Description
In an innocent act of gratitude, Amaya nurses the mysterious criminal Donghae back to health. This uncharacteristic deed draws the unwanted attention of the most powerful beings in the country in a world where catching their eye means death for the lucky. Fleeing her home, she joins up with Donghae and his band of fellow fugitives, thinking that the further she runs, the safer her loved ones would be. But every choice has consequences, some of which may be too heavy to bear...and not all sacrifices are enough to pay the price.

“Thank you,” she finally said. “For saving me twice tonight.”
He shrugged carelessly. “Don’t mention it,” he replied, though he didn’t look at her as he said the words. Was he angry at being inconvenienced? Annoyed that she hadn’t wanted to repay the favor?
“What is it?” she asked.
He frowned deeply. “Miss Amaya,” Donghae replied. “I’m afraid I’ve put you in grave danger tonight. That man…he was right. I am a wanted criminal. Helping me like this will only make Her angry.”
Foreword
A/N: When I decided to write a fanfic, I knew right off the bat that I wanted to feature Super Junior. The dynamic personalities of the members, their little quirks and the nicknames and such that fans had given there were pure fanfiction gold. However, as I thought about it, I realized that I have zero talent for writing realistic fiction. I'd completely butcher the boys if I attempted to stick them into a fabricated real-life setting. Furthermore, any attempts at romance would go straight down the toilet- if there's any romance, it will mostly be implied. So I went on the complete opposite end of the spectrum, and created a new world, and cast the members of Super Junior as a rag-tag group of fantasy adventure heroes. It will take a while for me to introduce them but I hope you'll be patient with me.
Before I even knew the name of my protagonist, I already knew who my antagonists would be. Now, first off, I have to say that I adore SNSD. However, when I saw their concept photos for "The Boys" and learned that it was supposed to be a fairytale theme...well, let's just say the premise for this story was born. I didn't make SNSD my antagonists because I hate them; I made them the most powerful characters in the story because I admire them. While they are the villains, I've tried to portray them sympathetically. You may find them creepy, but impossible to hate.
