Baekhyun’s POV

Lee Nahyun! I’m sorry about Taeyeon, she get jealous from time to time. >.< Anyways, I had fun at the coffee bar, you work hard! Have a safe flight, call me when you land! I hear Singapore is a beautiful place.

“Yah, oppa why do you keep texting her, she’s fine, I hope not.” Taeyeon said under her breath whilst watching over my phone.

“You’re cute when you’re mad, but I told you, we’ve been friends for six years, I’m just checking on her.” I replied as i pinched her cheek gently and smiled.

“Psht, you’re lucky for your cuteness.” Taeyeon replied as she continued sipping on her bubble tea.

Lee Nahyun POV

I smiled as I read the text. I put my phone back in my wallet and placed it in my back pocket. I looked up as I saw the “arrivals” sign whilst I began walking towards the direction.

“Oh, sorry.” I apologised as I felt someone bump into me forcefully.

“Huh, rude, don’t even apologise.” I said to myself as I kissed my lips together.

I fetched my baggage from baggage claim and began walking to the exit of the airport. until I saw a currency exchange ATM. I walked towards it and reached for back pocket and felt nothing. I began touching my trouser vigorously as I began panicking.

FLASHBACK

“Oh, sorry.” I apologised as I felt someone bump into me forcefully.

FLASHFORWARD

“Aish, pickpocket, passport, phone, money, ID card, nonononono.” I facepalmed myself as I began panicking and looking around whilst running my hand through my hair with frustration.

“adakah anda puan okay?” (Are you okay?) I heard someone say from behind.

He was quite short, I don’t know what he said, I think it was singaporean.

“Excuse me?” I asked

“Anda kelihatan hilang, di sini izinkan saya membantu anda dengan beg anda dan bawa ia ke adat.” (You look lost, here let me help you with your bag and take it to the custom.) He continued talking as he took my bag.

“Nonono, my bag, don’t steal, get away.” I shouted as I kneed him in the stomach.

Suddenly I saw a boy run up to him and put his hand on his shoulder whilst the singaporean boy was bending over in pain. The boy had darkish brown hair, it was quite messy, he was tall, he had a good sense of fashion wearing a white shirt with a gold collar and black skinny jeans.

“Benji, are you okay?” I heard him say.

I was confused but I don’t think he was much harm. How was I supposed to know? I got pickpocketed. I walked towards him and bowed my head as I apologised. I saw him hold his stomach and run in the opposite direction.

“What’s wrong with you?” I heard the other boy say as he turned his head towards me.

“Oh, I got pickpocketed, I lost all my valuables and I can’t speak malay so I thought he was going to do something.” I replied as I pushed my hair behind my ears.

“In a public place with almost three thousand people, are you stupid?” He continued.

“Psh, rude, well I’m sorry, tell him I’m sorry, I’ll be on my way.” I concluded as I walked past him avoiding eye contact.

Narrator’s POV

“Excuse me, do you know where…” Nahyun continued asking taxi drivers for a ride but no success besides cursing in return for money.

The boy stood near the door leaning on the side as he watched Nahyun continue struggling. It was soon nine pm and soon enough Nahyun approached and sat down on some stairs nearby.

“Why are you even here?” He approached her from behind.

“Oh, I was supposed to look at some universities before heading back to Korea.” Nahyun replied as she continued looking around for a free taxi driver.

“It’s late now, you won’t find a taxi with manners, do you have anyone you can contact or go to nearby?” He continued.
