Mingyu put his stethoscope back into place beside someone’s photo. He stared at that person’s smile. His bright smile. It’s been 3 years after that accident which took his life. Mingyu still blamed himself for not being able to save Wonwoo. Yeah, that guy was Jeon Wonwoo. A captain whom he met while Mingyu was still working as a physician assistant. The meeting inadvertently destined in life at this time but bear bitterness in his heart. Just because he had forbidden feelings towards Wonwoo, some parties had to sacrifice and underwent deep loneliness until now.
“Why it is hard to live without you?” He muttered as shedding his tears. Mingyu kept holding his pain for this 3 years. He played his ring that lingered on his ring finger. Yes, Mingyu had been a husband of a woman, but he never loved her. He was forced to marry her since his mother had a promise with his friend to marry off their children.
A knock from the door never closed let him out of his reverie. “Dr. Kim, your patient need a talk with you.” His assistant smiled at him while carrying several documents and books that he had to learn on the sidelines he worked at night shift.
Mingyu released his doctor coat. Put it neatly beside the coat from Wonwoo. “Is it Jeonghan hyung?” He nodded before he took a leave to continue his duty. Mingyu glanced at Wonwoo’s picture before he departed to checked up on Jeonghan.
