The stars winked at them from above and Jongin holds their hands close to his chest. The newly-cut grass pokes his skin but he doesn't move away. "The stars are beautiful tonight."

"You say that every night, hyung."

"That's because they're timeless. It's a beauty I'll forever remember and appreciate."

Jongin turns around to face him. The air is cold and harsh against his skin. "What else do you think is timeless?"

"Memories." Comes the answer after a minute or two. Jongin drowns in the sea of emotions evident in his eyes. "So don't forget my memories, okay? Don't forget about me."

"I won't." Jongin promised firmly. That night, he repeats his lover's name again and again until the smooth sound of his name rolls off his tongue perfectly for the last time. "I'll remember you, Kyungsoo."

Then, he drifts away.
