Overshadowed

Seeing the sight before him made Dongwoon's heart clench. Both Yoseob and Junhyung are sitting across him laughing regarding something that they were watching on Yoseob's phone. Junhyung realised that someone was glaring at them and looked up, meeting Dongwoon's glare. Junhyung just smirked and pulled Yoseob closer to him with his arm across the younger's shoulders. Dongwoon can't take it anymore and took his leave. He entered their bedroom and sat on his bed with his head in his hands. His heart hurts. The sight just now made him sigh and realise that he can never be able to cuddle with his long time crush.

No one knew that Dongwoon had a crush on his hyung, Yoseob, ever since debut. No one, except for Junhyung. However, the latter also likes Yoseob since day one. This caused the both of them to be involved in a silent competition with each other. It seems as though Junhyung is winning though. It can be seen even on stage whereby Junhyung will always be beside Yoseob and not even giving Dongwoon a chance. Whenever Dongwoon is with Yoseob, the next thing he knows is that Junhyung is on the other side, putting his arms protectively around Yoseob's shoulders. It annoyed Dongwoon so much. The most hurtful thing is that Yoseob doesn't know about his feelings. Yoseob sees Dongwoon only as his bestfriend and bandmate.

Dongwoon still remembered the day when his heart broke into a million pieces.....

Only Dongwoon and Yoseob was left in the dorm as the other members had their own schedule. Yoseob went towards him and sat beside him, looking troubled. Worried, Dongwoon asked his hyung and long-time crush what is the matter.

"Woonie-ah, do you think it's wrong if I say that I might actually fall in love with our band member?" Yoseob asked innocently, with a crease forming on his forehead.

Dongwoon gulped and looked at his hyung who is pouting and looking very troubled. "Aniya, hyung. You can love whoever you want. I don't think the others will mind especially not after the Dooseung couple told us that they were officially together!" he coaxed his hyung.

"But, I don't think he loves me Woonie! Wait, not even love, I don't even think he likes me! He is always so cold towards me whenever we are not on stage. He doesn't even want to sit beside me in the van! All I can do is just hope that he looks at me, just one look, Woonie-ah!" Yoseob complained with tears in his eyes.

Dongwoon felt a lump in his throat. It was so obvious that it wasn't him since he loves being around Yoseob and made sure that he shows affection towards his favourite hyung. "Yoseob-hyung, how can anyone not like you? You are so bubbly and energetic! You are the group's moodmaker and you know how to make everyone happy. Your smile brightens up anyone's day. I know it brightens up my day. Anyone who doesn't like you must be blind, hyung," he replied softly.

"Hyung, it's Junhyung-hyung right? The one that you fell in love with?" he asked, trying to contain his sadness in his chest.

Yoseob just nodded while biting his lip. "Do you think I should tell him?" Yoseob asked his beloved maknae. Dongwoon nodded and replied, "He might actually love you back, hyung. You may never know. It's worth a try, right?"

Yoseob didn't say a word and just left the room. When the other members came back, Yoseob asked Junhyung whether they could talk at the balcony alone. Dongwoon could see that his hyung was nervous so he mouthed a simple "Fighting!" and gave a thumbs up to him before he proceeded to the balcony to confess his love. Dongwoon blinked back a few tears and went to the bathroom to wash his face. He was crushed. He had no idea how long he stayed in the bathroom until Kikwang knocked on the door to call him out as there was something important the group wanted to talk about.

The minute he entered the living room, he saw the Junseob couple cuddling on the couch. "I guess, Yoseob-hyung was successful after all," he thought sadly. When all six members were gathered in the living room, Junhyung addressed them. "I just want to tell all of you that me and Yoseob are a couple now." Yoseob smiled and blushed, looking at the floor. While the other members were congratulating them, Dongwoon gave the new couple a small smile before excusing himself.

He plopped himself onto his bed and began sniffling, pulling his blanket up to his chin. He will never have his chance now.

"Woonie-ah, what are you thinking about!" A cheery voice cut through his train of thoughts. He turned and saw Yoseob looking at him, smiling. "Aniya hyung, nothing," he replied. "Yeobo, don't bother about our maknae. Perhaps he just misses his family. Don't worry kay?" Junhyung said to Yoseob with a smirk before glancing at Dongwoon. Yoseob just shrugged and continued playing with his phone.

"Saranghae, hyung," Dongwoon mumbled while glancing at Yoseob before leaving the room.

I feel so sad for Dongwoon ): Sometimes, I can feel that he just want some moments with his Yoseob-hyung if you observe properly in fancams and performances. He will also look disappointed whenever Junhyung comes and 'grabs' Yoseob away from him.. Or hmm, maybe it's just my delusional fangirl mind talking /seobs

DONGSEOB IS SUCH A CUTE OTP AND I HAVE YET TO FIND ANOTHER FELLOW B2UTY THAT SHIPS THEM /le sigh
