Fleeting Time

"I'm offended, Kim Jongin. You said nothing lasts forever... Are you saying that we're nothing?"

And his sweet pearly teeth tugged at his plump lower lip, eyes twinkling with his childlike playfulness as the other male could only shrug off the flirty statement, his fingers ruffling gently in the olders auburn locks.

"Maybe I was out of my mind."

But maybe he still is.

Foreword

If you're looking for a fluffy romance, look elsewhere, because when reality hits; it hits hard.

 

There are plenty of cliche's based upon the idea of fate; those which are read from the inside of a fortune cookie, those which we come across as quotes "shared" on social networks, and that latent spark of intuition living deep in our own minds.

There are also plenty of people who detest these cliche's, one being Kim Jongin; another being Byun Baekhyun. The boys whose minds were racing faster than the fleeting time of childhood, focused on the transient moments of teenage years. Baekhyun fixated upon the pleasures of academics, Jongin enthralled with lust and adrenaline. Yet neither purposefully following the string which ended up tangling them together. Fate always has it's ways, yet the string is often too fragile for busy minds.
