"Please Daddy don't hit her anymore! I promise next time I'll be quiet!" a little boy cried, stiffening as his "father" turned to tower over him.

    His father leaned down to whisper in his ear. "Next time it will be you." The little boy flinched at the smell of whiskey staining his breath and at the hidden promise in his tone.Carefully the little boy stumbled over to the crumbled, bloodied body on the floor..it ws his sister. "Subin are you okay?" the little boy, Oliver, whispered still trembling in fear. 

    "Don't worry Ollie it isn't as bad as it could have been." Subin whispered back wincing as she sat up clutching her bruised rib. It frightened her how those words so easily slipped out of her lips. Getting up Subin took the little boy's hand and they quickly, and quietly walked to Subin's room.     Quickly changing into her uniform she turned and forced a smile at her little brother. "Come here sweet pea! You don't want to be late for school."
