It was ten minutes past midnight when she heard someone banging on her front door. It was a manic pounding, and even though a rush of fear poured over her, the person on the other side of the door seemed desperate. Cautiously approaching the door, she peered through the peephole and saw someone she recognized right away.

"Taehyun!" As she opened the door, she saw her friend's clothing covered in blood with a childlike look of fear plastered across his face.

"Seulgi, please, I need help. I have nowhere else to go."

Looking behind her friend, she saw him, sprawled out upon her front stoop, bleeding profusely from his side as he struggled to breathe.

"Get inside."
