The Monster behind the Lucky One

Description

Jongin never knew he would fall for kyungsoo, a delicate, straight faced boy who carried a monster behind his back.

Foreword

The boy’s body trembled as if it had been shocked by an enormous amounts of electricity, his body staggering from side to side before it made contact with the floor beneath. The transparent glass that was once filled with an alcoholic beverage, shattered as it fell ungracefully in slow motion, an invisible gravitational pull pulling it breaking the heavy silence with loud clatters and clings .

Kyungsoo gasped, staring at the broken soju bottle that had been rooted to his hands, not letting go as his knuckles bloomed pure white due to the pressure. His eyes grew larger as each second felt like a nightmare that didn’t stop to look back and wait for the younger, continuing to inflate, suffocating the younger.

Even before he could doubt, a dark liquid started to spread across the non luminous grounds of the alleyway, a deep crimson reflecting off the dark atmosphere, the neck of the broken bottle in the younger’s hands slipping away along with is hope that he wished he hadn’t done.

“He’s…. dead...”

Jongin sat up, leveraging his body on an angle as he stared at the lifeless body, surprised and taken back that Kyungsoo had just committed. He slowly turned his head towards the face of the straight faced boy, only to meet eye to eye with the other that pleaded for help through his gaze. Tears threatened to fall from the round doe like orbs, his body shaking visible, his bottom lip quivering due to fear that just slapped the younger to reality.

Jongin pushed his bruised and aching body up, reaching out to the other who stood frozen in place, not know what to do or what to say as his resolve started to crack and chip away. The other silently palmed the other’s small face delicately as if he would shatter any moment, gazing into the other’s eyes in a sign to console the frightened other.

“Hyung… hyung, look at me..” Jongin pleaded gently, grabbing the older’s attention.

“Promise me something.. Promise me that you won't say anything. That you would just forget everything that just happened, and that you didn’t see or do anything. Can you do that for me?”

Kyungsoo looked up, his tears blinding him from the view of the younger’s face, his automatically nodding, as he opened his mouth to speak, only to find that no words came out. However, the next few words that managed to slip through the plump lips of Jongin, instantly broke the gates that blocked Kyungsoo’s vocal cords.

“And that… that you never knew me…”

“No, no! Why?! I..I can’t do that… What are you saying?!! We we’re suppose to..”

“Don’t you ing get it?!?! Stop being a so stubborn and get the out of here!” Jongin practically yelled with venom, cutting the other off completely.

“But...but Jongin-ah…”

“I was getting tired of seeing your face anyway, might as well get rid of you now.”

That was it.

That was the last thing Kyungsoo heard from the younger’s mouth before he felt his tears flowing from his eyes as his resolve crushed into dust, floating away along with his sense of emotions. After that, he just ran. Not turning back like he once did before, eyes tightly sealed, as the night continued to run perpetually as a small drop of light sparkled in the corner of Jongin’s eye.
