" Are you applying for the college? " 

" No " 

Bobby sat up straight looking at his friend who was right now scribbling on a piece of paper, not even raising his head to acknowledge the question

" Why not? " 

" I dont want to "

" Why dont you want to?" 

Hanbin did not reply anything and continue on scribbling 

" Chanwoo said it was a special case and they are taking us under special consideration "

Still no answer so Bobby tried again " The college usually dont do like this, you know, they are willing to give us a chance based on our talent. Its a blessing, man " 

" Then you go " the answer was straight and the other sighed shaking his head before flopping down back on the bed again 

" Not without you " 

" Jiwon-ah " the door creaked open and in came Jinhwan with Donghyuk " Stay for the dinner " 

" Of course hyung " the other jumped and glomped the smaller man while pouting " Binny is just plain evil, he never invites me for anything " the said person just ignored him 

" Hanbin hyung, are you ready with the song? " 

" Not yet " 

" Its okay, the gig is still two weeks away " 

" Ah hyung " Bobby turned to Jinhwan excitedly " You are coming, right? " 

" I will see, Jiwon-ah " 

" Hyunggg, you have to come " 

" Yes hyung, you have to come " Donghyuk too chimed in " It is going to be our biggest gig till date " 

" Right, the new club is being open by the Tenacy Group whose chief is a close friend of the YG Ent. CEO, Yang Hyunsuk and I heard he is going to come for the opening too " 

" Are not you being excited all by yourself? " Donghyuk raised an eyebrow at the rapper who taunt back before showing his tongue 

" Opportunities can be anywhere " then he continue to add on " You have to come on " childishly whining as he swing his hyung's arm back and forth 

" I cant make promises, Jiwon-ah "

" Its okay even if you dont come also " 

The three were startled by Hanbin's firm voice. Bobby literally flinched, his eyes wide and fixed on his best friend who harshly pushed his chair and stomped away out of the room in a huff 

" Is he at that time of the month? " Bobby mouthed at Donghyuk who just shook his head, confused. Jinhwan sighed 

The younger had been this way since the fight at the playground, Jinhwan could not understand what changed this time. Hanbin was rebellious, from the moment he saw the boy he saw that and he grew up to be that. The younger fights, most of the times he do, if he is not singing somewhere he might most probably be fighting somewhere. So it was a routine thing for Hanbin to fight. Almost all the time it will be Jinhwan to pulled him back from all those rendevous because Bobby was the same, wild and rebellious. It always bothered Jinhwan, and Hanbin would always try to make it up to him by telling out that he was sorry but he never says he wont fight again because that was a thing both Hanbin and Jinhwan knew he wont be able to do. But this time he never got a response nor an apology from the younger male but most of the time he will be alone in his room scribbling. That night when Jinhwan had pulled Hanbin back to home, the younger had requested him to sleep with him and later had cried himself to sleep. Jinhwan just stayed placing a comforting hand and hearing the silent sobs. It was the first time Hanbin had cried in a long time and to say Jinhwan was worried was an understatement. He went to Bobby the next day but even the boy was clueless as to what went wrong. One moment they were returning back from one of their performance and another moment Hanbin was busy punching someone who had come out of nowhere with his gang, he was not able to understand anything and just went on with the fight

" Hyung, dont worry " he felt a hand on his shoulder " He will be okay " he smiled at Bobby and Donghyuk who smiled back encouragingly 

' I hope so ' 

He had been a jerk, no he is a jerk, he knows that. Jinhwan was worried about him, he knows that too but he dont have any explaination this time. He was lost. His breathe was coming out mixing up with the cold air as he walked down the dark path, his mind was heavy and his heart seems to be frozen with the cold, he had closed his heart yet again to his only source of warmth. From the day, he had returned to his home 11 years ago with a flower pot in his hands, only to find his house burning ablaze and the small flower pot he hold in his tiny hands crashing to the ground, his cries lost to the blazing inferno, he lost all faith in humanity, he lost the power to ever feel any emotions other than hatred. He hates all, he hates the world, he hates his father and most of all he hated his mother. She left him, broke her promise. After he had lost everything that day, he was taken by his uncle who unlike his father was a good person but he had already closed his heart to everyone. But again unlike his uncle, his aunt was the symnonym for his father's personality and she was a pure devil in disguise along with his son. So one night Hanbin took out every pent up emotions within him and cracked open the head of the young boy before running away from the house under the heavy pellets of raindrops shivering him to the core. He ran and ran until his legs gave away and he collapsed, a bright light and the silhoutte of a tiny figure was the only thing his mind registered as his boby finally gave in to exhaustion.

' Jinhwan ' 

That was the name he woke up to, with face the size of a fist, eyes small like half crescents, a heart shaped mole under those eyes and a voice too loud for his tiny body. He was in an orphanage. That was what the small boy told him but he never knew what the boy meant until he found many children running here and there once he stood up from the bed. He talks to no one and no one talks to him, he likes it that way but he had never got what he had wanted and it was no different this time. Though everyone understood Hanbin wanted no one to be near him, Jinhwan never understood. With his always smiling eyes and his too happy aura, the tiny boy was always beside him. Once he had even make it clear by pushing the boy away rather harshly and even getting hurt in the process and he thought that was it, noone to bother him as the other just sat there crying and Hanbin walked away without even looking back. But he was so wrong because Jinhwan was still there, still with that same attitude, Jinhwan never gave up on him. When he was 12 years old, and Jinhwan was still there, they have still not yet become friends but Hanbin had started looking out for the tiny boy unknowingly and unintentionally, that day Jinhwan had looked up at him and hugged him tightly, smiling widely and that was the first time Hanbin's firmly cocooned heart developed a tiny crack unknown to him

' Today is your birthday '

Jinhwan had pulled him to an opening not far from the orphanage where there were fireflies and the moon shone brightly above them. Hanbin just look at the small cupcake in the boy's hands with a single candle embedded in it , saying nothing 

' Today was the day I found you three years ago ' Jinhwan smiled ' So today is your birthday ' 

Hanbin never had birthdays since his mother used to bake for him three years ago and since then he had never celebrated his birthday, he dont even know anymore when was his birthday. He was bad and he had become hard hearted but still his eyes wanted to shed tears and his heart wanted to cry out loud at that moment

' Make a wish before you blow the candle '

Jinhwan placed the tiny cupcake between them and looked up at Hanbin. Not an emotion was visible on the other and the smaller boy frowned a little
