your soulmate is none other than your worst enemy,

Jeon Jungkook.

Foreword

HIM: THE HOPELESS ROMANTIC

"But what if I never fall in love again?"

You only know what you had all to yourself once you lose it.

Here’s to all the hopeless romantics, the ones who get stood up on dates, the ones who spend all their nights with tear-stained cheeks, the ones who fall in toodeep, the ones who are fearless of the fall.

Here’s to all the hopeless romantics, this one is for you. This is for the ones who are the last ones to proclaim a game over, no matter how much it hurts.

It’s not game over yet, but it’s a restart game

HER: THE LOVE SEEKER

"Save me, I need your love before I fall."

You only know what you put first before yourself when you realize that you’ve put yourself last.

Here’s to all the love seekers, the ones who put their feelings last just because it seemed right, the ones who get their heartstrings snipped or tugged, the ones who are cautious to fall in too deep, the ones who are fearful of the fall.

Here’s to all the love seekers, this one is for you. This is for the ones who are the last ones to proclaim a restart game, no matter how much it hurts.

It’s not a restart game yet, but it’s a game over.

"How do you do it?"

"Do, what?" She asks him, and he shrugs his shoulders in reply.

"How do you always fall in love with different people?" He beats her to it. She stares at him confusedly.

"I don't," she blankly replies, glancing back up at the stars. But what he says next completely catches her off guard.

"It's the same thing every time. You meet someone, you fall in love, the other falls out of it, then you break up, and you're complete strangers again. Don't you get tired at all?" He rambles on and on, and she furrows her eyebrows in frustration.

"I don't think they would ever get tired," she replies, shrugging her shoulders. "Because falling in love requires patience, and falling in love has no time limit. What matters is that very moment where you can look into each others eyes and know that they'll never look someone else's way."

He falls completely silent, and somehow she starts to grow worried. Looking at him, she frowns when she notices that he was looking straight at the gold band that was wrapped around his pinky.

"Is it her that's bothering you?" She manages to choke out, and he looks away from the ring just to look at her. He frowns, and slowly nods her head.

"Until this day, the same thoughts haunt me every night." He whispers, "not knowing why she would leave me like this haunts me to death. Why did she say 'no' to me? I thought we would have a future together."

"Maybe she has her own reasons," she shrugs her shoulders.

"Is it because I'm blind? Is it because I'm handicapped to her?" He asks aloud, and she chuckles.

"I don't think so, Jeon."

"Then, why?" He looks frustrated at this point, but only one answer seem to stick out of her thoughts.

"Maybe it's because she found her soulmate."
