Hanbin watches but never speaks, eyes following but never settling, hands longing but never claiming.

"You know he'll never know unless you say something." Jinhwan's words stay heavy in his mind.

He knows it's true but can he risk letting him know? Can he risk their friendship? Can he risk all their happy memories, laughs, smiles, and moments that only he will ever know, for some stupid chance he could have more? Hanbin watches Bobby laugh with Donghyuk and his heart tightens in his chest when he spares him a sideways glance and a grin. He's not sure he can last much longer like this.

They're sitting in an arm chair meant for one even though there's a free couch right next to them but they've always been comfortable like this. Hanbin has his head on Bobby's shoulder with his arm hooked snuggly around the others. As Bobby plays Zelda on his 3DS and Hanbin watches pretending to be interested in the game but really just enjoying the feel of Bobby's arm when it tenses up in axiousness when his character's about to die. He laughs when Bobby curses under his breathe and smiles when he pumps his arm in victory after winning a battle. 

"Do you want to try?" Bobby asks, turning the game over to Hanbin, who looks up at him surprised and immidately shakes his head.

"I'm no good. I'll lose." Hanbin says, pushing the game back to Bobby.

"You've never even played." Bobby laughs, not taking 'no' for an answer he places the game in Hanbins hand. "Come on, take a chance. You'll never know unless you try."

The way Bobby smiles at him Hanbin can almost swear he knows something, that he's implying something else besides winning the game. Or maybe it's just all inside his dumb head. There's a knock on the door and Bobby jumps to go answer it. "Try. You might do good." He says before leaving the room and Hanbin stares after him.

"Try." Hanbin looks down at the game running his fingers over the buttons. It's only a game though. But this, this is real. Hanbin silently stares off into space,his eyes seem focused on a single spot but really they are focused on a single person. His mind is working on what he wants and what it's worth and suddenly he drops the game and strides over to the door where Bobby is holding it open for someone.

"Bobby, hyung I need -" Hanbin freezes when he sees a girl waiting at the door and Bobby grabbing his jacket.

"What is it?" Bobby asks slipping one of his arms into a sleeve. Hanbin looks at the girl who looks away shyly. He notices she's wearing another one of Bobby's jackets. One Hanbin thought he lost because he hasn't seen him wear it in a couple months.

"I- uh...never mind. I forgot." Hanbin forces a smile and Bobby shakes his head and smiles back.

"You're so weird sometimes. Always forgetful. I'm going out, I'll be back late." Bobby winks and throws an arm over the girl before walking out the door. Hanbin watches them go with a mixture of jealousy and regret. His heart is pounding and his eyes are blurring from held back tears. He bites down hard on his bottom lip as his hands curl into fists clutching the hem of his t-shirt. He finally breaks. He runs out the door and down the hall until he's caught up with them at the bottom of the stairs.

"Bobby, hyung." Hanbin shouts catching the couples attention and they both turn around surprised. "I-I remember now. What I wanted to say. But I'll wait. I'll wait until you get back."

Bobby stares at him a little confused but nods. "Oh, ok. I'll see you then." 

Hanbin watches them go. His heart's still beating fast but now with slight anticipation. It's ok. He tells himself, taking in deep breaths. 

I can wait. 

A/N: Hi! First double b fic. I'm just testing the waters. I've never written double b but I love them so much I'd like to try my hand at a story or two. So starting off with a drabble. Hope you liked it.
