined the group it had been natural for him to become the mother of the group. Not only had he tried to take care of them since the beginning but he had also turned out to be the oldest of them all. Even though he hadn´t been appointed leader, members still turned to him for advice and comfort. It didn´t matter if they were hungry, worried or simply unsure, they would often come to him and if he was honest with himself Jin kind of liked it, especially since they seemed to enjoy his food. Yet, it often turned out to be pretty difficult as well.

Taking care of Yoongi was comparatively easy. Maybe it was because the rapper behaved more mature or just because he was a calm person in general, but whatever it was, he almost caused no problems. He would spend most of the time in his studio composing and producing new tracks and if he wasn´t, he would be somewhere drabbed over Jimin. The only thing he had to worry about was to get some food to Yoongi and to remind him to sleep. However, lately Jin had noticed the rapper putting more space between him and Jimin and it kept him worried that it would hurt the both of them.

Hoseok could be annoying to take care of at times. The younger rapper was quite helpful more than once, always making sure everything was tidy and nagging the others to do the same. In addition he would always be there to cheer up any of the members when they needed it. However the younger was also a giant ball of energy. He was like a beagle, not being able to be still for any longer than a few minutes. They all got a lot of strength from it but it also seemed to cause Hoseok to get all those ideas that could get them into great trouble if he wouldn´t stop him all the time.

Taking care of Jimin was almost too simple. The guy was like a human cat. Just give him food and cuddles and the younger singer would be completely satisfied. Jin still remembered how anxious Jimin had been the first weeks after he had joined and he had quickly figured out that the shorter was in desperate need for skin ship. The memory of the younger´s grateful expression made him smile and he couldn´t mind each time Jimin came to him for cuddles. The only problem with Jimin was that he was too innocent and trusting, often letting the two youngest members involve him in some kind of troublesome plan.

Taking care of Taehyung was usually tiring. It wasn´t that he was a bad kid or anything, contrary he was a wonderful person and Jin didn´t love him any less than the other members. Nevertheless, the second youngest´s 4D-Personality made it a full-time job to have an eye on him. It wasn´t only on recordings that he had to worry about Taehyung not destroying his image but also at home. He often got those foolish ideas from time to time, especially when he was with Hoseok and more than once Jin had to stop them from destroying half the dorm.

Jongkook could be stressful to take care of. He was a good kid but he seemed to be in the rebellious time in his life. It wasn´t only that the Maknae didn´t like to be hugged but he also didn´t listen to his Hyungs from time to time. Jin guessed that the youngest was feeling belittled by them but it was still difficult to take care of someone who wouldn´t listen to advices or suggestions even more so since Jongkook often seemed very fond of Taehyung and Hoseoks´ stupid plans. At least Taehyung seemed to have made it his mission to take care of Jongkook and fortunately the Maknae didn´t seem opposed to it at all.

However, not matter how challenging it could be to take care of any of the members, it was just completely useless to try to take care of Namjoon. That guy was a catastrophe walking on two legs and there was nothing Jin was able to do about it. Their leader seemed to destroy anything by just looking at it and the older had stopped counting how many glasses or plates they had to replace already. He didn´t even have to touch things for them to break, leaving Jin speechless over and over. However, that wasn´t what worried him the most though. It was that apart from destroying things, Namjoon would often hurt himself as well. It wasn´t that he didn´t get worried if the other members hurt themselves but for some reason he worried even more if it was their leader. Ever since the beginning he had felt especially protective over their leader and by now Jin had accepted the fact that he was feeling more than friendship for the younger.

Not that he would ever act on it. He deemed himself responsible for Bangtan and the members and it felt completely wrong to allow himself to follow that feeling. It didn´t matter that, even though Namjoon never really expressed his feelings, the younger seemed to show a certain interest in him as well. Even if their leader would openly flirt with him, he wouldn´t be able to give in. He had six children to take care of and it wouldn´t be just towards the others if he paid more attention to Namjoon or if he treated him differently. In addition, it was too risky. If anyone would find out, they would be damned and all their dreams would come to an end.

Jin let out a loud groan, as his thoughts got interrupted from a loud clatter in the kitchen, followed by a loud curse. And there went their next piece of kitchenware! Lifting himself up from the sofa, he made his way over to the kitchen slowly, already knowing what he would find.

