Rude Interruption
Boxing GlovesSeohyun had a free day when the gym was closed, and obviously that meant only one thing could be done: pamper Jinju as much as possible because Jinju was definitely a princess and she deserved only the very best.
Except it didn't quite turn out as planned. Of course, it started out with pampering and playing with Jinju, but soon enough, it was 7:00 pm and Seohyun was consumed in the TV show playing out in front of her, the screen bathing Seohyun in the colours of the show while the rest of the lights were dimmed to the lowest setting. The sky had gone dark by 6 through the late March's early sunset, which meant Seoul was left in a cloak of darkness with all the lights to compensate. Did Seoul even deserve daytime with the exceeding amount of lights?
This was just one of the questions that crossed Seohyun's mind during the commercial break as she lay her back on the arm of the couch and sprawled her bare legs over the rest of the cushions. Watching TV was partly exhausting, mostly because she was so involved in the life of the characters' lives. It was intense, the way she took it. It was comparable to the insanity of a fraternity house watching American football, all rooting for the different men built to bang their heads into each other.
Okay, maybe not that chaotic, but she was definitely loud. "Oh my god! No, she was perfect for you, what the actual ?! Go back to her, Fred, you ! Fred! Fred, you made her sad! No, you er, go back!" She yelled in disagreement and disappointment, throwing a handful of popcorn at her TV screen because the character just would not listen. One day, she'd mature and realize that the animated people of a kids' TV show would probably never listen and maybe she should stop throwing popcorn at the TV because she'd have to clean it off the desk under the TV later, but that day was not today. Besides, yelling at the TV was a lot more fun.
"Daphne, I'm so sorry. We've all been there. He's just too dumb to realize what he has," she talked to the girl on the brightly lit screen, her eyes blooming with tears of sympathy for the character as she watched Daphne go home, lonely and sad, and every idea that someone else could make the character unhappy made someone want to go into the TV and punch Fred square in the face. "Yeah, Shaggy, look! That's your friend, Fred! He's an idiot, you should get your dog to bite him!"
Suddenly, there was a knock on the door. "Daphne, it's okay. I am here and I can tell you boys are losers," Seohyun said tearfully. The second knock was a bit louder. "Yuri, open the door! You're a big girl, I believe in you!" She called out in a snarky tone.
Seohyun rolled her eyes at the third knock as she got up to answer it. As she threw open the door, she was honestly surprised to see JungKook standing there, dark and loose clothing with a scarlet beanie and all three piercings in his ears. At the moment, Seohyun was so lost in his appearance that she didn't even realize what was going on. She was dropped back into reality soon enough, though, when JungKook said something and she didn't quite catch it. "What did you say? What are you even doing here, JungKook? Don't you have something better to do?" She hissed. JungKook smiled.
"Yuri told me I should come over and give you something to do. I told her I would. I'd assumed she'd told you, because I asked about your clothes," he answered. Seohyun looked down. She was wearing a loose navy blue t-shirt with a large hole in the back, making it almost an open-back shirt. She wasn't wearing a bra or pants.
"What's wrong with my clothes? This is my house, if you hadn't noticed," she responded. JungKook shrugged, coming inside before she'd invited him to and hell if that didn't piss her the off.
"I don't know, maybe if Yuri had told you, you would've changed."
"I'm not changing," she answered with crossed arms, trying to seem intimidating but the tears strolling down her cheeks totally killed the vibe. And then she remembered how sad the character looked...
"Why are you crying? Did someone die?" He asked softly, putting a hand on her shoulder. Seohyun covered and shook her head.
"No, it's just... The show I'm watching is really emotional," she told him, leading him to the living room where her show was playing.
"I don't understand..." JungKook trailed off, watching as the characters celebrated their recent solving of a case. "Seohyun, you're literally watching Scooby-Doo. I really don't understand what's emotional about this," he sta
