Description

Throwing himself into a murder investigation wasn’t the best idea, Taeyong supposed.

But small towns talk, especially since a twenty-year-old mystery was uncovered again.

When a rookie officer decides to investigate, Taeyong felt a spark in his curious mind.

"You are too curious for your own good sometimes, you know that?" Johnny chuckled, holding the flashlight out in front of him. Taeyong huffed and crossed his arms above his chest stubbornly, blowing his fringes away from his eyes. "Come on, you're acting like a child." The older retorted, gazing at the darkened trail littered with crispy fall leaves that had been blown away from their mother branch.

Taeyong scoffed, separating himself from Johnny in a childish manner, "Umm, that's not today's topic?" He retorted sarcastically, a dry lump stuck in his lump. "Why are we at the edge of town again? I thought you already found that old, torn up jacket of yours you lost the last time we went hiking."

Johnny gaped at the younger, letting out a dramatic gasp and proceeded to drop his flashlight onto the gravel road, "What do you mean old and torn up? The only thing old and torn up is you, you brat."

"Hey!" Taeyong argued, looking down at the older when he crouched down, trying to find his flashlight in the dark. "For your--"

"Tae? What do you think this is?" Johnny questioned, using his fingers to brush off the remaining dirt. Taeyong stumbled, his breath shaking slightly after catching a glimpse of what it was. "You don't think..."

"No, it can't be." Taeyong argued, his hands shaking to shine the light onto the evidence.

"Tae, but it is."
