Everyone thinks of Mark as awkward. Handsome, but still awkward.

 

Honestly speaking, Mark agrees. He is the definition of awkward.

 

He can't even start a conversation be it with his friends or strangers. He wants to blame his mouth and voice for that though. He can talk perfectly, but it's just that his mouth doesn't want to cooperate.

 

He only has one best friend, who goes by the name Jaebum or JB for short. Mark thinks it's absurd. The nickname JB reminds him of Justin Bieber and that is not a good thing. Despite his ridiculous nickname, JB is the only person who can tolerate Mark's awkwardness. He always saves Mark from embarrassing moments that are caused by his awkwardness. Mark thinks JB is his soulmate, but he is proven wrong when JB introduces Jinyoung as his boyfriend.

 

"Then who will save me after this?" Mark has said. Dramatically if I may add.

 

"Come on, Mark. It can't be that bad." JB has assured him. His boyfriend nodding to his statement.

 

"Yeah, Mark. Who knows your awkwardness will disappear after this." Jinyoung adds.

 

Apparently, JB and his boyfriend gives the worst advice ever because Mark is still awkward.

 

On JB and Jinyoung's fifth date, they have invited Mark for Jinyoung has told them that he wants to introduce someone to them.

 

Mark hopes -prays- that JinYoung's friend is not a walking god. His mind doesn't work perfectly when he's around good looking guys. And looking at Jinyoung, it's very likely that his friend is very handsome because Jinyoung once said that he only hangs out around pretty people.

 

They are waiting for Jinyoung's friend in a cafe and Jinyoung is focused on his phone that he doesn't even notice JB pouting beside him.

 

All of a sudden, he looks up and his face glows.

 

"Jackson's here." He says with a grin.

 

Right on time, the bell chimes, signalling someone has entered the cafe.

 

Mark is still trying to register what is happening because one second, the bell chimes and another, Jinyoung puts his hand up to attract the newcomer's attention.

 

As soon as Mark lays his eyes on the new guy -Jackson- his mind begins to shut down. When Jackson flashes him a smile that can make the sum ashamed, Mark starts to sweat.

 

Jinyoung stands between the two of them and introduces them to each other.

 

"Jackson, this is Mark. Mark, this is Jackson." Jinyoung says but his effort goes to waste as Mark doesn't even hear a word. He is too focused at the handsome face in front of him.

 

Mark really should thank Jackson's parents for having an eye candy.

 

"Hello, Mark. As you already know. The name's Jackson. Jackson Wang." Oh god, his voice. His voice makes Mark's knees weak.

 

'Please don't say anything embarrassing. Please don't say something embarrassing.' He repeats in his mind.

'Please don't say something emba-'

 

"Marry me." 

 

Cue the awkward silence.

 

'Great. Now he will think of me as a freak.' 

 

"Are you kidding me?" Jackson exclaims once he recovers from his shock.

 

Mark can't be more embarrassed. He finally sees someone that makes his heart skip a beat and he just has to ruin it.

 

What Jackson says next is jaw dropping.

 

"Are you proposing me without a ring? If you don't prepare a ring, at least seal this engagement with a kiss." 

 

Cue the collective gasps from their friends.

 

"..what?" Mark is confused. Why isn't Jackson running away? And why is he taking the proposal so positively?

 

"I said, kiss me if you want to marry me." Jackson concludes.

 

And at that moment, Mark follows his heart. Mainly because his mind doesn't work anymore.

 

He leans forward and cups Jackson's face. When their lips meet, Mark can feel all sorts of feelings. Happiness. Joy. Excitement. And most importantly, love.

 

When the kiss is broken, Jackson smirks.

 

"Hello, fiancé. Wanna go to my house later?" 

 

Cue the sound of a couple dropping onto the ground.

 

With red cheeks, Mark nods, not believing his voice. 

 

"So, what do we do about them?" Jackson asks, gesturing to JB and Jinyoung who are still on the floor.

 

Mark shrugs. Jackson chuckles.

 

"Never mind them. I still want a kiss." 

 

With that, his lips find their way to Mark's.

 

Jackson thinks Mark is cute. Awkward, but still cute.