They had just finished their “Run”-promotions and managers had given them off for the rest of the day. Hoseok had left the dorm to meet some friends and with the other children spending their time in the room, he had decided to catch up on the last episodes of his drama he had missed due to the busy schedules. It hadn’t taken long for Namjoon to join him and they had watched the next few hours in silence, his head in the younger´s lap. He might not ever act on his feelings but once in a while he allowed himself the pleasure of cuddling with their leader. Not that he would have been able to resist the way the younger´s hand carted through his hair, leaving a nice prickly feeling behind.

They had spent about three hours like that when Namjoon had offered to make them some tea. He should have known that it was a bad idea to allow the younger into the kitchen, but Jin had still felt too blissful to think it through and now he was left to take care of the leader´s mess once again.

Stepping into the kitchen he was met with a mess of china and hot water, Namjoon standing right in the middle, frown on his face. It made him look a lot younger and the older couldn´t help but wonder how it would feel to kiss those lips. However he quickly pushed it to the back of his mind, instead stepping forward to get the younger out of there before he could hurt himself as well. Yet, before he could do anything about it, Namjoon was already bowing down, hissing as a shed cut into his hand when he tried to pick them up.

Great, just what was missing! Letting out a sigh he quickly grabbed a kitchen towel and tightened it around the blonde´s hand. He tried not to flinch at the whine the younger let out, instead guiding him to one of the chairs and instructing him to hold the pressure. Quickly getting the first aid kit, Jin took a closer look at the wound, letting out a sigh of relieve when it didn´t seem too serious. It seemed like they wouldn´t need a doctor this time and he quickly set to bandage the taller´s hand, trying to be as careful as possible.

Finishing up, he was about to pull back when Namjoon took a hold of his hand, letting out a little hiss as he tightened his hurt hand too much.

»Thanks, Hyung. «The leader´s expression was relaxed, a little smile playing around his lips. However, his eyes held that affectionate look that never failed to send shivers down the older´s spine. The brunette could hear the alarm going off in his head and he knew he had to do something before he did something foolish.

»Sometimes I really wonder if you´re doing this on purpose. « He let out a laugh, trying to lighten the situation but instead the younger´s flirty reply only seemed to add to the tension.

»Maybe…« The wink he added, sent warmth all thought Jin´s body and he knew he had to do something now.

»I am gonna get a broom! « He jumped up before Namjoon had a chance to hold him back, nearly fleeing the kitchen. Reaching the storage room, he leaned against the wall, taking a deep breath to calm his beating heart. Letting out a groan he rubbed his face. It was becoming harder and harder to keep away from the younger and Jin had no idea what to do about it.

»Did you hear about Namjoon? « Jin heard Taehyung ask his boyfriend, and he immediately stiffened. What was it that that guy did this time? He quickly turned his attention to the two youngest members beside him on the sofa and he couldn´t help but smile at their cuteness.

It had been a week since those two had finally found the courage to confess to each other. The oldest had no idea what happened in the training room that night but he couldn´t care less whenever he caught the two smiling at each other, seeming more content than ever before. It even made up for the little sleep he had that night. It hadn´t been something strange for some of the members to stay behind for more practice and even though the fact that the two youngest seemed to have had a little fight before had been a little worrisome, he hadn´t thought too much of it. That had been until he had awoken sometime around three in the morning and the two of them hadn´t been back yet. He had tried calling them, but Taehyung´s phone had gone straight to voicemail and Jongkook hadn´t answered at all.

He had been about to wake up a manager to take him to their training room to make sure they were ok but before he could Namjoon had appeared behind him, telling him to not to worry and that they would surely be ok. It hadn´t really helped to lighten his worry but when their leader had ushered him to the sofa, turning on a drama and holding him tight, he hadn´t been able to resist and he had fallen into light slumber after a while. However, not before promising to kill the two younger singers the next morning.

