Naiara       July   “It’s been a while since you’ve been over here…” Naiara could feel herself zoning out as she listened to Matthew’s words, approaching a subject that she didn’t want to talk about.   “I know, I’ve been busy.” It was partially true; she had been swamped with work as always, but had simply chosen to stay at home and focus on her work instead of trying to make time for Matthew. Ever since the last time she had been at his home, and he had left her to answer the phone, Naiara had been keeping a bit of distance between them. She didn’t feel like she could trust a word that was coming out of his mouth; she was caught at a standstill in their relationship, unsure about going forward, and uneasy about going back. “Anyway, you shouldn’t be bothered by it, right? With all that work you have to do.”   “Well, yeah,” Matthew agreed. “But I still miss you, of course.”   “Aw, how sweet.” Naiara’s attention went to the notepad in her lap. In the two months that had passed since Skye had announced her upcoming wedding she had not said a word about the nuptials; Naiara had been taking the time to jot down some ideas, just in case Skye finally decided to get a kick start on the event. Chapter 13: Sweet. I like how you show glimpses of all the characters lives randomly. Kaito is right. There is no need to rush.

Chapter 12: But Naiara, just pushed Matthew away instead of asking him about this "other woman". She just literally has poor communication skills. If you want to know something just ask. You don't let it just slip through your hands without knowing the truth.

I swear she is so muleheaded. She letting thought and not proof get in her way. Really, she is getting in her own way.

Chapter 11: Great! This update was sweet. I like how her relationship with her soon to be in laws has progressed in a very positive way. You see Sumire and Takeshi, Black girls don't bite.

I like the progression of the mothers relationship as well. It is very nice when the matriarchs can have a congenial relationship as well. I really like this family gathering. It is so important to be good to each other. Welcome back Authornim. It has been a pretty good while since "I seent" ya in these streets.

Chapter 6: I don't believe Matthew is cheating (too easy under the circumstances IMO), but there is definitely something going on. He needs to open up, and Nai needs to stop jumping to conclusions. Communication is the key. :)

Chapter 6: I think Naiara needs to ask Matthew instead of speculating. Even though gut instincts are the truth. He could be. But who knows?
