"That's what careless words do.

They make people love you a little less."

- Arundhati Roy, The God of Small Things

It was a quote Baekhyun had to learn the hard way. Though frankly speaking, he doubt Arundhati Roy would be happy with the lesson he learned.

For one, Byun Baekhyun was not referring to love when he said he had learned his lesson. (Or maybe he was. Bite him.) For two, said “people” was actually a girl, and she didn’t exactly love him “a little less”. She just sneered. And glared. And killed him twice over in her pretty little head.

And opened up a whole new world for Byun Baekhyun to wander into.

After all, Kim Minhee was one hell of a complicated girl.

Foreword

[CONTENTID2]

When you’re a hot playboy, everyone know you or have heard of you. When you’re a hot playboy in a small, messed up town, everyone know you and you know everyone else - from the school’s security guards to the principle’s niece.

And that’s the difference between Byun Baekhyun and other hot playboys. That’s also the difference between getting laid or being kicked in the ball.

In the entirety of his short life, Baekhyun never had any trouble getting what he wanted. If he wanted girls, they flocked him like birds. If he wanted money, his parents threw them at him like they were on flames. Life was fun. Life was simple. Getting girls was easy.

He knew what to say, what gestures to make, where to touch to bring out a reaction.

So when a new girl sauntered down the school’s hallway like she damn owned the place, Baekhyun was sure as hell marking her as his.

He did what he was good at. He walked up to her, swung his arm around her shoulder, and flashed his million dollars smile.

“Hey there beautiful,” he had whispered into her ears to which she was supposed to shiver and blush.

She had none of that.

Nope. Not even the slightest hint of pink on her porcelain face.

She halted midway, looked at him blankly, then she sneered.

She bloody sneered at Byun Baekhyun. Byun Baekhyun who was damn well rich and handsome and way out of anyone’s league.

“Do. Not. Call. Me. That.” New girl spit each word out through gritted teeth, ready to burn his hot down to ashes with her blazing eyes. Then stalked off.

That was the first time Baekhyun didn’t get a girl. He might as well call in sick for two months straight from the shock.

“Yep that’s Kim Minhee, the new girl,” chided Sehun, the walking information vault, somewhere at the side.

Oh she was new alright. New and bloody dead. [/CONTENTID2]

Chapter 3: NEVER doubt your writing skills - that is the rule of writing a story. Even if hell breaks loose, keep writing. Keep in mind that you are writing for your own satisfaction instead and not for the readers because readers will be gone but your satisfaction won't.

Your story is good :) don't worry. It is really nice. I love the pace and I love their relationship and I love the story. I will be waiting for another chapter but, please, take your time. :D

Chapter 1: Yeay first chapter!! and it's already makes me wanting more. Your writing is interesting and even without any dialog or anything it's easy to get the point (and describe how clumsy baekhyun's situation is hahaha). It's interesting, i hope you will update soon and.. longer, maybe? :D
