Author's Note:  Happy Anniversary DotS!!!!!  When I started this story almost one year ago, it was envisioned as a short story.  You (the readers) wanted more, and I agreed that there was room for more, so I kept on writing.  What some of you may not have realized is that in addition to a Chapter 2, I'd also started writing a Chapter 3.  Unfortunately inspiration fizzled and I was never able to complete it, but all these months, that half-written chapter has weighed on me.  I wanted to finish it and so, a few weeks ago, I dusted it off and started working on it here and there.  Last night, I finally wrote the rest of the chapter and when I was done, I looked at the date on my computer and realized it was the one-year anniversary of the final air date for DotS!  I swear I didn't plan it this way on purpose, it just sort of happened, but I definitely think that's called that fate.  One year later, the love and fascination for this amazing drama has yet to fade . . . I hope you're still as entranced and still rewatching.  I know I am.  ;)   Thanks for your patience dear readers, and enjoy!     Chapter 3: Life with Baby     “Aish!”  Mo Yeon snapped her spoon down on the table, clearly irritated and perhaps a little bit frustrated too.   “What’s the matter?” her husband called out from the living room.   Mo Yeon pushed back from the kitchen table and walked to the doorway separating the two rooms.  Leaning against it, she crossed her arms and answered, “It’s the miyeokguk.  I can’t do it anymore.  Every day for four weeks.  Breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  I’m so sick and tired of it.  Can’t I have something else?  I’d kill for some kimchi jjigae.  Or deonjang jjigae!”  She trailed off and unconsciously her lips as she started to dream about all the things she’d rather be eating than another bowl of seaweed soup.   Shi Jin, who was sitting on the sofa with their baby lying belly up in front of him, taped down the last tab on Dae Joon’s diaper.  He then held the baby up in the air triumphantly and said with a smile on his face, “There!  Done!”  “The look on your face right now is the same one you had on your face when we had to walk through that field of landmines,” Mo Yeon commented dryly.   Shi Jin laughed.  “Now that you mention it, they’re not so different, are they?”  With his diaper changing duties finally done, he turned his attention back to his wife.  “As for your miyeokguk problem, you’re going to have to talk to your mother about that.  You know I just follow orders around here.  When she left the house this morning, she told me to heat the soup for your lunch, so that’s what I did.”  Mo Yeon pouted.  “At least she’s letting you finally have visitors.”   “Finally!”   Mo Yeon wouldn’t have necessarily described herself as a social creature.  She’d never been the late night partying type, and she enjoyed a quiet evening at home whenever she could manage it.  But neither was she a hermit.  She was used to being around people, which was why this month away from work was proving to be difficult.    After Dae Joon had been born, there’d been a flood of visitors to her hospital room.  It was unavoidable, being a patient with a newborn child in the same place where she worked.  So many people, from friends, colleagues, and even Chairman Han had stopped by to wish her well.  And while she’d been grateful for everyone’s good intentions, it had also been tiring.  That’s why she’d been happy and relieved to be discharged home after three days.    But now, four weeks after giving birth, Mo Yeon was singing a different tune.  She hadn’t been allowed to leave the house or have any visitors, and she was starting to go a little bit stir crazy.  But now that she was at the end of her sam chil il, Mo Yeon’s mother was finally letting them have Seo Dae Young and Yoon Myung Joo over for a visit.  She couldn’t wait to see their friends.    The irony was not lost on Mo Yeon.  Once upon a time, Myung Joo would’ve been the last person she’d want to see.  But after everything they’d been through together, they’d grown close.  Myung Joo was also due to deliver her own first child in a few weeks, and Mo Yeon was eager to see her one last time before that happened.  The first-time mother and soon-to-be mother had lots of notes to share and compare.   “What time will Seo Dae Young and Yoon Myung Joo be here?”   Shi Jin stopped cooing at the baby long enough to look at his watch and answer, “In about an hour?”   Mo Yeon sighed.  “I guess I’ll go finish my soup then.”   #####   The baby had just fallen asleep for a nap when Dae Young and Myung Joo arrived with gifts in tow: clothes for the baby, a bouquet of flowers for the new mother, and a box of red ginseng tonic for the new father.  “To help keep up your strength,” Dae Young told Shi Jin, slapping him on the shoulders.   “Thanks,” Shi Jin said, immediately breaking open the box and consuming one.    Mo Yeon rolled her eyes at her husband.  He was such a freak about those tonics.  “Come and take a peek at the baby,” she told them.    Everybody crept towards the baby’s bedroom and peered over the crib.  “Oh, he’s so cute and sweet,” Myung Joo whispered.   As his mother, Mo Yeon couldn’t help but agree.  Shi Jin, on the other hand, pointed out, “That’s because he’s sleeping right now.  You should see him when he’s awake and crying.  It’s nothing to joke over!”   “Sounds like he takes after his father then,” Myung Joo said.   Shi Jin made a face at her and started to remind her that he outranked her, but Myung Joo couldn’t have cared less.  Had they been at work, she absolutely would’ve afforded him the respect he was due as her superior officer.  At home, however, he was just her neighborhood oppa.  Dae Young and Mo Yeon were pretty used to their sibling-like bickering ways by now.   “Yah, can you two stop fighting for once?” Mo Yeon asked.  “You might want to think about setting an example for the children now that you’re a parent and about to be a parent.”   “They wouldn’t be Yoo Shi Jin and Yoon Myung Joo if they weren’t fighting,” Dae Young observed.   “That’s true.”    Letting the baby sleep, they filed one by one out of the room and returned to the living room whe
