I randomly picked a good Korean name for the female. She's not Sowon from Gfriend. I just love the name.

It was a cold and rainy day were little droplets of gentle drizzles softly hit the windows of a black Starcraft van in a merry pitter-patter. Jungkook was seated on the leftmost portion of their vehicle, silently observing the calmness of the weather despite the surge of an upcoming storm. He had his earphones on; listening to some acoustic music, taking advantage of the brief tranquility before he and his entire team exhaust themselves into another intense session of training.

BTS was once again preparing for another come back, and with their recent surge in popularity; expectations for their quality of music and performance were also upstretched. People rooting for them, their loyal and ever passionate fan club dubbed as their A.R.M.Y., would be expecting no less than perfection from the seven boys. It was a great honor but at the same time, an equally overwhelming responsibility. Henceforth, the eighteen-year-old boy had his heart set on harnessing his skills some more and working his hardest in order to be worthy of the love he receives from their fans and listeners.

After some time their van was safely parked in the basement of Big Hit Entertainment building. The group gradually piled outside, training gear and bags on hand, and proceeded immediately towards their office, first to greet Bang PD nim and finally to commence their practice. Jungkook’s older brothers, mainly Suga and the leader Rap Monster were discussing about working overtime to finish a song they were bidding to be included in the new album. Such conversation reminded him of his own intentions to finish his song, one in which he worked for months but knowing the perfectionist in him, he never was contented in any outcome he came about.

“Kookie ah.” he heard his Jimin hyung cooed and slung an arm over his neck, the older boy’s usual bright grin was ever present in his puppy-like features, making the younger one smile in return.

“Ne, hyung.” Answered he, clutching unto the straps of his bag, adjusting the weight on his shoulders.

“When will you show us the song you have been working on?” asked Jimin. Upon hearing so, all of the boy’s attentions were diverted towards them. “You’ve been under that project for months and still you haven’t shared anything from us, how’s it going for you?”

“Maybe you can let us hear it and who knows, it might get a spot on our next release.” Said Namjoon as they arrived in front of the elevators. “The new album could use another spot.”

“Ah, but it’s far from complete yet, hyung.” Answered the youngest. “I don’t think I can let you hear it when I’m not even half satisfied of the result.”

“If you’re having trouble you can always ask for help.” Said their oldest, Jin, with a kind smile. “Have you considered asking Bang PD nim’s opinion?”

“No, not PD nim.” Jungkook answered, shaking his head swiftly. “The song is still far from completion and it would be shameful to have him hear it at its current stage.”

The boys entered the lift, cramming themselves in the small compartment along with their manager. “You could really use a third person opinion.” He heard his Suga hyung said. “Sometimes all a song is needing would be a little suggestion from a listener, work on it, and then you’ll find yourself surprisingly satisfied with the completion.”

“I’ll gladly give you my opinions, Kookie ah.” Chimed his Jimin hyung, quite happily.

“Thanks hyung, I’ll consider it some time.” The maknae simply answered with a slight smile. The elevator doors opened once again revealing them the floor in which the president’s office were located. As per usual, they were a rowdy bunch and greeted everyone they met halfway, staff and trainees alike. They finally arrived inside the office of their producer but instead of finding him, alone and the usual busy-bee that he was, they found instead a young girl, around Jungkook’s age probably, merrily chatting with their boss. Her identity to them was observably unknown.

Jungkook heard his manager hyung cleared his throat before announcing, “PD nim, annyeong hashimnikka.” Upon hearing the big guy turned his attention, as well as the young lady, towards the newly arrived bunch. On cue the boys bowed in synch and greeted their president as well.

“Boys, good morning.” Bang PD nim greeted with an evident tone of pleasantness in his voice. “Before anything else, I’d like you to meet Miss Sowon.” And he motioned towards the younger girl as she bowed before them.

