"Miss Irene." It was soft, almost a whisper, but Irene heard it.

"Why are you running away from me?"

"Who said I was running away?"

"No, of course you weren't. You were chasing after a taxi. You were obviously running away from me. I saw you looking at me back at the diner." Irene saw SeulGi rolled her eyes at the sarcasm.

"Why did you ran after me?"

"I asked first." Irene huffed, inching closer towards the taller girl.

"Why were you with a man?"

"Am I not allowed to?"

"Are you married?" SeulGi croaked, gulping down her saliva.

"I... yes."

"So he's your husband?"

"SeulGi, why are you asking me this?"

"Answer me!"

"Yes, he is." Irene sighed dejectedly.

"Oh, well. Congratulations."

"What?" Irene felt her face contorted in a confused expression.

"Congratulations? You're married with him, yes?"

For a moment, SeulGi saw regret and anger flashed through Irene's eyes, but as fast as it appeared, it went away just as fast. Irene said nothing, but she stepped into SeulGi's bubble, invading the other girl's personal space. She s her arms around SeulGi's waist and rested her cheeks on the taller woman's chest. She smiled when she heard SeulGi's frantic, thundering heartbeat.

"What are you doing?" SeulGi whispered.

"Let's just... stay like this for a while."

"...okay." And SeulGi returned the embrace, engulfing the petite woman into her warmth.
