Chapter 5:

Byul tossed on her bed for a thousand times as she sighed. She looked over to Hanbin who was sleeping peacefully on the floor

“Why is he back?” Byul asked to the sleeping Hanbin

“Answer me” she muttered as Hanbin answered her with soft snores.

“I really didn’t think you guys would be friends” she said

“You’re useless” she sighed as she lay on her bed, memories from two years ago flashing on the back of her mind.

FLASHBACK: 2 YEARS AGO

“You’re here?” a voice said as Byul turned around and smiled at Jiwon. It had been three weeks since they last met. But she understood the situation he was in, he had to compose, choreograph, write songs and arrange music. Things were pretty hectic.

“I miss you” she smiled as Jiwon smiled a bit. Something was off.

“Byul” he said in a soft voice as he sat next to her

“Neh oppa” she smiled intertwining their fingers together

“I think…” he paused as he sighed deeply

“We should break up” he said as Byul stared at him

“You’re joking” she said with a small unsure smile

“Things are gonna be more hectic than this after I debut, and even now I can’t make time for us then how can I manage after I debut?” he said as Byul let go of his hands

“Will you be happy if I leave you?” she asked as Jiwon breathed deeply

“You have to be happy” he said as Byul felt her tears fall

“Let’s break up” he said standing up and walked away.

END OF FLASHBACK

*5:00 am*

Byul took her sweater as she walked out of the house, making sure not to wake anyone up

It was still a bit dark as Byul walked to the park just a few distances away from her house, unknown that she was being followed.

Byul sipped the hot cup of coffee as she let of the cold breath and sighed when she felt someone come and sit next to her. She slowly turned her head and gasped

“Kim Jiwon” she muttered as her first love sat there, and placed a pair of gloves on her lap

“It’s cold, wear that” he said as Byul looked at him

“Leave me alone” she muttered as Jiwon looked at her

“I just wanted to tell you I’m sorry” he said as Byul scoffed

“Sorry? Really?” she muttered as she stood up to leave

“Don’t go” he said grabbing her wrist as she swallowed her hurt

“Leave.me.alone.” she gritted as Jiwon’s grip on her grew stronger

“Please” Jiwon said hugging her from behind

“I have a boyfriend now, Jiwon” Byul muttered as Bobby tightened his grip

“I know you don’t love him” he said softly as Hanbin’s face flashed in Byul’s mind

“Damn it Kim Jiwon” she muttered, her tears threatening to fall
“Damn you” she said, her vision already getting blurry

“I’m sorry” he said as Byul pulled away
“What about that day when you walked away, leaving me crying then?!” Byul asked as Jiwon looked down

“I want to make things right now” Jiwon said as Byul hit his chest

“You jerk…you bad person” she said, already crying as flashbacks of two years ago flashed in her mind

“You don’t know what I’ve been through. You don’t know how much my life was ruined because of you…don’t you have no shame?! JERK!” she shouted as Jiwon grabbed her shoulders trying to calm her down

“JERK! DAMN YOU KIM JIWON! I HATE YOU LEAVE ME ALONE!!” she shouted

“BYUL!” Jiwon said shaking her by her shoulders

“Get a grip” he said softly as Byul looked at him, her tears already flowing down her cheek

“I know what you have been through…I have missed you too. I regretted leaving you, I really did. And it hurt me to think that you were no longer my girl, it hurt me to think that you’d be in someone’s embrace when you were hurt and not mine, so I tried to find contact with you…”

“But you had already moved away from Incheon, I didn’t know where to search for you, till I found your picture in Hanbin’s phone. I knew this was my chance, I didn’t tell him…I was just waiting for that day I’d meet you without anyone’s help and that was yesterday” Jiwon said as Byul wiped her tears away with the sleeve of her sweater

“Excuses…lies…all lies” she cried as Bobby hugged her

“Mianhae…I really mean it…I’m really sorry…please forgive me jagiya” Bobby said as Byul pulled away

“You are disgusting” she said as she walked away wiping her tears away.

Hanbin hid behind the wall as his heart ached at the sight. He knew he was in love with someone he could never have. As long as she was happy, he was happy too.
