Sitting under that maple tree 
When it was just you and me 
I never felt so free 
It was fall 
All the leaves were gone 
It was a beautiful scene
Just you, me, and that maple tree 
Memories made
Memories shattered
The memories made were all that mattered
That maple tree 
Made you and I a "we"
Gave us both something to live for 
That maple tree 
Set us both free to roam 
Roam paths where they lead
Each other back to us 
Fusses and fights under that maple tree 
Because of that maple tree
Everything was alright
