Foreword

A frightening growl woke up the little girl in the middle of the night. Just when she was about to try to sleep again, she heard the growl again, and this time it was near her bedroom. She closed her eyes in hoping that it was a possible nightmare, but the growls keep getting closer and scarier. Her mind was trying to tell her that it was only her imagination, and when she was about to close her eyes, she heard a scream. She hide under her blanket, and covered her ears with her tiny hands. Deep in her heart she wanted her mom to come to her room, and tell her everything was just in her mind, but she once again heard the scream, and she knew where it was coming from.

Taking one step from her bed and being covered with her blanket, the young girl decided to walk outside. Taking a deep breath, she opened the door and took some steps to the hall. She felt that something was different with every step she was taking. It was summer season, but it felt like it was winter. She could even see her breath just like when she is playing outside her house during the winter season. The screams were getting louder, and she was trying to keep her feet from going to another direction, but she needed to be brave.

After a few steps, she was in front of her mother’s bedroom. Just when she was holding the door knob, the screams fade out. She didn’t know whether to feel relief or scare. The young girl decided to go with her first thought, and stop holding the door knob. She took some steps backwards, and when she was about to turn back to her bedroom, she heard the growl again. It was coming from her mother’s bedroom. She took the few courage that she had at that moment, and went inside to the bedroom.

After ten years, she still haven’t explained to anyone what she saw….
