  "Mum?"

  "Yes honey?" 

  The latter took a deep breath before answering.

  "I think I've finally found my purpose in life."

  Hands clutched firmly against her chest and eyes b with tears of joy at his sudden sense of maturity, the lady of the house moved forward to wrap her arms around her son's torso.

  "I'm so glad you've found your way around things my boy." She nearly chocked on her tears. "At long last, my son has abandoned his fruitless feelings for the—"

  "Eh? Abandoned?" The taller pulled away from his mother. "Mum what are you talking about?"

  "That Baekhyun boy you were just talking about days ago!" His mother reminded, "weren't you just about to tell me how you've managed to move on from your feelings for him?"

  At that, Chanyeol smiled sheepishly down at the shorter female, hand reaching over to scratch the back of his scalp in embarrasement.

  "Umm actually, I wanted to say that my purpose in life was to... w-was to..."

  "Yes? Go on?" The lady of the house leaned forward worriedly.

  "I...to..." He mustered all the courage left within him. "To win the heart of Byun Baekhyun by any means neccessary!" 

  A blink. A slow one.

  "Mum?" He waved his arms nervously before the frozen female. "Mum? As in mum?"

  "PARK.CHANYEOL!"

  All it took was a mere second for her to rush to the kitchen and come back with a burning pan in her hands, filled with their breakfast which had been left half cooked.

  Eyes widening in realisation, the tall male made a mad dash for the stairs, barely escaping the first blow from his own mother when she sent the pan flying over his shoulders.

  "I'm sorry mum, but I'll rather die than give up on him!" He skipped up the stairs in large steps, hoping that his mother would understand his feelings towards Baekhyun soon before she murdered her own son.
