Jungkook stands up from the couch after turning the TV off and then slowly walk towards the huge window where he can see the view of the city. Looking down from his apartment eight stories up, the grey sky makes the city look sad and gloomy, just like how he feels during rainy days. With both hands inside his pockets, Jungkook sighs as he watch rain droplets cascade down the glass window.

He makes his way to the kitchen with the intention of making himself a cup of warm coffee but stops midway when he realizes something. He hasn’t washed the dishes he used during lunch, nor the coffee maker he used from the morning earlier. It reminds him of someone.

There is only one person who comes to his mind.

Jin would’ve ranted at him already if he saw the state of his kitchen. He was always keen on keeping the kitchen clean and organized because it was his favorite part of the house. Unlike Jungkook who thinks cleaning the dishes and organizing the kitchenware and appliances is a tiring chore, Jin on the other hand enjoys washing them and putting them back in their places just like how he enjoys using them whenever he cooks.

Jin… Jungkook whispers softly.

He retreats back and makes his way to his bedroom instead. Opening his closet, he grabs his coat and umbrella, and then heads out of his apartment.

He needs a walk.

The elevator opens to an empty lobby, as expected. Just like any rainy days people prefer to stay indoors and keep warm, away from the wet and cold weather outside. Jungkook stretches his arm as soon as he gets outside to feel the rain on his hands.

The rain reminds Jungkook of that day. It has been three years since that unfortunate day.

He opens his umbrella holding it with his right hand while he puts his left hand in the pocket of his coat, and then he sets off.

*

It was a cloudy afternoon when he and Jin had a big fight, a fight he started himself with the intention of ending everything.

“I don’t understand! What do you mean it’s over?!” Jin asked as he followed Jungkook who was trying to walk away.

“It’s over! We’re done, we’re through! Is it really that hard to understand?” Jungkook turns around to answer Jin, then turns back immediately and continues walking.

“What the hell is wrong with you Jeon Jungkook?! You were fine last time we met?! Am I missing something here? What happened this week huh?!” Jin asked some more as he continued to follow behind Jungkook.

“Nothing! I’m just done!" Jungkook yells, this time not even turning back to face Jin.

“And you expect me to believe that?” Jin asked again as he stopped following Jungkook, Jungkook stopped in his tracks as well.

By this time, the thunderstorms can be heard clearly and no other person can be seen in the streets except for the two of them. Other people already got inside the buildings and different establishments to take cover as it looks like the rain will fall any minute now.

Jin stayed in his position facing Jungkook, while Jungkook on the other hand turned around to face Jin but didn’t try to get close to him or even speak.

“What’s wrong Jungkook?” Jin broke the silence between them “If you’re gonna be like this, at least let me know the reason why.”

“Because there is none.” Jungkook answers flatly “I don’t have any feelings for you anymore.”

“You’re lying!” Jin exclaimed “You’re hiding something from me, I know it!

“I already answered your question, I’m done with this” Jungkook turns and starts walking away again.

“Jungkook stop! let’s talk about this like we always do!” Jin yells, now on the brink of tears.

Jungkook continued walking away as if he didn’t hear anything Jin just said. Jin runs and catches up to Jungkook.

“Jungkook wait!” Jin says as he grabs Jungkook’s arm. Startled by Jin’s touch, Jungkook swayed his arm back trying to get rid of Jin’s arm.

This unexpected action causes Jin to lose balance and fall on the ground.

Jungkook wanted to run to Jin but he couldn’t move. He himself is shocked by what he just did.

Jin looks up to him in disbelief, a look that made Jungkook feel like the most horrible human being on the planet at that moment. But instead of helping Jin up, hug him and tell him he was sorry and that he didn’t mean anything of what he just said, that they were all lies and that he still loves him very much… instead he turned aroun

Chapter 1: I was kind of hoping to see jungkook's reason for acting like that to Jin when he decided to breakup with him. But gosh, this made me squeal so loudly in my pillow. It was so cute and depressing to see Kookie still being in love with Jin and , I think you might be the most amazing author i have ever met.
