Description

This job is highly unlikely to be the dream job of the general public but it is for her, Krystal Jung’s dream job was to be a librarian and with her luck and the lack of people applying for the job, she got in with not much problems at all. She grins widely as she stands on the steps of the library, taking a deep breath. “Let’s do this, Krystal Jung.” She said to herself and did a little fighting by herself before taking light steps into the library.

She made her way to the main office and picked up her tag as well as signed the required documents and with that, her first day of work started. Being a librarian was a simple job, if you had perfect memory that is. You just had to remember which books go where and help people find the books they needed, which was simple for Krystal but there was one thing she forgot about libraries… they had taller shelves. Krystal now stood in front of a shelf, holding a book and sighing as she spied the empty part of the top shelf where the book belonged. She muttered words to herself and did a fighting, a habit she got whenever she met an obstacle, and tiptoed to try and push the book in.

Just as the book was about to get in, Krystal lost her balance and fell backwards. Oh, the amount of prayers made in that 10 seconds of falling was incredible and Krystal prayed for her safety and they were heard. Actually, her scream was heard. Krystal opened her eyes to only be able to see the blurry things around but she was pretty sure she was intact. “A-Am I in heaven already?”

A laugh was heard. “You wish, you’re still on the horrible earth, I’m afraid.” Krystal turned behind and squinted at her saviour. “What? Haven’t you seen a normal human being on earth before?”

Krystal’s face turned red and she shook her head, her hands went up to find her spectacles to find them not resting in their spot. “Where’s my spectacles...”

Her saviour looked around and spoke up after a while. “I’m afraid they’re broken.” She picked up the frame of the spectacles with shards of surviving glass still on it. “Can you see?”

Krystal shook her head. “My degree is pretty high.” Just then, Krystal was reminded of how she was still lying in the embrace of her saviour and she quickly stood up. “T-Thank you.”

Her saviour stood up as well, she wasn’t that much taller than Krystal, maybe around 2cm taller? “It’s nothing. Here, take this.” She took off her spectacles and put it on Krystal. Krystal was finally able to see her saviour clearly. Those round eyes and luscious lips, she’ll never forget them. “You can return those to me later.”

“Thank you…. What’s your name?” Krystal said, adjusting the spectacles a little.

“Victoria, Victoria Song. And you?”

“Krystal, Krystal Jung.”
