When Love Ends for the First Time
“What am I to you?”
“Do you really want me to answer that?”
“Yes, otherwise, I wouldn’t have asked.”
“Okay, okay.” He runs a hand through his hair and sits cross-legged beside her on the floor, their backs bearing the heat of the sinking sun. “Let’s put it this way, you are the little jumps my heart make when I’m stirring my coffee and my mouth knows the taste of the drink even before I take a sip.”
“What? That’s corny.”
“I know, but you can’t expect me to talk about the love of my life and not be corny. Now, do you want to listen?”
“Okay, I’ll listen.”
“You are the way my bed feels when it’s ten in the evening and I just had a long, hard day at work. You are my happiness, like how kids used to get excited over the sight of rainbows. I can’t wait to see you again, even if you’ve just been gone for twenty minutes to take a bath. I miss you, even when you’re already here. Can I steal a song lyric to perfectly describe what you are to me?”
She laughs, and it’s the sound of a thousand bells chiming.
“You are my sunshine, my only sunshine, you make me happy when skies are grey.”
She shakes her head before resting it against his shoulders. This is home, right here. “Can you promise me something?”
“Anything.”
“Please don’t forget me.”
He pauses at the absurdity of her request, but responds nonetheless. “Never.”

someone should kill me for posting new stories and not finishing most of them.
i promise i would finish this. it's summer break and there's nothing else to do but write yoonkai and hopefully, complete this little word puke.
unlike my old fics, this one has a close semblance to me and it's sort of personal, we'll see how this goes.
chapters are going to be super short and updates would be posted every.. saturday? i guess.