“Annyeonghaseyo.” She greeted, her voice sounding so gentle and somehow, Jungkook unknowingly found it quite calming. He didn’t know and couldn’t seem to put his finger on how he felt, but it was actually the calmness that the rain brought to him, earlier on their brief car journey.

“I’m sure you know Bangtan, Sowon ah.” Said Bang PD and the boys were only listening intently.

“Ne.” she simply answered with a kind smile.

The big man laughed heartily upon her reply, “As expected my boys are very popular nowadays.” He boasted quite proudly. “That’s good, that’s good. Anyway, Sowon here is the newest addition to our team of composers and producers.”

Surprise was an understatement as a reaction towards the gallant announcement of their president. Jungkook especially didn’t know what to say. He looked at the girl and she looked nothing like hip-hop and Big Hit was nothing but hip-hop. She was dressed in a pale blue high waisted skirt and a white blouse atop a brown trench coat, not to mention her hair was high up in a bun and she was donning Jimmy Choo loafers for crying out loud. Amongst the rowdy and rough image of the entire company, the poor girl looked nothing but an eyesore, totally out of place.

Nonetheless, his Namjoon hyung was the quickest to collect himself and respond. “Nice to meet you, Sowon ssi.” Said he, extending his hand for a shake. “I’m Rap Monster.”

“Nice to meet you too, Rap Monster.” She replied.

“Hello Sowon ssi, nice to meet you.” The rest of their team greeted and each shook hands with the seemingly mysterious young lady.

“Sowon here is your age, Jungkook ah.” Said Bang PD nim. It was nothing but simple words but the shy maknae couldn’t help but feel a little bit flustered. “But she’s already a graduate of Juilliard.”

The boys couldn’t help but gasp in awe after hearing the exceptional credentials on the young lady’s resume. Even Jungkook was astonished, but his mind became even more puzzled. Why would a presumably musical genius and Juilliard graduate to top it off, be doing business with their company?

The young man need not ask though as their president was keen enough to answer the unuttered question. Their faces must’ve shown they were stumped. “If you boys are wondering I didn’t hire or scout Miss Sowon, she personally had her resume submitted and I have just interviewed her yesterday. Apparently, and even I, myself, is surprised but she had all her intentions working and lending her music to Big Hit. Could I refuse?”

The young lady smiled warmly before saying, “My real intention is to make music. I hoped Big Hit would be kind enough to give me a shot.”

“That’s fascinating,” said Namjoon, “what did you have as your major in Juilliard, by the way?”

“Composition.” She answered quite brightly. “Although I am not solely limited to classical music. I’ve been branching out to contemporary, pop, R&B, and even tried messing around with EDM for quite some time, outside of the classroom of course.”

“Awesome.” Their leader couldn’t help but stress. Indeed this young girl was impressive, not to mention she seemed very easy going. “Can’t wait to make music with you.” Jungkook instantly knew his hyung already had his smooth moves directed towards her.

“I’m more excited, Rap Monster ssi.” Said she, “I heard you guys are gearing up for your next album. That sounds like fun.”

“Oh yeah.” This time his Suga hyung voiced. “Why don’t you come around and try listening to a few songs we’re working on. We could definitely use your expert opinion.”

“Please, I’m no expert to hip-hop.” And she laughed quite melodically. “Instead, I’m more eager to learn from you guys.”

“Yeah you guys could start on that.” Suggested Bang PD. “Mainly I intend to assign Sowon here to help you guys with composition. She can play a wide variety of instruments and is very keen on sounds, so you can count on her on that field. For the mean time, I trust she can quickly adopt to hip-hop, so please be kind to teach her as well.”

“No, problem PD nim.” Answered Namjoon with a little hint of a smirk.

“Alright, I guess you could start, Sowon ah.” Said their boss.

“Well it’s about time, sir.” Answered she.

“Please feel free to use any studio you would prefer. I’ll hand you a few of the songs were working on for the boys and you could take a listen.” Said he. “As for you boys, you can start practicing. You would be receiving your new choreography today. Work hard, okay?”

