the red string of fate. also known as the red thread of destiny. It is the invisible red string that supposedly connects two people together, similar to the idea of soul mates. according to the myth, the gods tie an invisible red cord around the wrist of those that are destined to meet one another in a certain situation or help each other in a certain way. it is said that the red string may stretch and get tangled but can never break.
