Ambient Locus
Description
Take a picture and put the world into focus, and see that everything is not always as it seems, that nothing is concrete. Don’t let old habits hold you down from expressing your true feelings, but be careful to not justify your means by building new ones with someone else that may be more than just innocently comfortable.
Foreword
She's so used to it. She's so used to the love-hate relationship they have that anything else is just weird. Asking for anything else would make awkward, make it seem like she's desperate, and she hates that. Why can't he be the one to make the first move? Why can't he be the first one to break the habit and take a step further?
Maybe it's accidental, that she connects with someone else. That light, that chemistry isn't exactly there, but she likes it. That she actually gets to act like a girl, it's not awkward - it's natural. He smiles and she smiles, and he laughs and she laughs, and she's left defending herself against Doojoon cause he isn't afraid to make fun of her and still let her win. But somewhere in the back of her mind she still wishes she had the same connection with Wooyoung, because Wooyoung was there first. Or is that the only reason why?
Excerpt:
It’s the look in his eyes that leaves me with more than just an image of his retreating back. His gaze that lasted longer than it was supposed to, silent words weighing in the air. It was all in his eyes, and I’ve never felt this hurt before.
I never knew. It might have been subconscious, but he never said anything and I was too stubborn to act on it. But I never knew that the type of relationship I had with the others was something he wanted with me. Old habits die hard, and what I had was comfortable, relieving–almost relationship worthy–and I didn’t have it with him. Not the beastly idol who had just left me standing there alone.
I had it with the other idol, the other beastly idol (ironic, isn't it?).
I’ve never felt so hurt, and it’s all my fault.
Title: Ambient Locus
Characters: Jang Wooyoung, Yoon Doojoon, 2PM, Beast, OCs
Genre: Slice-of-life, drama, romance(?)
Rating: PG-13 (for potential language)
Set in the same universe as This Love Undecagon, but you don't have to have read it to understand this one.
Some cross-over between 2PM and Beast - it started as a different character Point of View when static was writing Polaris... and then kind of grew into its own plot bunny. In a way they're twins, so although this can be read as a stand alone, it may make more sense (may make it more interesting) if you read the other as well.
Curious? Click here.
*because static decided to make stars, I wanted to too.
**she also wanting shipwars - so... bring it on?