“Ne, PD dim!” the boys answered in chorus. “We’ll work hard for sure.”

             “Great!”

That was how the only rose amongst the heap of thorns found her way in the uprising entertainment company. But the saying stayed true to its words and surely, you cannot judge a book by its cover, for Sowon adapted to the rhythm and beat of hip-hop in no time. Her music’s own unique color of gentleness gave her melodies a certain individuality that makes her art even more astonishing. For months she and the boys worked together along with the other producers of the company to finish off the upcoming album to its utmost perfection. Gradually, she developed quite the close relationship with the boys starting from the ever-friendly Taehyung and even with the grumpy Suga. Jungkook was nothing more than casual with her though, with the shy guy preferring to keep things strictly about business between the two of them and nothing more. He was known for being too shy around girls after all, and this time was no different, if not, he may seemed to be even more timid.

Jungkook couldn’t help himself; truthfully, the skill of the woman who was just around his age was phenomenal and very intimidating. With the short span of time she had spent in Big Hit, she already earned the respect of everybody. She was very sharp and observing, hard working and diligent, most of all incredibly poetic and artistic. After all these months he still couldn’t quite comprehend why she chose to work with them when she could have easily had access with bigger music houses and companies, not to mention they could even offer her a bigger salary.  Yet one incident in which the boys were recording a song and she was one of the producers directing was where he realized why she chose the environment Big Hit has to offer. All throughout the recording she didn’t appear to be quite convinced on how the song was being accomplished and she made a few remarks on how it could be improved, yet it might undergo a huge overhaul one that might cause a little set back for the launch of the album.

If it weren’t Big Hit her opinion may not even be possible. To start with, the song wasn’t one up for stage promotions so it didn’t need to be as accomplished as the others, and the management was running tight on schedule in order to hasten the release but Bang PD nim trusted her enough that she can make the song better and still make it on time. So she was given the freedom to tamper with the composition and alter a few bits and pieces. After almost a week of intense work she presented the revamped version and the smile on the president’s face, as well as the pleased reaction from the boys, were unprecedented. Yet again, Bang PD found himself another diamond in the rough.

Just like the golden maknae of Bangtan, Jeon Jungkook, who after all these months was still stuck at accomplishing his song, succumbing alone in a studio whilst working on his music. He didn’t know what was lacking, his song sounded good but somehow it felt inadequate, in other words imperfect. What’s missing, he couldn’t quite

Chapter 2: Haha, actually this one was more of a comedy than the first one but I absolutely loved it! ^^ It was cute how Jungkook and Sowon got closer thanks to Jungkook's flu. Also, I failed to mention last time but I'm so keen on your ideas and I love how you always use real situations such as Jungkook's working on writing Love is not over and the boy coming down with a flu. You know, actually it makes everything more realistic. This part was so cute, I was in love with their scenes. Jungkook was now indeed more of a man than a shy boy but I absolutely loved him this way too. The boys' were hilarious, though, how they about the embarrassing situation. I loved the ending, too, Taehyung's exclamation was so accurate, I can totally imagine their scene! ^^ Thank you so much for sharing this nice story, I absolutely enjoyed it! It was cute, heart-warming and really amusing, totally my cup of tea. ^^ You're awesome, keep going! <3

Chapter 1: Aww, I've got goosebumps! ^^ Seriously, your story was so good and beautifully written! I actually imagine Jungkook like that; you know, that hard-working golden maknae who sometimes seems like a flirtatious guy but is actually a shy cutie pie. I loved how you reflected on his passion for music and his insecurities about his work. I just loved everything about this story! I also liked Sowon's character, she was an eager, impatient and really nice girl. They didn't have a lot of scenes but all of them were all so heart-warming and I shipped them so hard! Aww, really, you made an amazing job! Thank you for writing it, I can't wait to read the next one! <3
