Dear Jason,

 

For your information, I had been leaping and whooping in joy when your letter finally arrived here after being sent all the way from Amsterdam.The stories you wrote made me roll in laughter and I ended up crying for real because I got myself a cramped stomach. Those reminded me of our own adventuresback when we were still in high school. Gosh, how I miss those silly, fun-filled days! However, I was shocked to know that my hardworking friend is now worried after how he might, after all, have a lazy bone in himself when he starts to slack in his studies.

 

First of all, being somebody who studies overseas on a scholarship, you might feel that you are in a comfortable zone, which might explain how you suddenly felt not a speckle of enthusiasm to maintain the glorious days you went through as an excellent high school student. Do realize that you were not born with a silver spoon in your mouth, and you must always remember the fact that your scholarship can be retracted once your grades are below par. Thus saying, you must fix your own attitude. Begin by disciplining yourself and get yourself a friend who can remind you to stud regularly. If you feel that you should create your own timetable, go ahead and make sure that you follow it as close as you can. Remember, time management is very important especially that now you are in a whole different world than the one you were
