“Kyu!” Sungmin smiled once he received a call from Kyuhyun

“Not sleeping yet?” Kyuhyun chuckled when he heard Sungmin excited voice

“How can I sleep when you are not beside me?” Sungmin laughed when Kyuhyun just snorted

“Sounds so sarcastic”

“It’s called romantic, what are you doing now Kyu? Are you coming back tonight?” Sungmin knew the obvious answer but he still asked it

“Sadly no… I have one hot case coming in” Kyuhyun sighed while starring at the murder board in front of him

“I hope people will stop killing each other because I’m planning to kill my own husband anytime soon if he again not coming back home for a week” Sungmin flopped down on his bed and starred at the ceiling “I miss you” Sungmin whispered and closed his eyes

“I miss you too… trust me…” Kyuhyun sounded sincere and guilty at the same time made Sungmin smiled

“it’s ok, I know about it that’s why I agreed to marry a cops so I can cheat while he’s not around” Sungmin could only hold his laugh when Kyuhyun mumbled ‘not funny’ on the phone “not trying to be funny, maybe I should really consider about it”

“You know I hold a gun Cho Sungmin”

“then I should cheat with someone who holds a gun too”

“You’re just trying to piss me off right? Nice try”

“Are you sure?” Sungmin teased Kyuhyun

“Ya! Listen to me you are – hold on” Sungmin could hear the conversation between Kyuhyun and his colleague and he knew it was the cue for him to end the call “Min I…”

“oh it’s 11pm already no wonder I feel so sleepy, good night Kyu I’m going to sleep first, good luck and …”

“Don’t hurt yourself yes I know Min, good night, you should take care of yourself too while I’m gone, I love you” Kyuhyun whispered and ended the call

“I love you too…” Sungmin whispered and put down his phone, and he knew it will be another sleepless night for both Kyuhyun and him, he couldn’t just sleep knowing his husband is out there chasing out a criminal. No he wouldn’t sleep until he knew Kyuhyun is alive.

Sungmin felt the sun rise hit his face, he blinked a few times to adjust his eyes and opened it slowly feeling the warmth wrapped his body gently, Sungmin yawned, turned his head and immediately shoot up from the bed

“Kyu…” Sungmin said and reached his phone, called the younger, no respond. Sungmin checked hi s phone trying to see if Kyuhyun called him when he was sleeping or not, it was a common thing to do for Sungmin whenever Kyuhyun wasn’t around, he would check him in the morning to see whether he was fine or not. His worried getting higher when Kyuhyun’s colleagues said Kyuhyun already went home “Kyu….” Sungmin dropped his phone on the bed, ruffled his hair tried to erase the negativity from his mind. No he wouldn’t just wait there and getting frustrated over his husband. Sungmin ran from his bedroom getting ready to go out when he heard a faint click from the door, he saw Kyuhyun just walked in to their apartment

“Hi min, I just… what happened?” Kyuhyun immediately put down his backpack and ran to Sungmin when the latter only stood up like a statue with a blank expression

“Nothing Kyu… it’s nothing, just welcome home” Sungmin forced a smile which was stupid because eventually Kyuhyun would know everything

“You know you can’t lie to me” Kyuhyun cupped Sungmin face made him looked into Kyuhyun’s eyes directly “Tell me now or we can stand like this until you want to tell me the truth because you freaking know I don’t like when you lie to my face”

“You don’t like if I lie to your face and you yourself know I don’t like when you don’t pick up your goddamn phone and tell me that you’re alright!” Sungmin pushed away Kyuhyun’s body from his ready to have a war with the younger

“so you are angry with me because I didn’t pick up my goddamn phone when you know I was busy chasing criminals out there? Damn it min you know better than anyone else how my job is, and this isn’t the first time I done that you shouldn’t worry about me!” Kyuhyun couldn’t control his anger anymore, lack of sleep just turned him into ‘impatient Kyuhyun mode’

