Naiara       July   “It’s been a while since you’ve been over here…” Naiara could feel herself zoning out as she listened to Matthew’s words, approaching a subject that she didn’t want to talk about.   “I know, I’ve been busy.” It was partially true; she had been swamped with work as always, but had simply chosen to stay at home and focus on her work instead of trying to make time for Matthew. Ever since the last time she had been at his home, and he had left her to answer the phone, Naiara had been keeping a bit of distance between them.
