Dragonfly
POETRYDragonfly
Sitting on a grass catching my breath, enjoying the sun on my face.
In the corner of my eye, I saw a dragonfly.
It landed on a grass, not far from where I sat.
I did not move, so not to spook, a big beautiful dragonfly.
I just looked, just breathing, and not moving, only a slight move of my head.
It would flicker it's wings, or fly to one grass to the next.
How long I stayed there, with a dragonfly,
Seems like a forever in eternity.
Dragonfly
There were so many of them, flying around me.
Some were small, and some were big.
My eyes were going wide in wonder.
I'm seeing the biggest I have ever seen.
They took my breath way.
I thought I landed on the fairyland of dragonflies.
Dragonfly
I remember, a time in my youth,
Trying to catch a dragonfly.
Slowly, painstakingly, freezing in time,
Holding my breath, waiting for a right time.
In a flash of a hand, holding with two fingers, A Dragonfly.
Lightly holding a dragonfly, with two fingers.
Enjoing the thrill of a catch.
Looking at it's wings, and it's big eyes.
Then, letting go, following with my eyes,
Looking at a dragonfly, fly.
Fly! Fly! With your silver wings!
Fly! Fly! Fly to the sky!
Fly! Dragonfly! Fly!
Dragonfly
A dragonfly landed on my hand, and would not fly.
I try not to move, keeping my hand steady as I could.
Slowly, Oh, So slowly, moving my hand.
So I could see, A dragonfly so closely.
I looked at it's silver wings, and it's colorful body,
It's big mysterious eyes, looking back at me.
