‘Challenger’ is the story of a young man named Erik, who is planning to obtain his Pokemon licence and begin his journey to try and become Pokemon champion. Along the way he must face down criminal gangs, personal woe and face almighty challenges together with his Pokemon. Can they survive the trials of Omega Ruby?
Foreword
The tale is a darker take on the Pokemon games, spanding just under 150,000 words in which Pokemon battles are fought to the battle of the combatants, and moral issues such as kidnapping, extortion and even death are frequently dealt with. I originally planned to write a short story to showcase my skills for my university dissertation, but eventually as I wrote more and wore the book turned into a full length novel.