Nevertheless, when they had found out about the locked door the next day and the two of them had stood there, hands locked and a slight blush painting their cheeks, announcing they were a thing now, he had forgotten all about it. He hadn´t even started the whole lecture about their image and having to be secretive, he had held when Yoongi and Jimin had announced their relationship to them. The older two had been able to keep it on the low without any problem and he trusted their two youngest to be able to do the same. However it got him thinking if he had been wrong and if it wouldn´t be too bad to give in to Namjoon´s advances. The other seemed to be having no problem in keeping it a secret only known by the members so they should be able to do it too. However, he was still having this responsibility towards all the other kids and therefore he quickly pushed the thought to the back of his mind. Instead he returned his attention back to what Taehyung had to tell.

»I heard he might be dating someone. «

»He what?!?! « Jin felt his heart missing a beat as he jumped up from the sofa.

»I heard so too. « Jongkook looked up at him with innocent eyes and the oldest felt jealousy creeping up into his mind, as he just stared at the younger for a moment. Not sure how to react, he just nodded, before leaving the room.

He knew he didn´t have the right, but he was feeling more and more jealous by the second. About all the worrying about not leading their leader on, he had never spend a thought on the fact that at some point Namjoon would just give up and find someone else. The thought alone made his heart clench but maybe it was best this way. At least there wouldn´t be any risk of doing something foolish anymore. However he needed to make sure before he tried to get used to the fact of the younger dating someone else.

Stepping into his and Yoongi´s shared room, he found said man on his bed, all snuggled in with Jimin. He felt a little sorry for interrupting their obvious little bliss, but he needed to know.

»Yoongi, did you hear anything about Namjoon dating? « His voice sounded way too hopeful for his own taste, but if the other two noticed, they didn´t let it show.

»I don´t know, but Jimin said he read something online, wasn´t it? « The rapper looked at his boyfriend questioningly and the younger just nodded in agreement.

That was too much as Jin suddenly felt anger taking over his whole body. What was that guy thinking behaving so recklessly? No problem with dating, but having it casted on the internet?!? Not spending another glance on the couple he stormed down the hallway towards the leader and Maknae´s shared room. Knowing Jongkook was occupied in the living-room, he didn´t hold back as he stomped into the room.

»What the heck were you thinking?!? Are you crazy?!? If you want to date: fine! But can´t you at least be careful enough to not get seen and the whole internet knowing?!? Don´t you even care about your or our image?!? «

»What are you talking about, Hyung? I am not dating anyone! « Namjoon seemed totally confused and it only help to fire his anger even more.

»Oh really, because that’s not what the Maknaes heard! And Jimin even read it on the internet! «

»And did you check it? « The younger´s voice was almost predatory and Jin instinctively took a step backwards.

»I...« he felt all fight leaving his body immediately.

»Oh, so you just assume it´s the truth and believe I am not able to take care of my image and the group?!? « Anger was radiating from the younger´s whole body as he stepped closer until he had the singer caged against the wall.

»No! I just…I mean…«

»What? What is it, Hyung? Be honest! Why are you really this angry? « All anger had left Namjoon´s expression from one moment to the next. Instead a knowing smile played around his lips and the older felt his heart speeding up its space.

»I…It´s just…I…« Jin tried his best to force an explanation from his brain. He wasn´t ready to admit he was jealous, wasn´t ready to let go of his principles. However, before he could come up with anything, all thoughts left his mind as the leader suddenly pressed his own lips against his.

The moment their lips met, the brunette felt like a whole new world opened in front of him, but he still wasn´t ready to accept it. He lifted his arms to push the younger away, but when Namjoon used his tongue to draw out his lips they lost all strength. Still, the blonde seemed to sense it anyways as he disconnected their lips.

»Stop worrying about the others, Jinnie. « The new nickname send shivers down his back and Jin felt himself relaxing slowly as the leader continued. »They´ll understand… Besides, they still have each other. « Before the older had a chance to replay their lips met again and this time he just let go, kissing back.

Jin felt Namjoon lifting him up and carrying him over to what was probably the bed. He was dropped on it seconds later and he opened his eyes, only to see the younger hitting his funny bone on the bed post. Not being able to hold in a laughter, he send the blond a bright smile.

»I swear, there is no one clumsier in this world than you! «

Namjoon let out a genius laugh that found its way all the way to Jin´s heart, before connecting their lips again. As the younger´s hand found its way into his hair, a thought accrued to Jin. Maybe taking care of Namjoon wasn´t too hard. Maybe not being allowed to take care of him anymore would be much harder.