“I know better than anyone else about your job that’s why I expect you to at least send me a message! We have agreed about that! 6 a.m. you’re going to send me a text that you are alright but you broke that promise! And yes it wasn’t the first time! It wasn’t the first time I have to act like a fool, like a mad man, thinking of running outside to find you like I did for few times when again you just comeback with a smile and told me that you were alright. I’m not alright with that Kyu! Do you know how hard it is for me to just sitting down here, trying to sleep and chased away negative thoughts of you? And all I ask was just a simple text? You can even send me a blank text!” Sungmin’s voice cracked, he couldn’t continue his words because he knew once he talked again he would just ended up crying and he didn’t want Kyuhyun to see his tears, no, not this morning. Sungmin glared at Kyuhyun and went back to their room and locked himself inside. ‘It’s not easy… so at least do something to make it easier…’ Sungmin finally broke down

Kyuhyun stood awkwardly still in the same place where he had argument with Sungmin minutes ago, he rubbed his face feeling worn out by what just happened between them. He screwed up, he knew he really screwed up this time. Damn it what did he think before, why he didn’t consider Sungmin’s feelings after all he had done for him? But he was tired, he was thinking of cuddling up with Sungmin since it was Sunday but everything just ruined up because of one message. Drown in his own thoughts Kyuhyun looked up when he saw Sungmin went out from their bedroom

“Min… where are you going?” Kyuhyun asked when he saw Sungmin already dressed up, Sungmin didn’t answer and just walked pass Kyuhyun “Don’t you dare to walk pass by me without saying anything, damn it min let’s fix our problem first then you can go wherever you want if you are sick of me!”

“There’s nothing to be fixed here Kyu, and yeah I’m sick of you, sick of being left out in your criminals’ world” Sungmin said while looking for his shoes

“At least tell me where are you going” Kyuhyun tried to soften his voice

“I’m meeting someone who understand me better than you” Sungmin said coldly, Kyuhyun couldn’t take it anymore he walked faster to Sungmin yanked his body to face him and hug him “Let me go kyu” Sungmin said feeling suffocated

“There’s no one else who can understand you better than me, no one… don’t go min… I know I screw up again, I don’t know and I can’t promise you it will be the last time, but please… please don’t leave me alone I don’t know how to survive without you” Sungmin’s pride crumbled down when he felt Kyuhyun trembled on his embrace

“Kyu…”

“If this job is going to ruin our relationship I’d rather quit this job and spend more time with you” Kyuhyun let go his hug and looked at Sungmin’s eyes to prove that he was being serious

“Then how are we going to pay the bills if you quit the job?” one remark from Sungmin and Kyuhyun laughed out loud

“We have love and we’re going to survive with that” Kyuhyun kissed Sungmin’s lips gently

“Don’t be an idiot, love can’t give you food” Sungmin hit Kyuhyun’s head playfully

“There goes my love to you…” Kyuhyun muttered while Sungmin chuckling in front of him

“It’s ok Kyu, I should’ve been stronger as a police spouse, I’m not going to let this small thing screw our relationship” Sungmin smiled and pecked Kyuhyun’s lips “Sorry” Sungmin smiled and Kyuhyun felt his world back

“this is a proper way to apologize” Kyuhyun said and kissed Sungmin’s lips passionately this time, and let his hand roamed on Sungmin’s back feeling world completely on his hand now.

“Where were you going anyway just now?” Kyuhyun asked while playing his fingers on Sungmin’s back while both of them cuddled up on their bed

“Uhm…” Sungmin hesitated for a while before he opened his mouth again “Ahra noona told me to say that whenever we fight, that was the first time I used that though”

“That devil in human form called noona… I’m going to make sure she gets my revenge” Kyuhyun cursed under his breath while hugging Sungmin tightly, scared if he let Sungmin go again his evil-like noona will influence Sungmin again

“Ah-choo!” Ahra scratched her nose and immediately thinking of Kyuhyun “I feel his dark aura, I’d better hide somewhere else tonight”
