Foreword
The room never stays familiar. The people around him say his name, but he doesn't recognize him. The tall man understands what he likes to eat, though he's never seen them before.
Later, during lunch, the cup touching his lips is unfamiliar. He doesn't know why he's sitting at a foreign table and why a tall man calls out his name. The food on his plate are placed in a way that's oddly comforting to him and he spins the plate around in a compulsive behavior. The song on the radio must be new, because he's never heard it.
The tall man helps him to bed.
Morning comes.
It repeats.
