Chapter 28         Chasing Dreams…

                           Taemin’s Determination, Minho’s Dilemma, Jonghyun’s
                            Exploration and Kibum’s Abet…

Point in time:      Sometime within last quarter of the year…

Location:             Paris

Taemin’s graduation day had passed and is now busy preparing all necessary things needed for his arrangement in Paris. In fact, everyone at the Choi’s household is in full gear assisting Taemin including Jonghyun. Unknown to everyone, Sooyoung previously called Jessica about Taemin’s plan thus the latter’s accommodation is readily available but decides not to reveal any information to Teamin due to impartiality reason.

Departure Time…

On their way to the airport, Taemin is all excited about the possibility of chances making it on his own and exploring life but deep in his heart and mind, what he is more thrilled is the opportunity of meeting Key somewhere along the time when it passes.

Reaching the airport, everyone except Sooyoung, is surprised upon seeing someone guiding them to enter the VIP section boarding passage. Taemin looks at her mother and gives her a questionable stare who simply responds in a nonchalant manner by shrugging her shoulders. Inside the boarding area, Taemin could not restrain his self asking her mother about what is going on…

Taemin:           Mom… did you do something about our travel plan…

Sooyoung:       (nonchalantly responds back in whisper) Taeminnie, you know this airline,
                        Mr. Taeyang has access on who amongst your Aunt Jessica, Uncle Heechul and 
                        Bummie’s friends are traveling so I suppose… one of the staffs informed
                        Mr. Taeyang… I don’t have any idea as to what is happening so let’s just wait and see…

Just about fifteen minutes of waiting, the plane arrives; the plane stewardess comes to inform all of them the plane is now ready for boarding, she asks them to follow her. Everyone’s idea is that they will be flying on a normal passenger plane even Sooyoung thought that Jessica only made arrangement for all of them to be in one of their passenger planes on special seating arrangements.

As they walk progressively, they all look at each other wearing bewildered expressions as they have passed several airlines passenger boarding passageways. Once the door opens, in front of them is one of Kibum’s private jet planes; they all gasp in surprise especially Jonghyun…

Jonghyun:       (screaming) Holy crap, Auntie, Uncle what is this? Is this the plane we are going to ride?

Sooyoung:       (nods) I believe so…

Taemin:           Mom… do you know anything about this?

Minho:             Mom… does Bummie know?

Leeteuk:          Dear…?

Sooyoung:       Guys, I swear I don’t have any idea about this…
                         I thought we are just going to ride a usual passenger plane… No idea at all…
                        (goes towards Leeteuk and whispers)… Darling… I called up Jessie and told her
                        about our purpose of travel in Paris… that is all…

Leeteuk:          (sighs) Dear…I thought so… you know Jessie, she will never allow us to travel on
                        passenger planes… other than this, did she mention about our locating a possible
                        place for Taemin’s accommodation?

Sooyoung:       (nods) yes… Teukkie… I did, slip of the tongue…

Leeteuk:          (gasps) Oh my… I hope Taemin is not going to stay in one of their lavish residences…
                        please don’t you see, what is the use of Taemin’s experiencing challenges on
                        his own… He might get upset Dear; you better call Jessie and tell her…

Sooyoung:       (nods) I will …

They all board on the plane quietly and stop at the door to wait for the next instruction courteously the after the stewardess smiles at them and she simply opens the door to let guide them in; the Choi’s does not expect to be surprised yet again however they could not resist marveling how extravagant Kibum’s private planes are. Compare to their expressions, Jonghyun continuously gasps and gapes like a little kid holds Sooyoung hands and squeezes it. Sooyoung notices her nephew’s reaction, giggles and squeezes Jonghyun back with still unmovable reaction; the latter turns his face to look at Sooyoung in a query gaze so that she only gives him a sigh and a shoulder shrug.

Suddenly the stewardess asks them to be seated on their respective seats for the take off. Sooyoung leads Jonghyun to his seat and takes care of his fastening as the latter has remained overwhelmed by the whole situation. Jonghyun after the plane took off, has somehow gotten back to his senses and calls them one by one for affirmation…

"Auntie, Uncle, Minho, Taeminnie… hhhmm… is this real? Am I not dreaming?
I fly first class – I mean we have aircrafts but this… is a bigtime !!
Oopss sorry but yeah… This is the bomb!!…Whoa!!"

All of them could not control themselves laughing at Jonghyun’s silly remarks, unfastening all of their safety belts, Leeteuk, Minho and Taemin look at Sooyoung involving a pleading look to be the one in charge of responding to Jonghyun’s queries because they all know how inquisitive Jonghyun is… and they are not mistaken when the latter now looks at everyone and open his mouth to start his tirades of queries… Sooyoung smiles…

Jonghyun:       How did this happen? Why are we traveling like this? Who owns this?

Sooyoung:       (smiling) hhhmm… Jonggie, this is owned by our dearest extended son…

Jonghyun:       (naively asks) you mean, you have an incredible wealthy adopted son?

Sooyung:         (sighs at her nephew’s simplemindedness) aaiisshhh Jonggie…
                        he is the child of our dearest family friend…

Jonghyun:       aaahhhh… wow… he must be rich…

Taemin:           (butts in) hyung…. Do you want to play…?

Sooyoung:       (coughs and looks at Taemin thankfully) yeah…. Why don’t all of you play…

The still astounded Jonghyun apparently understands the situation, nods and pulls Taemin’s hands…and says,

"Fine then… (looks at Sooyoung and Leeteuk) no need to explain further… I understand…"

Sooyoung and Leeteuk smile at Jonghyun’s sense of maturity.
